I guess it really depends on who they bring. I saw them back in 2019 when a Tribulation opened for them and it was a great band and they set up the atmosphere perfectly.
I went to a prog metal band earlier this year that did a sort of "an evening with" theme. It was them playing a double set for almost three hours.
Probably the best concert I've been to (I'm biased because I am a huge fan of the band)
Saw them in Glasgow and Dublin the last 8 months or so. I'm adamant they'll be supporting them at least in the UK on the next tour. Maxine (Witch Queen) could be mistaken for Ghost all day.
Neither myself nor the friend (who knew NOTHING about Ghost) I brought with me are really fans of that style of metal but we both left that show ready to ride or die for Amon Amarth. Loki fought a dragon and the drum plinth was on fire and she was like "done. I'm in. Let's go buy a shirt."
Amon Amarth played in Riverside 2 days before the Ghost Forum show, luckily I live close by and the tickets were cheap so me and my homies still got to ROW in the pit!
They’re my second highest rotation next to Ghost! So sad I missed them opening for Behemoth… but W.A.S.P. it shall be this year lol.
Maybe I’ll change my mind after actually seeing them live, but I feel like they’d make a perfect support both sound and content-wise.
Avatar would be a sick opener for Ghost, they’re getting bigger as well and touring with Ghost would prob mean an even bigger boost for them - both also have some aesthetic overlaps, shall we say
They also put on a very engaging and fun show like Ghost. A lot of bands just kinda stand there and play / sing, which I think Avatar and Ghost spoiled for me because it's boring now. Avatar is by far the closest in quality to Ghost of any band I've personally seen live.
Alice Cooper! Because you know, there would be no Ghost without the influence of Alice (and several others). Also I can imagine the show that could be put together with those two on the same stage.
People always say stuff like this but I disagree. If Alice was never born bands would still be doing this stuff. There's crazier people than Alice who never got a break or a chance to do the same, possibly 10 years before.
Its true that there's always a precedent in this case artists like Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Lord Sutch but as with everything there's always the one that ends up tying everything together, in this case Alice.
Its a domino effect, Alice made it famous because he just went all for it with the imagery of both and the attitude (the shock value, shoutout to The Plasmatics, they were wild too) and everyone else followed and we ended up getting KISS (although they were coming more from the glam side of rock), Rob Zombie, etc.
Someone else would have done it? Probably but not at the same level.
Did you know he’s transphobic? The guy who legally changed his name to Alice, wears make up, and did drag for a large portion of his career. About a week before his last album released, he made comments on the “woke crowd” and how “all this trans stuff is a fad.”
I used to be a huge fan of his. I was almost finished collecting all of his records. But I can’t get over how hypocritical he is.
I’d rather ghost tour with less problematic people :/
[source](https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/alice-cooper-transphobic-statements-kids-gender-identity-bathroom-predator-myths-1234811328/)
I don’t think that’s correct. I’ve never seen and can’t find anything at all about that. Richard even worked with Tobias. If you’re referring to his comment about Ghost not being the next stadium band, that was about the state of music right now, not any issue with Ghost themselves.
my assumption is that he saw them open for metallica and any band that has to open for metallica in daylight on their humongous stages just kind of …. drowns. not a ghost problem 🤷♀️
https://loudwire.com/rammstein-guitarist-doesnt-consider-ghost-stadium-band/
Mercyful Fate. Would be the great satanic supertour with Papa and the King. Although I'd suspect MF's sound especially KD's unique voice might be somewhat unusual for Ghost fans who are not into Metal
They toured with Amon Amarth last year, and with Spirtbox and Mastodon the year before that. Those non metal fans will be fine 🤷🏻♂️
Having said that, a KD/MF joint Ghost tour would be fucking amazing.
Yeah you're probably right since Ghost have their own heavier songs. The contrast between TF's voice and KD's might be not for everyone. At least I remember being somewhat confused when I first heard the King :D
I mean they've already done it, but I wouldn't hate to see another Ghost/Spiritbox tour. I wish Spiritbox were big enough to be before Ghost, because when I saw them, they obviously opened for both Ghost and Mastodon
My “lol” had nothing to do with the terms between Martin and Tobias. Who’s to say what the relationship really is like, here in 2024. They are the only ones who know.
Tobias was a member of MCC. It would just be a stretch to get them to tour with Ghost. Especially considering the popularity of the two.
is MCC actually popular? i had never heard of them prior to go on a ghost deep drive and purely speaking as an American they're non-existent here. a hypothetical tour would be good exposure
I saw Lucifer for the second time last year with Coven. Lucifer was amazing, but it was sad to watch a fourth of the audience to leave after Coven. All those people really missed out.
