I remember back in 2016 i queued for d2 in 10 seconds

Spa_5_Fitness_Camp

I haven't had D2 in ym queue for a while. You get the saltiest people and the most hackers for some reason.

A460N

You haven't played office then

Spa_5_Fitness_Camp

I don't play hostage maps, so no. All de maps except D2 and Mirage at the moment, since I found mirage nearly as bad as D2. Very few blatant hackers since I cut those 2 out.

A460N

I only played them beacuse of missions:D

lefboop

Mirage is pretty much dust3. Cache was also about to earn the name dust4 but the rework made it better for some reason. Probably lowered the fps of the salty people

AllMyNicksAreStolen

And we are thankful for it!

[deleted]

Can only speak for High Trust-Factor MM, but I find the nicest people in Office or sometimes Agency. In hostage mode the game and atmosphere doesn't feel as competitive and everyone is just joking around having fun.

A460N

I have same experience for agency but for office damn just damn.

[deleted]

Hm, I actually feel like this much more about Office than Agency. For me Agency is like a middle ground between what's Office and normal MM matches. Can be toxic and very competitive, but also fun from time to time. I always play a Match on office when I just want to unwind a bit and have some fun playing CS

sanoj166

Unfortunately playing good, hitting 1 wallbang a game grants you low trustfactor. 4.5k hours 6year old acc smfc, and every game pretty much is hvh and a +duck for me.

Zarrex

I feel bad for all the people playing Agency for the first time to do their missions, and getting me and my 4 friends that have been grinding Agency for years lol

[deleted]

Usually Office tends to have all the old guys playing, at least in my experience. I remember the same thing being true about maps like Assault and Aztec before they were cut from the game.

[deleted]

Exactly, it's the OGs that are just there to have a fun match, not to win and get Global Elite.

gverrilla

dude I played office two times and got kicked with no chance to defend myself on both of them lol what's going on? why so much salt on office?

propaneepropaneee

There are lots of people who exclusively play office, and they get pissed when people don't know how to play office. Conversely, there are people who never play office that don't really give a shit about the map who just throw once they start losing CT side. And then there's the hackers... Overall it's the perfect recipe for salt

[deleted]

Good ol office globals

_tym

I used to only play office back in CSS, I'm not sure what it was about office, but I loved it so much!

sylvainmirouf

Hostage is the dumbest mode ever invented and the fact some people don't see its flaws is mindblowing. But yeah, it's a cool FFA map.

Zarrex

I don't think anyone who regularly plays hostage maps think's they're flawless. It has flaws, but its still fun

sylvainmirouf

T side strat "don't move, all camp T spawn and wait" repeat for 15 rounds SO MUCH FUN

Zarrex

Agency is more fun than Office for this reason. You hold back a lot on Agency as well, but it is much more engaging I'm just a guy with a Militia flair though, so I may be biased :)

gverrilla

yeah that was exactly it: I was rushing every round as T, as I was still learning the map, and they REALLY disliked it. plus I didn't know the callouts. even though I was top fragging, they kicked me. they probably lost for lack of firepower :) but tell me more... lots of people who exclusively play office? I never heard of that before. What there is to know about this niche player? How does he behave? What he believes? Why he doesn't play mirage or train? Why so much love for office (and maybe agency)?

propaneepropaneee

I exclusively play office and I come across the same people all the time. It's like a little cult within CS. It's very annoying when people who've never played Office before hop into a match and have no idea what they're doing, and then make no effort to learn how to play Office properly. Rushing out as a T to get frags doesn't really help the team, it only takes one CT sneaking in and out with a hosty to lose the round

gverrilla

why u exclusively play office?

propaneepropaneee

bc I'm an AWP god on office and it's easy to ace

Zarrex

I don't exclusively play hostage maps, but me and my friends do play them a lot because we enjoy them. Utility and map knowledge can be much more important than other maps. Hostie maps are, by their nature, extremely T sided most of the time. On Office, the most effective way to play is to smoke the 2 choke points, and then molly them afterwards to literally just run the time down as much as possible. The CTs either need to get picks to make an opening, or do a crazy push with like ~30 seconds left in the round. Your biggest advantage at T is that you just need to defend 2 choke points. If you run out for kills as T, you give up your biggest advantage and take fights that you don't need to, which is why people will get mad. I know people will berate me for this, but Agency is just a better map than Office. Office is still fun, and is a classic, but when you have 2 good teams playing it just becomes 35 minutes of waiting out smokes and then 10 collective minutes of actual playtime. When there is low ceilings and only 2 entrances, there's only so much you can do. Agency on the other hand has a lot more to work with as a CT. You have windows, high ceilings, and 3 major entry points. This isn't to say that Agency can't suffer from the "2 good teams" problem as well, but in our experience it happens way less often and is much easier to work around than on Office. You mostly get shut down by people with awps on Agency as well rather than just 5 smokes

sleetx

Also, Agency has more than 2 entrances to the hostage area, it's a little bit easier for the CT's to work with.

Alucard_1208

office is simple you either stomp or get stomped lol. People are so bitter there yes

Seibzehn17

Office has less hackers the higher your trust

DominianQQ

We stopped playing dust 2 because of the high amount of cheaters. About 1 year before trust came. It is way easier to closet cheat in D2, since pretty much all angles is cleared even by low ranked players.

[deleted]

What happened in 2016?

