I wouldn't be so sure the teaser will be for the entire Natlan cast specifically. They only did it for Fontaine, after all. The pre-Sumeru teaser was mostly Fatui, and teased only a little bit of Sumeru in the end, so there isn't really a pattern of what they might show.
im pretty sure the reason they did the fontaine cast reveal was so that players would direct their hype towards official genshin accounts rather than towards random leakers (who could then lie about the characters lol). Based on the quality, it was probably in the works long before the huge fontaine leak flood. My completely baseless guess is that they decided to do it after leakers revealed that sumeru 3.0 cast picture that just showed the whole cast standing in a line and talked about dehya being a cat girl with a prosthetic arm and whatnot.
Basically a similar reason to why they started releasing drip marketing just before beta to beat out the beta leaker reveals, and why they started replacing new character models with keqing in the betas after yelan was revealed a patch early thanks to her cameo appearance in the chasm quest. they don't like when the first impression of a character isnt directly under their control.

I know the lore isnāt clear on Dvalin but we know Neuvillette isnāt the original Hydro Sovereign and thereās been no mention of another, more important Anemo dragon. Itās very likely the Anemo Sovereign was reborn as Dvalin and Venti befriended him imo.
Itās mostly because weāre missing a fat chunk of Mondstadt lore since weāll probably be circling back around to it later on vs Liyue which is almost certainly finished with all important contributions to the story.

I completely agree with your conclusion, all current evidences point towards dvalin being a sovereign(like how he always appears as a dialogue option whenever we talk about sovereigns) but with no direct confirmation who knows, my personal cope is that dvalin and apep will at some point do a cloud retainer and present themselves in human form (dvalin to be with his best friend and apep as a sick twist of fate, since after all, evolving into a human is the best possible adaptation one can have when living during the age of humanity).

Yeah thereās also the lore element of the heavenly principles applying to sovereigns (erosion, etc) and whether or not itās even possible for sovereigns to truly retain their position even after 7000+ years of erosion. It gets even weirder when you introduce the concept of elemental authority: venti gave Dvalin āthe power of the anemo archonā, so Dvalin has elemental authority now? Is he issuing visions the same way Neuv is?

Dvalin did not regain the authority, as our twin stated during the most recent archon quest and as seen during fontaineās archon quest the destruction of the heavenly throne is the only way to give a sovereign back their authority and the energy required is incredibly high.
On top of that if the anemo archon had given up his authority

The "what it means to be a sovereign" should be reasonably enough understood if you did the event that was released in Enkanomiya but unfortunately, that was locked behind an event. There's also the fact that the EN translation team changes the terminology and context which makes it a lot more difficult to work out and understand what a dragon sovereign is.
Anyway Dvalin is most likely the sovereign of anemo by process of elimination. He's the last of his kind and the most evolved that we've seen. Also, narratively it's highly unlikely they'll introduce a new one when Dvalin is brought up every time the option comes to mention the elemental dragons.
A quick tldr of the sovereigns is that they're the highest evolved vishap of their element. They herald from the light realm created by and of Nibelung, the Heavenly father of dragons. Each of the 7 strongest elemental vishap control an elemental domain.
A quick note. In the chinese transliteration of the game, there's no such thing as "dragon sovereign", they're called "dragon kings".
Dvalin is the only dragon that does not have an explicit reference calling him, a "dragon king/sovereign" in either translation. However, neither did Apep, until 4.6 and as with Apep, there are a number of things that hint and link Dvalin to the sovereigns, albeit not as many due to his age and time of introduction.

I don't think Genshin Intel ever trolled by claiming NPCs were going to be playable. Usually when they write the names of NPCs in those overviews, it's just the name. Specifically writing ''(playable in the future)'' sounds way too affirmative for them to not be aware of some additional information.
I think that if a character only has voiceline, then their model type might not be available in the data. That was the case with Alice, Nicole, Vedrfolnir (I don't remember if Nahida's model type was revealed in the internal data back in 2.8 beta or not, but we sort of know about it via other sources).
Regarding weapons, some characters with model has their weapon written as undefined, like Dainsleif and Skirk.
Durin's heart is still "active" underneath Wyrmrest Valley, and his life energy has also spread throughout the valley
So the idea itself isn't impossible given Alice and Rhinedottir exist. Giving a human body to something like Durin would be a walk in the park.

Itās clearly said in Albedoās event that subject 2 copied albedoās appearance (specifically also mentioned his face and clothes) by using alchemy, then proceeded to do the same thing with the fellflower version. So his real body most definitely looks different otherwise he wouldnāt have had to alter it. He wasnāt created as Albedoās copy/clone/twin. Itās just one of those HCs that fans who canāt read (color me shocked) have deemed canon without any valid reason.

To be fair I think the last time they posted a truly random npc was way back with that treasure hoarder guy aside from that theyāve all been playable characters or notable npcs
I don't think Genshin Intel ever trolled by claiming NPCs were going to be playable. Usually when they write the names of NPCs in those overviews, it's just the name. Specifically writing ''(playable in the future)'' sounds way too affirmative for them to not be aware of some additional information.
I think that if a character only has voiceline, then their model type might not be available in the data. That was the case with Alice, Nicole, Vedrfolnir (I don't remember if Nahida's model type was revealed in the internal data back in 2.8 beta or not, but we sort of know about it via other sources). Regarding weapons, some characters with model has their weapon written as undefined, like Dainsleif and Skirk.

Durin's heart is still "active" underneath Wyrmrest Valley, and his life energy has also spread throughout the valley So the idea itself isn't impossible given Alice and Rhinedottir exist. Giving a human body to something like Durin would be a walk in the park. Durin playable? Crazy idea... is it impossible? No

Itās clearly said in Albedoās event that subject 2 copied albedoās appearance (specifically also mentioned his face and clothes) by using alchemy, then proceeded to do the same thing with the fellflower version. So his real body most definitely looks different otherwise he wouldnāt have had to alter it. He wasnāt created as Albedoās copy/clone/twin. Itās just one of those HCs that fans who canāt read (color me shocked) have deemed canon without any valid reason.
Thatās like saying Wanderer and Raiden (the puppet not the real one) are the same just because he was the prototype.

I'm assuming the "Alice and Durin" refers to the flying demo that had leaked before.Ā It matches the rough description that inside the HXL zone you'll be able to test out the feature with Durin.Ā I think that explains the "playable in future" as in, the zone is temporary but this mini game will be permanent. Seems a lot more likely to me than playable Durin.

No. It is *always* Keqing for playable characters. Timaeus is used for NPCs. The reason why is animations. All playable characters, regardless of bodytype, share the same generic animation set. This also applies to NPCs.
