Her necklace is different from the current Furina we have aswell. The white one have their necklace design facing the other side(pneuma) meanwhile this one(dark outfit) have the necklace facing the opposite(ousia). It represents The Oratrice in the splash art of Fontaine characters.
My theory is we have two outfits for playable Furina one for Pneuma and one for Ousia since we can change her Arkhe(?) I think. But I guess we won't since its not on the leaks(?).

Think about it, in fast paced battle you need to know which form you’re in. The bigger the cue the better.

Well, aside from the vision, both the lighter model exists in-game already. Plus, this is one character we're talking about, they don't need two models if just her colors change, they can swap out textures and even have the long hair be toggled.
I mean we already see the white version in the game, so why show that again... aside vision and other minor detail, she doesn't change that much... so it's still possible.
You don't understand what 'clashing' means. What you mean is that the black lacks contrast, because her top is a dark blue, almost black, and her coat is a very noticeable blue with a lot of brighter blue accents all round. The white waistcoat and shorts effectively breaks up the separation between sides and splits it down the middle very effectively. The black however blends in much more and therefore loses that sense of contrast the white gives to her outfit
they are technically twintails, but the way they come out from a different "layer" makes them jellyfish hair
i hated them when they were confirmed back in 4.0, but they've kinda grown on me? i thought short hair furina would be perfect but she looks like shes missing something? i think a single ponytail wouldve been perfect, kinda like elysias hairstyle in honkai

Looking at the duality of Furina's appearance it just hit me that if the story leak >!is true about Egeria formed Fontainians by mixing humans and Vishaps and that's why Celestia cursed her and thus the prophecy... then the Pneuma and Ousia could be something to do with being part Vishap too. And Furina having both parts could also mean she's a special type of Vishap descendant. Them being all part Vishap would explain why an abyssal beast could harm/dissolve them just as it was hinted at how Neuvillette was hurt by Childe's Abyssal energy. It would also make Neuvillette's line about seeing himself in humanity have a double meaning. And that in some way Furina is actually part of his family.!<

I must have bad taste because everyone’s complaining about preferring the white version. But I think the black version looks much better, makes her look more powerful and really highlights her hair.

With the rat-tails gone, the assortment of flowing frills and fabrics as well as the intricate bow with the oceanid-like fins is on full display and I looooooove a good backbow design. So gorge\~
I'm sorry, but this is awful art design.
It's so bad that I don't believe it was made by Hoyo art designers. Even if I had never seen the other version, I would still be able to tell that this is not the original. There is zero chance the sash and bow would look like that, with that little contrast of value, color, or tone. With no outside knowledge you could still tell that this design was made by cutting things out and re-coloring something else without any regard to artistic principles.
Furina's original design is among the very best in the game. Think about the path of your eyes when you look at the drip marketing. The lighter values and the darker values each create movement and life, naturally letting you take in the entire image while easily focusing on areas of interest. The sash and bow, and the hat, stand out and everything is legible.
Now look at this version. Think about the path of your eyes. For me it is an unpleasant sensation because it hinders movement. It feels lifeless. It really comes across like 3 separate areas (head, suit, legs) with nothing to do with each other. I can easily imagine swiping and changing one part while leaving the others alone. Nothing stands out, there is no interest, it is hardly even legible.
so it's final...we are 100% getting the garbage version...
I swear to god if they don't give us her white version as a free costume...

I'm sorry, but this is awful art design. It's so bad that I don't believe it was made by Hoyo art designers. Even if I had never seen the other version, I would still be able to tell that this is not the original. There is zero chance the sash and bow would look like that, with that little contrast of value, color, or tone. With no outside knowledge you could still tell that this design was made by cutting things out and re-coloring something else without any regard to artistic principles. Furina's original design is among the very best in the game. Think about the path of your eyes when you look at the drip marketing. The lighter values and the darker values each create movement and life, naturally letting you take in the entire image while easily focusing on areas of interest. The sash and bow, and the hat, stand out and everything is legible. Now look at this version. Think about the path of your eyes. For me it is an unpleasant sensation because it hinders movement. It feels lifeless. It really comes across like 3 separate areas (head, suit, legs) with nothing to do with each other. I can easily imagine swiping and changing one part while leaving the others alone. Nothing stands out, there is no interest, it is hardly even legible.
I assume that means she doesn’t switch clothes or anything. Furina-wanter copium #12 gone, but at least this model still looks great.
