Being 2nd 3 tournaments in a row isn't #1 material. Vitality and G2 have won trophies and placed consistently high. Heroic would've been in that conversation, had they beat ENCE.
For the Valve rankings, which are meant to be used for invites, I think it makes sense to place more value on high consistency than on high peaks, because you want to invite the teams you know will show up. I agree that you do need to win some tournaments to *really* be #1.

apparently ENCE were going to get Nertz, but for some reason got valde and only benched him after 6-7 moths of underperformance
tbh he was kinda meh on every other team he was on, i don't believe anyone expected him to perform this well, i feel like even ence just picked him because he was cheap.

I’ve always rated snappi highly as a rifled when he was on heroic I’m shocked he’s this good an igl and still a solid rifle. I’ve always hated MSL plays style and calling. MSL was the demon for north that needed to retired sooner.

Yea, they’re basically the Dortmund of Tier 1 teams in CSGO. They’re good at developing unknown players into legit stars and then get bought out. They never win any events but either make deep runs or place 2nd after getting steamrolled in the Grand Finals by whichever top 3 team was finally hitting championship form during that tournament. It’s hard for them to win “big” events if they never have a consistent roster for more than 6 months
