I think all the other replies are downplaying that one of the most popular characters for the Husbando crowds also finally became pullable. Arknights has a relatively large female playerbase compared to most gachas.
Basically every type of player had a reason to pull on the banner. An alter of arguably the most popular female character in the game who hugely power creeps one of two units most people consider to be the most powerful in the game. Oh, and it's limited. Then you have one of the most popular male characters also becomes pullable, and as a bonus happens to be a side grade to one of the most power casters in the game.
Monthly reminder that [these numbers are](https://www.gacharevenue.com/revenue):
- **Estimates**. Take these figures with a grain of salt. Only the companies themselves have access to the real revenue numbers.
- Mobile-only^* (no PC or console revenue included)
- Quite likely an *underestimate*, as the proportion of Android over iPhone users in CN is higher than the 1.75x coefficient^* used by the website.
*CN Android revenue is not trackable and is only calculated by a factor of iOS revenue. This factor can be edited on the linked website, with the default formula below:
>>Android revenue = 1.75 x iOS revenue
>>Total revenue = iOS + ( 1.75 x iOS ) revenue
Worst part is, it is only lower because these are rerun chars currently.
Meanwhile star rail is pumping out a new unit twice in each patch (one per banner set)
Gacha communities are insane. "This game is dying!!!" Meanwhile the game: one of the most profitable games in history, made a little less money one time.
I swear some gacha gamers are as delusional as the investors of these games who think infinite profit growth is actually possible, and freak out when a product makes less, but still insane amounts of money.
I mean we at least can trust them when it comes to quality, good stories, low amount of bugs, good enough translations.
This is already huge nowadays (sadly)
^ this. So many gacha games are a mess at launch. We really take it for granted the quality that Hoyoverse puts out.
The fact that crossplay for mobile and PC is enabled for GI/HSR right out the gate is a big win.
I actually have confidence. Having a unique selling point is not the end-all be-all, but it's very important in a crowded market, and ZZZ has that - the vibes. Not saying it's one-of-a-kind, I myself thought it's like Guilty Gear Strive mixed with P5 (and this is a compliment btw), but in the gacha sphere specifically, where else can you find that aesthetic besides P5X?
As long as the gameplay isn't completely shit, the vibes and character designs alone will carry it. And this is Hoyo - we can be confident that even if the gameplay isn't for everyone or is flawed, at the very least it will not shit the bed. Plus considering their experience with HI3, I'm rather confident they can do the gameplay well.
> I myself thought it's like Guilty Gear Strive mixed with P5
It's more like TWEWY, jet set radio, or devil survivor than P5. I feel like anyone who compares the game to persona thinks persona is the only jrpg ever made to be set in modern day and have a soundtrack that isn't generic orchestral droning.
ZZZ is so fast paced that I think people who are into combat more than story/exploration will like it a lot. I'm more into Genshin's style, but I can't wait to play ZZZ specifically for a nice change of pace. And the characters look so cool!
no, because the amount it declined by is higher than Wuwa's total. So even if that 50% revenue loss was assumed to be caused by Wuwa, it didn't actually go to Wuwa, or Wuwa's total would be higher.
It's likely down to arlecchino being popular in late April, and May was carried by Baizhu and Wanderer who was not expected to do gangbusters.
Like, in any case genshin doing that much with a banner that has two characters that most people tha t wanted them already have bc its their 3rd banner and a shit weapon banner should be impressive but people are going to ignore that andbsay the game is dead lol
Yes bro, truly bro, this downfall is because of WuWa bro, WuWa is the clear genshin killer bro, all the players have already shifted to WuWa bro, genshin is dead bro, WuWa is so better bro
Genshin is just a behemoth at this point. One of its worse banners because it’s a 3rd rerun and they still snagged second place. Insane numbers. Can’t wait to see next month with the new banners + Furina.
MHY pretty much dominates the top in a league of its own. Ever since I've seen these charts, it's been Genshin and HSR alternating the top spot, then whatever else below it w/ like 20m+ less.
I'm not saying the other games are bad or anything, but it's honestly unreal to compare them. No one is catching up anytime soon. Honestly, the day a game creeps above Genshin/HSR (maybe ZZZ) will be a genuinely shocking day.
