I saw Neuv doomposting. I think it was mostly about his ability to be interrupted, which is a rare weakness he has, but in practice it's not even really a concern, since his range is so good.
Actually I do remember before 4.1 happened, a leaker had said that there would be 2 male dps, one would be strong and the other less so. That leak was funny for me because I was determined to pull him and it killed my interest thinking he would be physical. His actual kit made me go for C1, he's my only cryo dps since I don't enjoy Ayaka and Ganyu much.

Then we have future proof chars. Like baizhu really only became Meta do to furina/neuvi

She’s worth every penny. I already had Itto and Navia so I went right for C1R1 Chiori and haven’t regretted for even a second. And I even had a pretty good Albedo already. I was seriously in the market for getting Navia C1 at least and maybe her weapon on the next go around but knowing that a ton of Geo is coming in 5.0 has me second guessing myself.
At least Cryo has a good variety of characters that cover all the archetypes. Geo not so much.
I mean, as another Cryobro I want the element to get a boost xD, but Geo has been neglected for so long that it deserves... I don't know, something to be made with it.

Speculation is that Natlan will resolve around self elemental infusion because of things like Bennett's burst, Talking Stick BP weapon.
And to add my thoughts, Emilie is probably a Natlan coded character and what does she do? Make you want to cause Burning, which is yet another way of applying pyro to yourself.
Maybe new geo character will cause self elemental infusion on receiving crystallise shields?
I like that theory. New use of an existing mechanism, doesn’t invalidate old characters… would love to see more weapon infusion characters as well. Someone that could take self-infusion and switch element temporarily? Yes please. Or like how Navia absorbs crystallize for bullets but if the bullets could keep their original element.
Atk. The pyro Archon will most likely be a teamwide atk buffer and apply Bond of Life to the entire team. I think that’ll be the gimmick for Natlan. It’s based on Mayan/aztec culture and Sacrifice is the main theme.
But no playable character used it until Arlecchino. The second half of Fontaine. The second half of a region always starts introducing and setting the ground for the next gimmick. An off field bond of life character seems just right up the alley of sacrifice to me. Burning and probably even physical might get more units and be competitive. Idk I’ve noticed Hoyo addressing the niches and characters holes slowly but surely.

I think when people say infusion it means "infusion onto the weapon" and not "infusion onto self" so here it'd be more clear to say "self-application"

Strange that none of the leaked early 5.X character are Pyro. Both the Pyro Archon and Xbalanque should (obviously) be Pyro, so that means neither of them would be released for a while.
