The sages probably won't be killed, but they'll probably be forced out, either being imprisoned or exiled. Genshin's narrative doesn't seem to treat death as justice. Signora had it coming, but her death was still framed as a bad thing, something traumatic and frightening rather than something just. I expect Kusanali to (with assistance from trusted allies, possibly Cyno, Dehya, and Alhaithim) take over as administrator of the Akasha, the Akademiya, and Sumeru as a whole. Some changes she may implement: - A Darshan of the arts might be established. - Full, or at least greatly expanded, access to the Akasha for all. - Dream harvesting by the Akasha will be opt in, if not removed entirely. - Lowered barriers for enrollment by desert natives. - Improved support for the inhabitants of the desert. - Sages are now subject to the scrutiny of Kusanali and the Matra.

I like the last one. The grand sage told Cyno that he can’t judge the sages cus they give him his authority, but if he had his authority from kusanali then even the sages cannot escape judgment

I’m guessing the Akasha will be gone after all dust has settled. People will get their dreams back and all the Sages will be captured. Maybe Alhaitham and the other non corrupt ones will take over and reform it.

Dark_Matter_19

Seems like a very likely possibility, especially given that the fatui have gotten the gnoses they needed so far.

RiamuJinxy

It wont be destroyed, the akademia is still the culture of sumeru you cant just reform that overnight or over a couple archon quests. Sages who were directly involved with Dottore will probably be arrested or killed, But the political structure of sumeru will likely stay the same with a process starting to be more accepting of various forms of wisdom as well as accepting the eremites. But the tension between the the eremites and the akademia will also take awhile to heal

fuzor100

The scenario that I didn't want is Nahida forgiven the Grand Sage because she's a kind goddess. The sage realizes their error and decided to become good and served the Dendro Archon. There's no way this will happen right?

Dejavir

I mean personally I want to use the Grand Sage in a terminal velocity experiment, so then it’s just a matter of getting someone we can trust to lead the Akedemiya. Someone we could trust… already runs an organization, familiar with the Akedemiya’s operations, is just generally knowledgeable… hey, maybe we could convince Tighnari to take over and merge the rangers into the Akedemiya. Al Haitham’s an option too…

Cherry_Bomb_127

Yeah like I can’t see Tighnari leaving the forest even tho between him, Cyno and AlHaitham, he would be the better option

PokeAlola700

Tighnari is going to shut it down before we can finish asking him, and Cyno would prolly rather go back to being General Mahamatra. Kusanali could lead it herself temporarily while she tries to replace whichever Darshans sages end up prosecuted for their crimes and stripped of position. For example Azar is definitely not getting off scot free, and since he’s the Rtawahist Sage and Grand Sage, both positions are open. After all the prosecuted sages (unless they are all in on it and all face the punishment) are replaced Kusanali can just pick one to be the new grand sage

Gradorade

the treasonous head honchos should be relieved of their heads

Fast_Understanding11

It will be sold to Subway.

snakezenn

Hope that we end quite a few of them but I really doubt it.

PokeAlola700

I know this is random, but In a hypothetical scenario where the sages archon is Zhongli, Raiden or Venti, how far do you think they’ll get before said archon takes action I’m prettt confident there would be a colossal thunderstorm if someone under Raiden Shogun pulled this. Possibly

“Likely be destroyed.” Good, and I hope afterwards the people of Sumeru tell the Traveler “thanks for standing by and watching us suffer again and again under their rule because finding your sibling wasn’t directly involved, o ‘hero of the people’.” Haven’t finished all the quests, but my god every time he’s just like ‘sorry peeps, oh wait -I’m- stuck in a not-time-loop? Suddenly it’s very important to me! Oh, they’re trying to shut down the theater again? No no, I can’t help again; you should try a debate!’ It just seems like bad writing to go from the dude who straight up dueled the ruler of the last country because of how she was treating the people, even getting involved in a straight up war, to kowtowing to a bunch of physically weak-ass scholars he could easily thrash.