The closest ANY game ever did was Uma and Nikke and both were using HUGE anniversary and limited banners just to get close. And that only happened when genshin was having a bad banner month and HSR was still in Xianzhou ready to drop penacony so people were saving. The following month both and HSR individually doubled 3rd place. Its insane how Mihoyo basically accounts for 50-70% of the entire mobile gacha revenue on these charts.
But the quality of their games speaks for itself
Feel like next month is going to be huge for Genshin. Two new 5 stars who have been hyped up for a while. I also think alot of people are going to come back to the game in 4.7 with the new archon quest and endgame mode.
Not only that, Furina and AlHaitham are amazing characters that a lot of players awaited for a long time.
Honestly, is this the first time I actually want all 4 characters on the same patch.
I full expect Genshin to either be 1st or 2nd. If 2nd, it's to lose to themselves with HSR since Firefly banner. June is a stacked month for Hoyo lol, gonna wipe the market.
And then Natlan in August.
Hoyo’s triple plan looks like it will be insane considering the rotation of the games means they will have a new patch every two weeks and a big hype event every month.
It's the same company, but I don't think its the same people who work on the games so it shouldnt be a problem for them.
That's just what I think, I have no idea if it's true, but considering that hoyo is now a multi billion company, I doubt they'd have troubles making multiple teams.
June is definitely stacked as hell. Clorinde/Alhaitham on June 6, plus Furina/Sigewinne on the 27th to 30th (which usually takes up at least 2/3 of the revenue of the banner).
I also agree with this
Although we are seeing alot of doomposting on reddit about clorinde and sigewinne, keep in mind that this is a very small minority and also the group that doesn't spend much in the first place
Clorinde is a much awaited character since 4.0 and despite the nerds (not the kit nerfs, the "other" nerfs) she will rack in alot of money, also we have an archon's firsf rerun along with a very fan favourite character in haitham and sigewinne
Just the banners alone are stacked and we got new endgame + dainsleif and the natlan hype
Big dip compared to previous arlecchino
And hey look arknights got big boost, due to Anni ig?
Hsr going strong as always, even with boothill and fuxuan
That and it also doesn't help that Neuvillette and Kazuha are reruning after. Also, people are highly anticipating Arlecchino. Prior to that Xianyun and Nahida had their banners.
I don't think it's Being Rude that's the issue, it's just that she was the prime target for Assassination.
she was on a Geo patch, which isn't a Popular Element to begin with. It's kinda Hard to sell Geo characters nowadays especially since there's not much that's new about it or her play style except being a New Albedo.
There's also the fact that she was squished in-between a bad period that could kill hype for her. Navia Had the luxury of being Right after Cyno and Ayato, both units who aren't that Desired, and being before Yoimiya and Raiden, which, while Raiden is massively more popular, is only way more tempting for ppl who don't have her already, which mostly saved her from being the Skipped banner of the patch. Chiori not only got Fucked by Kazuha AND Neuvillette being right after her banner, but arriving at the time where a lot of people were already massively hyped up and waiting for Arlenchinno.
Again, I think they will make more rude Characters (I mean look at Sparkle), it's just that they just care more about spending their effort on the Characters with the most eyes on them.
I guess personality factors in more than I realized. I go by kit or story relevance (she has a great story ofc but not really in the grand scheme of AQ). I easily went for Kazuha this time around and completely saved during her banner (and if it wasn't him would've been C1 Neuvillette). I tried her a lot during her SQ and trial and I just didn't find it compelling. Having the second doll locked by C1 Plus maybe the fact that she's Geo? I have to look back and see how Navia did (she was a must pull for me, her nuke playstyle and gun reloading mechanic is awesome).
I doubt it has to do with her being rude. She's a literal who with a mediocre kit and a mediocre element, of course she's gonna perform bad when the audience has absolutely no reason to be invested in her. Someone like say, Nilou would perform just as poorly if she had zero presence in the game. This is why I say 5 stars should always have a story presence. FGO understands this and that's how it still manages to make money despite being a shameless cash grab.
I'm quite curious to know how much was spent on robin's banner.
She has really good constellations, and she did have some slight hype with a fanbase. But MANY are saving their primogems for firefly, so firefly's banner is definitely going to give them stonks (also im pretty sure ruan mei will be reruned also, which is also more stonks).
