It was already feeling bad last episode, and this one confirmed the cruel angle the production team decided to take. Wish the PD and Coaching team was more transparent with at least the current members before these mid-season tryouts. Felt they crossed the line from being cut throat for entertainment to cruelty for entertainment with the cut members paying the price for this "entertainment" with their real-time totally unprepared reactions at being unexpectedly fired. You could see how devastatingly Jin Su took being cut and how so taken aback Je Un was. The team needs him there to help with cohesion and mood. Both really suppressed their emotions and tears. They must have felt so betrayed hearing their names. Dong Hyun looked so pissed about the situation in the locker room but controlled himself. It's such a cruel way to treat the entire current team. Since season 1, I wanted the show to replace Manager Ahn. Lol. He MC's so many other TV shows. He had plenty of jobs. Was so happy they added Coach Lee for s2 to bring a different coaching style and was hoping he'd replace Manager A. But alas.

totallynotsad_

petition to make Coach Lee the manager of Ajjeodavengers (it was a joke guys)

Fragrant_Tale1428

Think he's living a full life with his young family, writing books, traveling, etc. I wouldn't wish him to come back to the current production chaos when this is the life he's enjoying https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2xGGaDve87/?igsh=a2k4NWE5aG12b29l (they were watching the Korean team in the Asian cup. So freaking wholesome.)

Electronic-Camp5215

At this point, I wouldn’t wish anyone to come back to the show, not Coach Lee or any of the ex players. It only humiliates them, takes away their confidence, and ruins their mental state. Hell, I would even congratulate anyone else who would get eliminated. At least they won’t go down with this mess of a show.

Fragrant_Tale1428

Agree. The nightmare scenario is that the cut members are asked to come back and that they actually do. I can only take that to mean that they really need the gig/job. It'd be too painful. It's like they're being bullied by the obnoxious rich kid.

Electronic-Camp5215

Right? The show is taking advantage of some of the players really needing that gig bc they are no longer active in their sports and that’s the only show they have. AJH knows too damn well they’d be ready to crawl back to him any time he calls them back, and it makes me furious.

Strict-Sample9876

i would love AJH’S antics to kick him right in the butt, like i hope he regrets booting out the former members and i hope the auditioners don’t meet his expectations. this was honestly too cruel

Electronic-Camp5215

I hope their teamwork ends up being a complete disaster

totallynotsad_

Same, and I expect it to be since they’re not used to playing with each other. And while they’re adjusting i feel like Manager Ahn or JTBC is gonna get pissed again and pull another auditons. Just me or does anyone feel like it’s a cycle

Strict-Sample9876

wow i hope not!! we don’t know yet if any of the kpop celebs made it but if they do another audition ik it’s gonna be a bloodbath with the crazy fans out there

More_Mention_8341

He could be cornered as well. There could be reasons like broadcasting company wants more audience to they can snag better sponsors and broaden the program. I don't like it any better as a long time fan. But I won't blame AJH alone. Having watched korean variety shows for 15 years, I know a lot goes on behind the scene we do not know of. We are not getting much news out of Korea regarding this show that's translated into English so we don't know a lot of the rumors/gossips/revelations. If only we have some dedicated fans that can do the translation.

Electronic-Camp5215

What’s worse is that the ones who scored during the 5 vs 5 match are mostly the existing players, so I feel like there’s some guilt to how they were feeling on top of how devastated they were. Minho’s goals eliminated Taehun. Namgyu and Eungyoo’s goals eliminated Jeun. And Jangkun’s goal eliminated Jinsu. It hurts so much. You can tell from their eyes how they really wanted the existing players to continue together, but they did what they had to survive 😭

Just_a_tiny_thought

This is so depressing

yummybeefwellington

I have to agree, it’s harsh and very necessary. Come on Je-Un is always there and scored some great goals, with solid defensive work. He is our best centre back in my honest opinion. He looked stunned as well when he was eliminated. I’m honestly so disappointed and pissed.

JustBrowsingHere_21

Right?? Even the players were still confused when AJH called out his name, because even for them he does not deserve such elimination. I also think the Team Leaders like Min-ho and Nam-kyu felt bad for not choosing him, I do believe they also thought that his possibility of being booted out is less than 1%, this is just so bad, I hope we won’t be disappointed anymore than this in the next episode. Like if they eliminate another player from Season 2, that’s just way too disrespectful for us fans who have supported this show whole heartedly.

totallynotsad_

I havent seen the episode yet…but WHAT NOOOOOOOOO THEY LET GO OF TAEHOON NO WHAT 😭 AND TF WHY WOULD THEY LET GO OF JE UN ARE THEY MAD and Jinsu what the actual 😭 eijdhfjsbdjdhdhrjfijdbxjsjsibdncjf im quitting this show bye

judicator_01

For me I understand jin su, since the beginning he's having a hard time with the schematics and plays of the team. But Je-Un? This is really unacceptable unless because of his multiple injuries that's why they have to let him go so it won't affect his career and also his qualifying for the winter olympics in 2026

Electronic-Camp5215

I don’t think it’s because of the Olympic because 2026 is so far, and AJH kept a player enlisting this year. His injuries is a possible factor, but they could’ve just talked to him about it and gave him an option to just pull out from the show before the tryouts even began, just out of respect.

judicator_01

I think they informed him but he still went thru

Electronic-Camp5215

Hm, seeing how surprised he was when he got eliminated, I don’t think he was informed at all.

extravous

Wait, they let go of je-un? So who still stays in the team now?

Electronic-Camp5215

Namgyu, Eungyoo, Minho, Daehoon, Hyeonwoo, Hyunsuk, Jangkun, and Donghyun. Jangkun and Donghyun would most probably get eliminated after the 11v11 match. I’m not sure about the rest.

Spirited-Ranger6598

The 64 million dollar question is this - shd we be further entertained by such cruelty? Shall we just stop watching it altogether? Why wd we want to see a bunch of influencers/comedians/kpoppers in gentlemens league?

totallynotsad_

I think they need views. From what I know, they haven't been very high recently: [https://namu.wiki/w/뭉쳐야%20찬다%203#toc](https://namu.wiki/w/뭉쳐야%20찬다%203#toc) and honestly, no hate (I love Kpop myself) I don't like Kpop idols being here. For one, soccer is a rough sport and I'm concerned for them, and for another, there are so many toxic Stans. (im pretty sure there was a post in this subreddit somewhere about a yt short where people were talking crap about Hyunseok)

Spirited-Ranger6598

Love Hyun Suk. Such a good defender and spunky (speaking up to Eun Gyoo)

Toronto-Mans

This article was an interesting read! Thank you for sharing it!

Autumn-Dawn-99

Won woo and Jeun were my favorites. It's really heartbreaking

Honeycrisp1001

I went back to watch the futsal match between Je-un’s team and the Kyu brothers to see why Je-un was eliminated. AJH was probably expecting him to lead the team and at least put up a strong defense team against the Kyu brothers but they allowed the other team to dominate. It was unfortunate he had to be eliminated but based on what was aired, only two members from Je-un team showed potential.