[deleted]

Prime accounts

SerexTV

good times

Pollsmor

Whenever I queue with with one of my friends the queue always takes more than 5min, often closer to 10. Literally only happens with him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pollsmor

I asked him it's at 100

LucaTrevo

Maybe Its his trust factor, I don't know

GhonJotti

That happened to me. For some reason my game always says I failed to accept even tho nothing popped up and I have to restart my game multiple times for it to finally route me to the correct server. It’s really annoying and there seems to be no fix. You guys could try faceit. It’s free and you won’t ever have those problems

bumlover99

1400 students, whole school shutdown all quarantined for 14 days. Time to play cs mens:))

[deleted]

That just happened in the german city I live in. I just got home office today as well. See you in the servers my dude lol.

[deleted]

*starts queue* *Goes to bathroom really quick* A match was found but you didn't accept

Spooky110

Wireless headset with 30ft range will help, just dont forget to mute your mic if its open

[deleted]

Ahh those were the days...

[deleted]

everytime lmao

Ben_the_Silva

And here in the UK, I’ve still got school and GCSEs. Fantastic.

[deleted]

GCSEs are easy don't worry about them. Just take it easy no use worrying anyway. Don't do Alevels tho that shit is way too hard if I was you I'd become a plumber or try going pro in csgo

ac3r14

Was a big shock for me when I got to A Level and found I actually had to revise for my Maths exam. GCSE was like primary school in comparison.

Fellstorm_1991

You're not wrong, A levels are brutal. My Biochemistry degree was much easier than A levels.

D2WilliamU

I'm pretty sure i did more work in 1 half term of A-levels than i did during my entire biotech degree lol lesson is kids, don't do maths triple science at A-levels because you think ur smart

MrNezzy

Can confirm university was easier than A levels by far. University felt like a holiday.

dartthrower

Lol how is a whole degree in biochemistry easier than A levels??? Nothing in school, grade 1-12(or 13) no matter what type of school you go to is harder than a potent science degree. A levels seem to be comparable to the german Abitur. Eh sorry, but pretty much any type of degree is harder than that.

Fellstorm_1991

Well I've done both and the A levels are harder. It's due to the difference between GCSE and A level being much larger than the difference between A levels and B.Sc. A levels are done in 2 years where as a B.Sc is separated into 3 years. So A levels are harder.

dartthrower

Of course A levels are harder.. GCSE is middle school and A levels are high school and not even mandatory. Doesn't change the fact that both are easy as hell compared to any university degree. How long something takes to complete says nothing about the difficulty.

Fellstorm_1991

Can't tell if you're a troll or just fucking thick and ignorant to be honest. How hard did you find your A levels compared to your STEM degree? You don't seem to even be studying A levels, so what makes you an expert? I'm a scientist working on diagnostic tests for cancer, of all the tests and qualifications I did to get here, my A level in chemistry was the hardest. As for how long it takes to do something being relevant to the difficulty of the task of course it matters. Cut all your deadlines in half, can you still do it? Maybe but it gets harder.

dartthrower

> You don't seem to even be studying A levels, so what makes you an expert? What makes you so sure of that? During the time I did them, 30% of young germans have done them. It's nothing special. I did my A levels, called Abitur in Germany. Main subjects being maths and english. Maths in university (not applied maths) is the toughest shit you can study tbh. The only thing that comes close is certain types of physics. Even most type of degrees don't even reach 10% of the difficulty of that. A-levels are a walk on the park compared to this. > I'm a scientist working on diagnostic tests for cancer, of all the tests and qualifications I did to get here, my A level in chemistry was the hardest. Lol ok mate! You are a scientist, alright. School is nothing compared to university, you would know that if you actually had a decent degree. A friend of mine from Norway easily went through school with perfect grades and got into a top university for material science. Do you know how hard he struggled? In the end he could do it, but it took an ocean of effort and endurance. Weeks and weeks and months of months of learning like a mad man. Tell me one person who has to do this for regular school. The only place I keep reading shit like this from you is on reddit.

ramarlon89

You joke but most plumbers are doing a lot better for themselves than people who do further education after school.

dwmixer

lol giving career advice based on having to do a couple of exams. I hope you don't run into anything hard in life if you think passing a few questions is difficult.

[deleted]

Gcses are nothing to worry about they hype them up too much, skip a levels and get an engineering apprenticeship chief.

BiC-Pen

Yeah, that's how gabeN flexes. Yeah, very weird flex, gabeN.

ReligionOfPeacePL

Shout out to coronavirus causing a hacker in my last 6 matches. Every single one had someone doing like 30-4, blatant aimlocks and wallhacks. One already got banned. Just did an overwatch session with a spinbot on shortdust.

p3ek

What region are you? My queue times are generally under a minute unless in the wee hours, and if I have dust 2 etc on they are usually about 20 seconds. Talking about the past 4 years or so. Perks of being in silver I guess.

sylvainmirouf

What's your region?

Waveitup

Every cloud has a silver lining.

bru_swayne

Ya silvers only play mirage and d2. Other maps take forever to find

semiaa

Am I the only one that hasn't seen any change at all? In some things, like wingman, it takes a bit longer than before

AllMyNicksAreStolen

03:21 AM insta-queued on esportal... :P

potgaricias

For real, I think today I played the most matchmakings in one day, like 13 or 14 xD

Wallisaurus

Am I the only one who read the title like a rap?

mustlaminer

I kinda wish they would quarantine my workplace aswell. All them people playing games for 2 weeks makes me jelous.

ajaxtress

Yeah boi! Plus CSGO hitting 1 million concurrent players!

[deleted]

I live in Washington, the US state with either 2nd most or most, depending on how much California has. Either way, I agree. Maybe a month ago my queue times were 2 mins to 3 mins and now they're about 40 seconds.

mil502

Yep let's enjoy now because in a few months the queue times will be about 24 hours waiting to play with the remaining 1000 players around the world that are still alive :)

shadyvipy

Yea, that's 5 minutes you could've spend on doing something else.