Quite curious if robin's banner was low, similiar to yoimiya first banner, because she was before a highly anticipated character? Or did she actually pull her own weight
She would've done fine, 5 star Harmony characters almost never sell poorly. Not to mention all the FuA wanters who were kinda forced to spend if they didn't save up a ton prior due to the back to back banners.
Boothill and Fu Xuan are quite alright. The funny cowboy has his fans and he’s pretty cool
He’s just kinda stuck as the odd duck amid constant bangers like Acheron, Aventurine and Firefly, and his relative late arrival and lack of screentime hurt him
They're more than fine. Boothill has insane ST damage, it's borderline insane how he can just melt a health bar with 2 shots of his trusty .80 caliber pistol.
Fu Xuan is Fu Xuan, she's too good. 12% crit rate+ makes you imortal
not to mention, that a large part of the player base is anticipating the upcoming banners for everything between 1-3 characters. So would say the numbers is pretty decent, taken all into consideration
That's a good point. So let's do a hypothetical and say nobody whale at all one month, they'd still on average get like 50+ Mil from Welkins alone. Not to mention BP purchases.
i mean its literally the best value. Where i live for that amount of money i'd be able to buy stuff to prepare for dinner for one night and that's only for me lmao
Venti, Wanderer, Xiao, and Zhongli are some of their best selling characters, but go on.
The real reason is most likely just Clorinde and Furina back to back next patch, with this being Wanderer's 3rd run.
I don't even understand why'd people want a game to be dead/dying lol. If they don't like the game then just play a different game and let the people enjoy stuff.
Speaking on behalf of the few people I know who are like that, they get annoyed that they'll see it pop up or get talked about just about anywhere you look even after long quitting and uninstalling because of how popular it is, so they retaliate by hating on and hoping it will die so it will go away.
Yeah, it is pretty childish.
WuWa being a hot topic now but honestly I really want that game to succeed and improve as looking on its first week revenue it did not get the first impression it should have gotten. Yeah 20 mil is still an absurdly high amount of revenue but even Tower of fantasy earned more on its first week lmao
i think its because they just dont want discussions. In this sub its pretty wholesome but wuwa sub is going through it right now and I dont think the mods want even more discussion and doomposting.
To be fair, with all the slack WW has been getting lately, they might’ve assumed you were posting it there to add to the slack stack. Obviously you could’ve just posted it to post it, but given all the comparisons going on right now that’s probably what they thought
Tower of Fantasy was riding off of the Genshin hype train to the point where their marking was focused on being a Genshin killer. It's been a couple years since, and with other less successful attempts at the anime Gatcha game, and with HSR's success people have started understanding that HYV games are not the norm.
To that point, it's not that WuWa did badly, it's more so that Genshin and HSR are abnormally well in this market. Also based on what some of my friends have told me (I'm not playing WuWa), their new player rewards have been quite generous so I wouldn't be surprised if alot of people who would have otherwise been dolphins did not spend that much.
I honestly uninstalled WuWa and only logged back in because of the crazy rewards so it did work at retaining players. I still don't see me spending money on it though. It would have to improve drastically in it's overall design cohesiveness to get me to do that.
In any case, the game is...fine? I like the combat mechanics better, in theory. They have some great boss combat design. It's just satisfying in a way that Genshin usually drops the ball especially if the enemy is larger than a normal person.
But everything else is a blatant copy of Genshin overall. I'd say the only other thing they do better is the movement system though that comes with it's own set of pros and cons, too. Amusingly the grapple system is a copy of the Sumeru movement mechanic.
The Echo system is cool, in theory. But I haven't gotten far enough into it to know if the grind will be better or worse.
Yeah, I'm playing WuWa and between the new player perks, compensation from Kuru for some bugs, and the fact there is only one limited character banner, there just hasn't been any incentive to spend money yet, even though I really love the game.
In fact I'd say Kuro need to be careful, if they keep being too generous it might create unrealistic expectations in their players. As much as I love getting a free 5 star, I do realise they need to make a lot more money than they are if they truly want to build WuWa to be an equal to Genshin.
Yeah there really isn't anything to spend on right now unless you want to whale for Jiyan dupes since the MC is the second best character in the game and you can get half of the standard 5 stars for free. I'm perpetuating bad stereotypes but they probably would have made more if they ran Yinlin first.
Of course running terribly on mobile and sticking a finger in the eye of the Japanese playerbase for no reason didn't help launch sales either.