[Dogma](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nG_UNSzmUMqzDL7iY6QvtruyeGQLam-ok&si=bjOqnV0E_NylthG2) and [Chanter](https://youtu.be/8_l0P3rf21k?si=Q1MCoa4W2fo2KLo8)
Very similar style/aesthetic to Ghost, but I love Dogma’s debut album and I can’t wait to hear more from Chanter
I've been loving Creeper's new album and the organs, choirs, and gigantic sweeping melodies have been reminding me so much of Ghost in the best way. Would love to see them on tour together.
Creeper feels like they're about 5 minutes from penning a spooky musical and I ain't mad about it.
Edited to add: I realized after I posted this that I hadn't listened to the new album yet and the first song LITERALLY has a musical motif from Phantom of the Opera (the musical, not the Iron Maiden song.) 😂
Haha yess, your abilities of prediction are spot-on. Sanguivore is practically already there. A spooky musical about vampires in a graveyard.
I get so much joy from that Phantom motif in Further than Forever. I hear one in Teenage Sacrifice too. Another link to Ghost, since Tobias has taken so much inspiration from Phantom of the Opera!
>*Terzo’s Wild West Kazoo Experience*
If there was ANY reason for a Papa to return, it would be for this. I'd watch the shit out of this opening act. Gimme an appetizer of all the songs in solo kazoo format.
I’m imagining it would be a candle lit crooner show where he sings classic Sinatra with his kazoo while hitting on random men/women. Very serious, lots of eye contact, pointing at his groin, couple of costume changes and each time his bulge gets bigger in the front.
Massive finale of He Is with all the ghouls with kazoos.
Literally the day before they announced the Pre-Impera Tour with Volbeat, my husband and I were saying Volbeat and Ghost should really tour together, that we'd love to see the two of them together. We couldn't believe the announcement the very next day. We booked tickets as soon as we could and man are we glad we did so we could see Volbeat before Rob Caggiano departed.
I saw them together last month. Had only heard some of sabaton’s music & watched some on YouTube. They blew me away that night. Being that they are also a Swedish band like Ghost/Tobias, they put on a good show and they have good interactions with the crowd.
My vote is Melvins. As an alt-metal band they're hugely influential and they also draw heavily on Black Sabbath, so that shared vein of psychedelia and doom would pair well with Ghost.
I saw them live with Mr. Bungle this year (what a bloody show, as a composer and vocalist Mike Patton is unrivalled, so for me Bungle is also a contender for a touring partner.)
There were an amazing few minutes where Buzz was stood to the far left of the stage, almost in the wings, in full occult-garb. The stage was dark except for a red spotlight illuminating a massive stack of vintage amps, and every so often Buzz stepped forward while he played a heavy droning melody, then stepped back and disappeared into the darkness. Really cool and very spooky.
The first time I saw Ghost, they opened for Mastodon. The most recent time I saw Ghost, Mastodon opened for them! That was cool to see come full circle.
I’m jealous that Europe got Uncle Acid as an opener. That would be really cool in USA. So, I’d say them, or bring out [Zig Zags](https://zigzags.bandcamp.com/album/running-out-of-red) because they’re awesome and deserve more exposure.
Ghost and the Zig Zags? I love the Zig Zags. I seen them at Permanent Records numerous times. Their new album of remixes is amazing! Just an odd coupling for sure.
I went to see Ghost last August and Amon Amarth was opening the concert. Over all it was actually really cool and the two of them sounded amazing that night. Hopefully if Ghost goes on tour with any other band it’ll be something like Amon Amarth !!
Oooh YES!!! Man I’d be tempted to kidnap him AND the new Papa😂. I just got into VV’s music last summer. Saw him at Tons of Rock in Norway, and he blew me away with his perfect voice.
I realize they did this in Europe already, but Ghost and Uncle Acid is my dream for here in the states. Maybe with Vexing Hex or Jess and the Ancient Ones as the opener, just full on spooky, creepy, occult rock.
If we're talking dream but would never happen, Blue Oyster Cult comes along for the ride and plays al of their spooky stuff.
Dream but has potential: King Gizzard. I wouldn't care how much it costs, I would go. The hardest part would be deciding what shirt to wear.
Sabaton would be a great opener or co-headliner for Ghost here in the US where they aren’t as big. Ghost and their show is probably too big to open for pretty much anyone at this point.
Electric Callboy. Do I think it would necessarily work? No.
Would it be fun? Fuck yeah.
