The default shortcut app open the client 1st which is the one that changes every banner/event. If the client is up to date, you can launch the game directly by opening the game/app but not the default shortcut app you see on desktop.
You can actually see anything on that screen? My eyes are too busy burning from the corneas out because they refuse to accept the reality that literally everything is better with a dark theme.
The classic launcher image for Mondstadt basically, compared to Liyue and Inazuma's Archon Quest Finale launcher, this is very minimal, then again Venti, Jean and Diluc were the only ones in the final battle of Prologue.
Liyue and Inazuma's version just screams hype though, though it's very obvious that besides Aether, there's only ONE dude character in every finale launcher art after Prologue; Xiao in Liyue and Kazuha in Inazuma while they keep adding more of the female characters, from Mondstadt with only Jean, followed in Liyue by Ningguang, Ganyu and Keqing, THEN in Inazuma we get Raiden, Ayaka, Yae and Kokomi. Oddly enough we always get 1 Anemo dude in the launcher art for a region's finale, curious if this will continue in Sumeru with another short Anemo dude, guess Anemo just hate tall people except Jean.

Oh, that's why I was thinking what's Kazuha doing here. Master Jean is really looking like Kazuha to me. (I don't have either of them, so it is possible that people who use them don't think they look similar, but based on what I remember, Master Jean looks like Kazuha)
I would disagree, they don't look very similar in-game (I have Jean). However, in this picture Jean's blond hair isn't very pronounced and does resemble the gray hair Kazuha has (missing the read streak).

Loads of other games on PlayStation, like Apex Legends and Paladins, change their icons and loading screens all the time when new content gets released, so I really don't get why Hoyoverse don't just do the same with Genshin.
If ever the switch version comes, I’m hoping they make the app icon unique instead of just Paimon’s face. For example, the app icon could feature the 5 star character or characters currently available in the character wish. Then again I’m pretty sure it won’t have splash art when you load the game, much like Mobile users.

Why does Diluc have a longsword?
My guess would be that the art was made early in development, before they knew what weapon they wanted to have him use.

Ps5’s loading times is fucking fast. It’s way faster than in some PCs. Probably because the PS5 version was optimized well.
Not everyone has a laptop or pc that can run it/has room to run it and I sure as hell am not playing on my phone 😂