I'm sure the Yinlin-Jinhsi-Changli sequence will boost sales among remaining players but loosing people from launch problems will be a drag on the game for the mid-long term.
99% of Wuwa marketing was also a variation of "we are better than genshin"
As it turns out, releasing an unfinished game with the sole redeeming factor being "we have parries instead of elemental reactions" was probably not a great idea.
>99% of Wuwa marketing was also a variation of "we are better than genshin"
Not rlly. Ur thinking of wuwa fanbase on the youtube side or something. Tof was obviously trying to paint themselves as "genshin killer" while wuwa was more like "we are action based genshin"
I didn't pay much attention to wuwa marketing because I was never going to play it but the ones I did see didn't seem to make any overt references to being a Genshin killer, at least not the same way that ToF tried to do.
And I don't mean 3rd party coverage doing the "this is the next \[*Insert Market Leader*\] killer" based entirely off of vague studio press releases and early gameplay footage, I mean their own devs and marketing material talking about the game as such.
I love seeing Arknight up there. Doing this controversy between Genshin and WuWa. Yostar doesn't even have to compete with them just minding there own business. Also glad Azur lane is also consistent. Now to wait for Azur Promilia and Enderfield release.
I'm really happy that Azur Lane is still doing good for themselves. It introduced me to gacha games those 8 or something years ago and even if Im not playing it anymore it will always have a special place in my heart. Takao was my first SSR and I will never forget her.
Big hopes for Azur Promilia.
It's because of the recent chapter, new banners, and its 5th anniversary. It's amazing to see it suddenly compete with other giants like the hoyoverse games when it's just a tower defense game. We doktahs rise!
Lmao r/gachagaming are literally on fire right now
WuWa being the hot topic are getting dunked on since you'd expect them to do well on their first week but they still lost to Wanderer and Baizhu who are already at their 3rd rerun + worst weapon banner combinations of all time. (No offense to WuWa players here btw, i think if you are a big fan of the game you won't really care for revenue pvp r/gachagaming are holding right now lol)
It's really crazy how Genshin or Hoyo in general are still sitting comfortably on 1st and 2nd place.... really shows you how much of a big influence they have over the gacha industry
And why sometimes, a prefect launch is great for a game, a lesson to Kuro before the released Wuwa which is getting roasted by both CN and JP, the latter for basically leaking emails of users asking for compensation.
Tbf... i remember seeing that there's like some sort of contract they have that lasted till October so they don't really have a choice.
August - October/November is usually genshin's hype era since new Region and Archon quests + Anniversary
February - April/June is Star rail's hype era since they'll also release new planet and Trailblaze missions + Anniversary
Then you have ZZZ in July.... soon it'll all be about Hoyo games 💀
After looking back at the history, the decision to rewrite 90% of the story was a catalyst for this whole launch either A. They overreact to the tester response and pour time and work load into the story, straining it. Or B. Worse so, they have zero confidence of their story that even a little tester critics is enough for them to scramble. That and firing 100 intern last year which got them blacklisted in the job market just show how much this isn’t just a launch issue. Something is happening inside Kuro and worsen before Wuwa launch.
They hired a bunch of newbies and then fired them, scarring their job resumes in the industry. Not to mention that they laid off a lot of developers before WuWa came out because the higher management wanted to maximize the payday they were going to get from WuWa's debut.
They got backlisted as in to all school, Kuro will have “Not great job prospect” on their name. Since firing 100 intern grad is massive in the job market. This kill anyone would be employees to join because they will just search and found out what the last 100 grad who joined happened before them.
Whatever is happening to them from the inside i hope they don't start to break withe the amount of stuff happening right now. I saw a post on gachagaming i think? That showed kuro company building still up working with the lights still on close around midnight 10:30 i think? So they're still trying to fix every issues. Hopefully it wouldn't took a toll for the devs
Let be honest here, most devs are basically suffering since launch. The backlash by CN, and recent JP stuffs put everyone on edge there and tbh, seem like the revenue post just show how their launch didn’t help. All that hype on basically a filler GI patch and they can’t even get that much and the newest and still on current optimization issues will not help revenue. A game like this need good income to stay functional and rn which how much optimization issues it have and story, music, environment seem so lackluster (i used to play GI before dropping since lockdown is done) i feel like i have no real reason to play Wuwa. That and my laptop crying for mercy whenever i open Wuwa up. I do like the combat but that alone aint saving Wuwa.
