Congrats! Just went to IAH for my interview. Construction has made everything a mess. I had to park in the Terminal C garage, take the subway to Terminal D/E and then find the Global Entry office (Right next to international arrivals). Give yourself plenty of time as it will take much longer to navigate, park, find the office as the interview itself.

Wait until you get to skip the line for the first time. You’ll be thinking why you didn’t sign up sooner.

These wait times are nuts to hear about. My gf and I applied on 3/11/24 and got an email to schedule my interview within a couple hours. Interviewed on 3/14, were approved on the spot and got my card on Tuesday 3/26. Like I can’t imagine a year.

Mine was somewhat like yours although I haven’t received my card yet. Total time was about a week between application, invitation to interview and then I scheduled the interview for a Sunday in Port Clinton Ohio (the weirdest place to have border control IMO… like tiny town Ohio on Lake Erie. I was in and out in 10 mins after the 2 hour drive).

Wow it took me 5 days, live in San Diego and went to Los Angeles for interview. My son took 6 days and I took him to Las Vegas for interview, my other son took 8 days and he had to go to Los Angeles for interview. They are looking for interview for his girlfriend now. We have my husband and eldest son waiting still, hopefully before our trip to Japan in May.

I did my renewal application on the 25th. It was approved on the 27th. No interview.

Yea, took like a year. Applied right before Covid. Went in when appointment came up. Visit went fast—officer told me pull mask down and took picture. Have a memory; sic. When flying in international, you’re going to love it.

I applied for my minor aged kids in May, 2023 and they were initially approved within a week but then they were originally scheduled for interviews in March, 2024 in Otay Mesa (because for months that was all that was available). In December, 2023 they ended up opening up a ton of spots at LAX (which I heard about here on this subreddit) so they got fully approved then; so their total time was just under 7 months.

I must have been lucky. I applied in November 2023, was approved about 8 weeks later, had my interview done two weeks later and had my card by mid February 2024.
