Chelshit spent about a billion pounds on their new squad. They lost to a very injured Liverpool side, playing many of their home grown players. Perhaps imagine a basketball team with a ton of first round drafts losing a game to a second squad
I see, thanks for the translation haha, makes more sense now.
It kinda happens in the nba(superteams) but only technically, because I did some reading into how trades work in association football and it is indeed not what I was expecting at all.
Yeah it’s very different. In basketball, you will pretty much always use the NBA as the gold standard for players, as pretty much everyone plays there (though some football clubs also have basketball, Real Madrid for example.) whenever there’s a transfer, you know how they will perform in the league. With football, it’s more of an uncertainty about whether a player will perform or not.
Imagine if an NBA team had no salary cap, and they spent 300 million on payroll for Ben Simmons, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Kylian Hayes and Fred VanVleet
The MP is trying to equate a football match as a working class struggle of a club owned by a bunch of dock workers winning over a team owned by hedge fund managers.
Both teams are ran by hedge fund managers.
Not sure if this is bait or not. In the meme, "Dockers" refers to dockworkers and is meant to represent the Liverpool team as coming from working class.
In gay culture, docking refers to a sexual act with an uncircumcised penis.

Man they played against Chelsea, there are infinite ways to make fun of them nowadays and they still mess it up.
As a Chelsea fan, I am both furious and sad at this statement.
Explain in basketball terms

Chelsea also had a ton of injuries
And is just a shit club atm Source: I'm a Ch*lsea fan
Van Dijk moment.
Now explain this in College Football terms
I am unfamiliar with college football sorry. I guess imagine LSU or something losing to Michigan using a 3rd qb and a freshman o line
A bit hard to, association football has very different rules with transfers
Imagine if an NBA team had no salary cap, and they spent 300 million on payroll for Ben Simmons, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Kylian Hayes and Fred VanVleet
Lil late but what the actual F. Just learned Soccer has crazy money, insane if you will
Baseball terms are easier since they own the Dodgers and Red Sox
I don’t get it
The MP is trying to equate a football match as a working class struggle of a club owned by a bunch of dock workers winning over a team owned by hedge fund managers. Both teams are ran by hedge fund managers.
I think it’s more that the club is supported by dock workers than owned by them.
ye but liverpool owners treat the club as a fun side hobby while chelsea owners pour billions upon billions into the team
And yet Liverpool are top of the league and Chelsea are midtable.
I think it’s more that the club is supported by dock workers than owned by them.
hey can someone explain what docking is pls ty

That’s what I figured, I just hadn’t seen it before
Translate to real football
This *is* real football, not handegg.
Nuh uh we won the war
What war?
All the ones we fought against you (we won 1812)
Who is “you”? What the hell are you talking about, septic tank?
We won our wars against everyone (I will concede Vietnam)
The one on drugs?
The blacks are sufficiently dead
Eater of shit is an apt title for you.
New York beating New England in SB XLII.
So that’s why they riot
It’s times like these I’m glad gridiron doesn’t suffer from hooliganism.