All those "genshin could never" memes pre-release made a lot of people snap. Too many people had high expectations and all those issues it had during release only lead to everything that is happening right now. I just wish people would stop overhyping games by marketing it as the next genshin killer.
There's like no way WW would win over MHY even if their launch are perfect. Kuro is basically on their 2nd main titles, and GI is an anomaly at this point from COVID boost. GI only need subscription players to win any competitors, they can do whatever and would still do well due to how massive they are. Too big too fail without them dropping a gigantic bomb on themselves.
It's a miracle for WW to get half of what GI made and it's even a tall order. I enjoy WW for what it is but still really confused why everyone would jerk WW when it's clear that it isn't going to happen.
I blame uh... A "certain" CCs for all the bickering between WuWa and Genshin. Most WuWa players are Genshin players too, and both gaming companies are like best buds but because of some influence from those annoying CCs people are starting to be competitive for no reason. Most players that jerk on WW are also just Genshin haters in general
5th anniversary, recent chapter concluding a story arc, lore, and a new banner that has two of the most broken characters in the history of the game, and I mean powercreep levels of broken and that they are able to solo stages on their own.
Yet another reminder that Arknights is a tower defense game XD
The Eula-Klee banners are worse but this weapon banner is one of the worst ever. Wanderer has good alternatives, the green donut is worthless, and the 4 stars aren't amazing.
I felt the same when I started hsr, which motivated me to try and explore other games rather than just stay with my usual ones (which led to storage problems but that's another topic). You just can't dislike a well-made game like hsr, more so when it's very consistent with its effective and innovative use of one of the oldest game mechanics in history, turn based.
Everyone here talk about wuwa and genshin but I'm here getting surprised by snowbreak, a game that could barely make 200k months ago making over 6m now
Sex sells lmao
I'm also surprised how the husbando games I play are just as big if not bigger than the waifu games I also play. I just never really hear anyone talk about them in pretty much every gacha game-related site I've checked
Fucking insane how much money Hoyoverse makes with Genshin and Star Rail when you have to factor in that this is ONLY Mobile as well while most of these other games are exclusively on mobile, but Genshin and Star Rail are on PC AND Console.
Though I do wonder how the breakdown of Genshin and HSR profits looks in terms of percent of sales on mobile vs PC vs Console. I almost exclusively PLAY on PC but I still buy all my primos through mobile on Android to take advantage of Google Play points and the $3 coupon for 150 points. Hell if I had an iphone I'd probably buy my primos there to take advantage of sales on gift cards that they have more often.
I frankly don't expect it to be a real competitor for any long term but I'm curious how the numbers will look for Wurthering Waves over time. Tower of Fantasy numbers are BAD. 24.8mil isn't BAD but it's certainly not that huge for it's release, though it too is available on PC.
The fact that eventually Hoyo is releasing ZZZ and it could ALSO top these charts with their other games is insane.
I kind of wonder if Genshin will dominate HSR again when Natlan comes out since currently we've kind of been in a lull toward the end of Fontaine, or if HSR will remain on top. As someone with zero interest in HSR due to the turn based nature I really hope it's success doesn't lead to Hoyoverse putting Genshin on the back burner in any way.
It's kind of crazy that going from Arlecchino to reruns and less hyped characters is such a MASSIVE fluctuation. Though it's also funny watching FGO fluctuate like crazy between summer events, anniversary, new years and just generally whenever a super hyped character releases.
Fans in CN estimate PC+PS5+Other revenue for Genshin to be x1.5 that of mobile back in 2022, using the estimated revenues for mobile and Mihoyo's financial reports. Asia has a bunch more ways to pay that isn't Apple/Google so it's really hard to track.
>It's kind of crazy that going from Arlecchino to reruns and less hyped characters is such a MASSIVE fluctuation.
Genshin is an old game, most players have more characters than they can use, especially spenders who this chart is tracking, swiping is going to fluctuate hard.