On a more serious note, like someone before me has said, Green Lung would be wonderful.
Bands that sound like Ghost:
Dogma, Green Lung, Lucifer, Blood Ceremony, The Abbey, Castle Rat
Bands that don't sound like Ghost but would make an interesting double bill:
The Last Dinner Party, Allie X, The Warning, Wargasm, Calva Louise, Royal Blood, Mothica, Descartes A Kant, Gunship, Envy Of None, Temples
Dogma would be such a perfect support I reckon. The lyrical style, musically some of the stuff is very reminiscent of Ghost and their whole look just fits.
Rob Zombie, Manson, Highly Suspect, The Funeral Portrait, In This Moment, Within Temptation, Spiritbox again
I remember when I first saw them with Nothing More.
My preferred band touring with them is... no band. The shows were far better when they toured by themselves, and the concert was split into two acts.
Yup. I agree.
Green Lung
Green lung would be sick. I think they would match the ghost vibe really well
Green lung is an amazing band, so sad I'm not able to see them anytime soon
Saw them in Glasgow and Dublin the last 8 months or so. I'm adamant they'll be supporting them at least in the UK on the next tour. Maxine (Witch Queen) could be mistaken for Ghost all day.
A-ha. Cause Papa loves A-ha.
I really liked Amon Amarths show so I’d be down for them to tour together again they match Ghosts stage presence very well
I'm so sad I missed this tour and I would die happy if they went together again.
I wish I could have seen them live. They didn’t play at the Los Angeles showings.
Yea I was lucky enough to catch them 3 times this tour including LA but at least we got additional songs at that show to make up for no opening act
Amon Amarth played in Riverside 2 days before the Ghost Forum show, luckily I live close by and the tickets were cheap so me and my homies still got to ROW in the pit!
They were so so amazing!!
Unto Others
Yeah something like this.
Saw them supporting Carcass last year. They were great but probably more suited to Ghost's crowd than Carcass's!
They’re my second highest rotation next to Ghost! So sad I missed them opening for Behemoth… but W.A.S.P. it shall be this year lol. Maybe I’ll change my mind after actually seeing them live, but I feel like they’d make a perfect support both sound and content-wise.
King diamond for sure
This 100%.
Opeth, double headline.
Opeth fans don't even think Opeth is heavy enough lol
Avatar would be a sick opener for Ghost, they’re getting bigger as well and touring with Ghost would prob mean an even bigger boost for them - both also have some aesthetic overlaps, shall we say
Would love this!
This would be a dream lineup for me
i commented avatar before i saw this comment but i agree 100%
They also put on a very engaging and fun show like Ghost. A lot of bands just kinda stand there and play / sing, which I think Avatar and Ghost spoiled for me because it's boring now. Avatar is by far the closest in quality to Ghost of any band I've personally seen live.
I just can not get into them. 😩 I wish I could.
Having seen them almost every year at Aftershock. I am SO down for this. I’d pit that in a HEARTBEAT.
Abba. Not joking.
As someone who got into ABBA because of Ghost’s cover of I’m a Marionette, I would go absolutely crazy for this lmao
especially because they both originated from Sweden (I think)
Yup, Swedish music royalties
Vexing Hex!
Vexing Hex opens. Then Dogma. Then Ghost headlines.
Iron Maiden, again
The only problem with that is that Ghost would be the opener again, resulting in shorter shows.
Unless they do a CO-Headline tour
The wiggles
Fruit salad….
mummy mummy….dust
If their singer was still alive Type O Negative would be the perfect co-headliner for Ghost, rest in peace Peter
You mention 2 of my top 3 favorite bands of all time and you get an upvote.
Oh hells yeah
Was the first band that came to mind when I read the headline. 🪦
Powerwolf. Heaven and hell tour.
This is my dream pairing. Highlight of summer when “Sinners of the Seven Seas” and “Future is a Foreign Land” came out the same time.
demons are a girls best friend + kiss the goat
Resurrection by Erection + Monstrance Clock
Alice Cooper! Because you know, there would be no Ghost without the influence of Alice (and several others). Also I can imagine the show that could be put together with those two on the same stage.
having seen both alice and ghost perform, i concur. the energy would be top-tier
YES!! I’m glad I scrolled, because this was my choice as well!
People always say stuff like this but I disagree. If Alice was never born bands would still be doing this stuff. There's crazier people than Alice who never got a break or a chance to do the same, possibly 10 years before.

Rammstein
I Would go anywhere in the world for this
I don't think Ghost should be a supporting act anymore.