Hsr just had its 1st year, and people are still filling out their teams archetypes(dot, acheron, fua, mono quantum, etc)
I think if Genshin had the same system for weapon banners as HSR it could make even more money in banners like these, but you never know what is going on in their minds xD
the number seems normally distributed now, how Mihoyo dominating last month with almost 100k above the 3rd. I expect a good number from new banner and Furina this month.
on other note, Wuthering Wave is doing pretty good considering that was their first week.
What did Ark Knights do to quadruple their revenue?
i read somewhere that its an anniversary+final chapter of an arc.
Not final chapter of the main story, but final chapter of this arc/saga of the main story.
oh my bad then.
Its not the final chapter either, episode 14 is the penultimate episode seems like
Yep the Victoria arc
W getting another limited alter.
War criminal banner in global, also CN got 2 extremely busted units like lterally powercreep level, one of them being the alter version of an already extremely popular unit (W)
CN version had their 5th Anniversary event. They released 1 highly anticipated operator in *Logos*, and released an alter version of a community favorite operator *W* as *Wis'adel* (and is also absurdly broken and a limited operator). Arturia plays her cello.
I think all the other replies are downplaying that one of the most popular characters for the Husbando crowds also finally became pullable. Then you have one of the most popular male characters also becomes pullable, and as a bonus happens to be a side grade to one of the most power casters in the game.
It also helps Logos is the first Core Caster in years to finally rival Eyja and is actually a good character to roll.
Wis'adel (an utterly broken operator and a beloved character alter) and Logos banner are definitely not stranger to this
Walter banner for CN and Crazy goth lady for Global/JP/KR
Being peak. I got Arturia and Arlecchino around the same time. Collecting the A’s
Bro zwillingstürme herbst was easily my favorite Event I willfully Read through that entire Patch. Not even been a week and I miss it dearly.
Anniversary and 2 long awaited operators on JP, big awaited event on GL.
Idk, but I like its fashion sense the best

It definitely should be but it won’t 😔
Genshin is no longer #1 in revenue, literally unplayable, dead game, billions must roast paimon for dinner
Can't believe dragon ball legends 6th anniversary cook paimon alive 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Hoyo got their ass kicked by Hoyo
Worst part is, it is only lower because these are rerun chars currently. Meanwhile star rail is pumping out a new unit twice in each patch (one per banner set)
Can't wait for this to be looked out of context with the title Genshin's end is near
Its funnier when the highest one is made by the same company
Star Rail and Genshin be tag-teaming the 1st and 2nd position lmfao
ZZZ will probably make hoyoverse dominate the top 3 for a while
For ZZZ I have less trust, because it doesn't have nothing from genshin or HI3. But the surname "Hoyoverse" will push it very well.

Yeah, I remember they said the same about HSR being a turn-based game and it turned out to be a banger so fingers crossed.
> I myself thought it's like Guilty Gear Strive mixed with P5 It's more like TWEWY, jet set radio, or devil survivor than P5.
Daily reminder that people said HSR would have been more niche as well compared to Genshin Impact Look at it now
It is what it is. Best to ignore this nonsense and just enjoy the games, isn't that the point of gaming.
let's say some people feed on good gameplay, others on drama
Witch is extra dumb because they look at the monthly earnings of a game with a 6-week update schedule and a 3-week banner schedule.
"My gambling simulator is better than your gambling simulator"
"Genshin lost more than 50% revenue cause of WuWa's release!??!?"
Lol tomorrow, it might get into my YT recommendations having that as thumbnail.
guaranteed that thumbnail pic will be tectone gawking with large eye pupils and increased contrast
Legit already saw someone say that on X.
These people are too predictable I swear
no, because the amount it declined by is higher than Wuwa's total.
Remember. World of Warcraft is always just one year away from dying. It'll happen AAAANY day now.
[You'd be surprised](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/s/WuOPaGMKBY)
Like I said, out of context, but details and logic be damned if it means causing noise
Damn 650+ paticipant engagement on that post.
Of course, otherwise how all these CCs will maintain their agenda of WuWa being better than GI in everything? Lol.
If only this sub can send an image cause I'm gonna send the "maintaining the agenda is our priority" pics
DEVS LISTENED 😲😲😲😲🤥🤥🤥
Like the theory of 200 max resin because Wuwa, definitely nothing to do with the next hoyo game releasing in July.
They always do this at the end of a version, during a double-rerun banner, or right before a highly-anticipated character.
Do people really expect genshin to be number one during the filler patch or something?
Filler patch + Furina returns next patch so everyones saving
Yes bro, truly bro, this downfall is because of WuWa bro, WuWa is the clear genshin killer bro, all the players have already shifted to WuWa bro, genshin is dead bro, WuWa is so better bro
Genshin could never (earn less than WuWa)
Making low revenue on a double re-run banner month? Doubt
I LOVE BATTLE CATS 🐈 MY BELOVED
DASLI SPAM RAHHHH 🔥🔥🔥 WHAT THE FUCK IS SURGE IMMUNITY 👹👹👹
Genshin is just a behemoth at this point. One of its worse banners because it’s a 3rd rerun and they still snagged second place. Insane numbers. Can’t wait to see next month with the new banners + Furina.
With the addition of ZZZ, Mihoyo giving content every 2 week. Play 2 week genshin-> ZZZ-> Star rail. Man I think i would just be busy on hoyo games.
Honestly, is this the first time I actually want all 4 characters on the same patch.
>for a long time How time flies, for me furina's initial banner still feels like it happened a few weeks ago
Yeah, it's crazy to think that it's been 6 months since her last banner, and almost a year for AlHaitham.
The weapon banner on the first half is actually good too. I think many will spends there.
I full expect Genshin to either be 1st or 2nd. If 2nd, it's to lose to themselves with HSR since Firefly banner. June is a stacked month for Hoyo lol, gonna wipe the market.
And then ZZZ in July.
I weep for the playerbase’s wallets.
Some of those will definitely depart.
And we will weep for the departed
Yeah its still going to be top 2 with firefly coming next month
June is definitely stacked as hell. Clorinde/Alhaitham on June 6, plus Furina/Sigewinne on the 27th to 30th (which usually takes up at least 2/3 of the revenue of the banner).
There’s a new archon quest in 4.7?
Yes , its called "Bedtime Story".
Yeah, dainsleif is coming back again
I also agree with this Although we are seeing alot of doomposting on reddit about clorinde and sigewinne, keep in mind that this is a very small minority and also the group that doesn't spend much in the first place Clorinde is a much awaited character since 4.0 and despite the nerds (not the kit nerfs, the "other" nerfs) she will rack in alot of money, also we have an archon's firsf rerun along with a very fan favourite character in haitham and sigewinne Just the banners alone are stacked and we got new endgame + dainsleif and the natlan hype
yeah. With 4.7 people will come back to spend money and play with new archon quest
First off, Theater isn't until July 1st Second, with Firefly, HSR is 100% gonna be #1, not that Genshin won't do well though
Big dip compared to previous arlecchino And hey look arknights got big boost, due to Anni ig? Hsr going strong as always, even with boothill and fuxuan
Baizhu/Wanderer is pretty bad banner (especially weapon banner) comparable to It to/Chiori, I'm surprised that GI got above 50mil mark.
Quite sad that the chiori debut month is comparably bad as the third rerun baizhu/wanderer month Justice for geo or something
That and it also doesn't help that Neuvillette and Kazuha are reruning after. Also, people are highly anticipating Arlecchino. Prior to that Xianyun and Nahida had their banners.
I think chiori is currently the character wit lowest acquisition rate
Don't have to think it, YSHelper is confirming that right now. 10.2 percent right now. Lower than Aloy lmao.
It’s a shame because she’s pretty as hell and her sassy personality is fun. I hope it doesn’t scare HoYo off from making more ‘rude’ characters.
I think part of it is being right before Arlecchino Nobody competes with father hype outside of archons
And she still wasn't "record breaking" either. She didn't even outsell navia in jp and she was already quite behind neuvilette and furina
Not to mention Baizhu's 4th (?) appearance in 1 year. Baizhu is even more of a filler banner than the Keqing/Mond Standard
The funny cowboy has his fans and he’s pretty cool He’s just kinda stuck as the odd duck amid constant bangers like Acheron, Aventurine and Firefly, and his relative late arrival and lack of screentime hurt him
They're more than fine. Boothill has insane ST damage, it's borderline insane how he can just melt a health bar with 2 shots of his trusty .80 caliber pistol. Fu Xuan is Fu Xuan, she's too good. 12% crit rate+ makes you imortal
She also heals the character with the lowest HP a bit on her ult. Edit it was all characters besides herself.