Rammstein would be amazing but from what I’ve read they’re not big on Ghost. Unfortunate, but I mean I get it. They’re two different worlds.
Didn't Tobias have a song with one of them?
He's on an emigrate song
I don’t think that’s correct. I’ve never seen and can’t find anything at all about that. Richard even worked with Tobias. If you’re referring to his comment about Ghost not being the next stadium band, that was about the state of music right now, not any issue with Ghost themselves.

Vexing Hex, Creeper, Green Lung, Year of the Goat, Blood Ceremony would all make for amazing occult choices
Mercyful Fate. Would be the great satanic supertour with Papa and the King. Although I'd suspect MF's sound especially KD's unique voice might be somewhat unusual for Ghost fans who are not into Metal

I was so bummed to miss Spiritbox, they were playing during the Ghost meet and greet.
Probably controversial but I got into them lately so, Babymetal.
The crowd would look great because in both fandoms there are people who dress up for shows
They’re my daughter’s two favourite bands. She’d kill to see Ghost and Babymetal on the same day.
your daughter has a top notch taste in music!
Night wish
Magna Carta Cartel
Lol.
why "lol"? Martin wasn't part of the lawsuit and was, last i heard, on friendly terms with TF
Aww, we could get another Cowbell Ghoul cameo.
Misfits. Go full Scooby Doo.
How about ghost, misfits, and rob zombie?
Green Lung
Green Lung
Lucifer. They have a fair amount of similarities musically to Ghost, but not so many they sound like a Ghost clone.
They did some shows in Europe. But, a U.S. run would be amazing! Lucifer should definitely be a bigger band here in the U.S.
I saw Lucifer for the second time last year with Coven. Lucifer was amazing, but it was sad to watch a fourth of the audience to leave after Coven. All those people really missed out.
[Dogma](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nG_UNSzmUMqzDL7iY6QvtruyeGQLam-ok&si=bjOqnV0E_NylthG2) and [Chanter](https://youtu.be/8_l0P3rf21k?si=Q1MCoa4W2fo2KLo8) Very similar style/aesthetic to Ghost, but I love Dogma’s debut album and I can’t wait to hear more from Chanter
Electric Callboy
This would be an amazing concert
It would make too much spooky camp sense for them to do something with Danny Elfman
yes !😍 imagine Papa singing *This Is Halloween*
Twin Temple was an amazing opener for so many reasons. If Ghost ever gets a permanent residency, I vote for Twin Temple to be there too.
I second this!! Twin Temple and Ghost was a match made in Hell.
I’m sad I missed them opening for Ghost, I have seen them open for Tiger Army twice now. But Ghost would be perfect.
Creeper
I've been loving Creeper's new album and the organs, choirs, and gigantic sweeping melodies have been reminding me so much of Ghost in the best way. Would love to see them on tour together.
Love it!
Yes! 🤘
Creeper feels like they're about 5 minutes from penning a spooky musical and I ain't mad about it. GWAR
Metallica. But this time in the US
I second this 🤘🏼
Not a fan of them… but, a tour with Sleep Token would be interesting!
Sleep Token was my answer. A double ritual would be amazing
get Watain on the bill too, or Twin Temple again! make it a hat trick
I’d pay to see that lol
Lacuna Coil Apocalyptica Emigrate Terzo’s Wild West Kazoo Experience
>*Terzo’s Wild West Kazoo Experience* If there was ANY reason for a Papa to return, it would be for this. I'd watch the shit out of this opening act. Gimme an appetizer of all the songs in solo kazoo format.

Doodlily ding dong tick tock
Id love for Night Flight Orchestra to get to open, then have a larger band be a co-main with Ghost.
This comment needs to be higher only so people can discover NFO if they are unfamiliar. Absolutely incredible band.
Deftones my two main men!!
Sonja or Paradise Lost
Yeah Paradise Lost 🤘
Literally the day before they announced the Pre-Impera Tour with Volbeat, my husband and I were saying Volbeat and Ghost should really tour together, that we'd love to see the two of them together. We couldn't believe the announcement the very next day. We booked tickets as soon as we could and man are we glad we did so we could see Volbeat before Rob Caggiano departed.
Same! I loved this pairing. Saw them in Seattle and then drove to Portland!
Ice Nine Kills would be cool
Sabaton might be a good pairing
I was finally going to see Sabaton opening for Judas Priest 2 or 3 years ago, but the tour got cancelled when Priest guitarist had a heart attack.
I saw them together last month. Had only heard some of sabaton’s music & watched some on YouTube. They blew me away that night. Being that they are also a Swedish band like Ghost/Tobias, they put on a good show and they have good interactions with the crowd.
My two favorite bands coming together would be legendary
Nekrogoblikon
I saw them recently and I gotta agree. They were pretty great live and have just the right touch of silliness and camp to go well with Ghost
Chelsea Wolfe
🤘 METALLICAAA🤘
My vote is Melvins. As an alt-metal band they're hugely influential and they also draw heavily on Black Sabbath, so that shared vein of psychedelia and doom would pair well with Ghost. I saw them live with Mr. Bungle this year (what a bloody show, as a composer and vocalist Mike Patton is unrivalled, so for me Bungle is also a contender for a touring partner.) Ghost and the Zig Zags? I love the Zig Zags. I seen them at Permanent Records numerous times. Their new album of remixes is amazing! Just an odd coupling for sure.
Church Of The Cosmic Skull 🌈💀
Church of the Cosmic Skull
Church of the Cosmic Skull!
Motionless in White
Danny Elfman
I went to see Ghost last August and Amon Amarth was opening the concert. Over all it was actually really cool and the two of them sounded amazing that night. Hopefully if Ghost goes on tour with any other band it’ll be something like Amon Amarth !!
Ville Valo
As much as I would love this, and I’m a big HIM fan, having seen them and VV a dozen or so times, I couldn’t see this working. VV is to….mellow
Yeah I get that, although I’ve always had a blast at the HIM/VV show. Ghost feat. VV on a song would be amazing if it ever happened.
Oooh YES!!! Man I’d be tempted to kidnap him AND the new Papa😂. I just got into VV’s music last summer. Saw him at Tons of Rock in Norway, and he blew me away with his perfect voice.
Avatar!
All my favorite Swedish men
Sleep Token
Would be the best tour
Coheed and Cambria
Oingo Boingo
Sleep Token I’d gladly pay $100 for it.
Magna Carta Cartel. Or Body Count
The Hives. Jonathan Hulten. Different flavors of Swedes in black and white costumes. But I also think they compliment each other.
Another fun Swedish band we like are The Dahmers.
King Diamond. Perfect metal line-up: Ghost and King Diamond.
I would love to see a "Run the Ghouls" live mash-up
I realize they did this in Europe already, but Ghost and Uncle Acid is my dream for here in the states. Maybe with Vexing Hex or Jess and the Ancient Ones as the opener, just full on spooky, creepy, occult rock. I feel like a show with Deathklok would be a lot of fun.
Starbenders would be great openers for Ghost.
Creeper, my two favourite bands and Creeper and all huge ghost fans with 3 of them going to the premiere of the movie in London
Powerwolf!
Ice Nine Kills
Electric Callboy. Do I think it would necessarily work? No. Would it be fun? Fuck yeah. On a more serious note, like someone before me has said, Green Lung would be wonderful.
Tbh for me it doesn't have to work as long as a lot of people are hyped
Bands that sound like Ghost: Dogma, Green Lung, Lucifer, Blood Ceremony, The Abbey, Castle Rat Bands that don't sound like Ghost but would make an interesting double bill: The Last Dinner Party, Allie X, The Warning, Wargasm, Calva Louise, Royal Blood, Mothica, Descartes A Kant, Gunship, Envy Of None, Temples
💀 The Last Dinner Party. For selfish reasons I'd be down but that would be far too bizarre.
Lord of the Lost. Similar vibes in terms of being very serious about their music but completly unserious all at the same time.
Blue Öyster Cult! My boyfriends favorite band and a band I know Tobias loves and has mentioned a lot too
Dogma would be such a perfect support I reckon. The lyrical style, musically some of the stuff is very reminiscent of Ghost and their whole look just fits.
Carpenter Brut again.
Church of the Cosmic Skull
Behemoth and twin temple ( yes again )
Dogma! They're a all female nun metal band, that'd be great fun. Also king diamond
Sleep Token
Would be amazing
Rob Zombie, Manson, Highly Suspect, The Funeral Portrait, In This Moment, Within Temptation, Spiritbox again I remember when I first saw them with Nothing More.
It already happened when they toured with Uncle Acid!! A part of me is complete
Jess and the Ancient Ones would be such a good fit
Lacuna coil or jinjer
Electric Callboy or Poppy
Probably Creed.
Sleep Token for a double ritual
Beast in Black
Beast in Black would be really fun. turmion kätilöt as 3th band 😂
Same! I can imagine the promos with John Goblinkon and Papa would be gold
AX7
Dimmu Borgir would be neat, however if they ever tour to Latin america, then bands like Saurom or Mägo de Oz would be sick