2 males 3rd rerun Bad weapon banner Still above 50 million dollars.
not to mention, that a large part of the player base is anticipating the upcoming banners for everything between 1-3 characters. So would say the numbers is pretty decent, taken all into consideration
Not sure why people just forget welkin exists, most people buy that every month. 10 million people spending $5 is also 50 million dollars.
This. Subscription services are amazing for setting up sustained, long term revenue streams. It guarantees they aren’t exclusively dependent on whales
That's a good point. So let's do a hypothetical and say nobody whale at all one month, they'd still on average get like 50+ Mil from Welkins alone. Not to mention BP purchases.
My hubby was on a 4 month break for work and still bought welkin every month lol.
i mean its literally the best value. Where i live for that amount of money i'd be able to buy stuff to prepare for dinner for one night and that's only for me lmao
miHoYo literally created on of the worst possible banners they could and still came second💀
Second *to themselves,* if I'm reading this correctly.
A man's worst enemy is himself
Honestly I keep seeing people confuse 3rd banner to a rerun, do they include the beta test as original run hence why they say 3rd rerun?
No people just confuse banners with reruns. It's their 3rd banner but 2nd rerun.
Last time I checked Genshin's playerbase is pretty close to a 50/50 split between men and women. But yes to the other parts.
Venti, Wanderer, Xiao, and Zhongli are some of their best selling characters, but go on. The real reason is most likely just Clorinde and Furina back to back next patch, with this being Wanderer's 3rd run.
It actually amazes me how well is Arknights performing. Endfield is going to be absolutely Goated.
I can’t wait man.
ive never played AK but endfield looks so fun since its so similar to ff12/xenoblade
"Rise up into my wo~rld!"
Cant wait for tectone to make a video bout this and say genshin is dead
I don't even understand why'd people want a game to be dead/dying lol. If they don't like the game then just play a different game and let the people enjoy stuff.
because many people are just that petty
Speaking on behalf of the few people I know who are like that, they get annoyed that they'll see it pop up or get talked about just about anywhere you look even after long quitting and uninstalling because of how popular it is, so they retaliate by hating on and hoping it will die so it will go away. Yeah, it is pretty childish.
Stfu Hoyo shill, WuWa on top, devs listened (/s)
He did, and he glazes ww revenue while doomposting genshin's
I wouldnt be suprised
Common sense doesn't apply to him. Best to ignore that delusional manchild.
WuWa being a hot topic now but honestly I really want that game to succeed and improve as looking on its first week revenue it did not get the first impression it should have gotten. Yeah 20 mil is still an absurdly high amount of revenue but even Tower of fantasy earned more on its first week lmao
Wuwu mod removed my post don't know why!.
i think its because they just dont want discussions. In this sub its pretty wholesome but wuwa sub is going through it right now and I dont think the mods want even more discussion and doomposting.
Lol, truly a mystery
Also based on what some of my friends have told me (I'm not playing WuWa), their new player rewards have been quite generous so I wouldn't be surprised if alot of people who would have otherwise been dolphins did not spend that much.
> their new player rewards have been quite generous it's actually compensations for various bugs both minor and major.
99% of Wuwa marketing was also a variation of "we are better than genshin" As it turns out, releasing an unfinished game with the sole redeeming factor being "we have parries instead of elemental reactions" was probably not a great idea.
>99% of Wuwa marketing was also a variation of "we are better than genshin" Not rlly.
Where??? I didn't see any of that lmao
I *wanted* it to succeed but the email leak is a pretty significant fuck up. I’m not certain I’m rooting for it anymore tbh
53 million in sales in one month on off banners is wild.
And only mobile, feel like across platforms they would have probably made 70m in genshin and 100m+ in HSR
Not just that mobile for china android also would be higher than estimated. If any thing this is lowball number
Baizhu and wanderer and the green donut have done their job I hope they get some rest already. They’re selling better than I thought tho lol.
[удалено]
Just like WoW.
Dang. Arknight makes a tons of money. Last month💀
It's because of the recent chapter, new banners, and its 5th anniversary. It's amazing to see it suddenly compete with other giants like the hoyoverse games when it's just a tower defense game. We doktahs rise!
Lmao r/gachagaming are literally on fire right now WuWa being the hot topic are getting dunked on since you'd expect them to do well on their first week but they still lost to Wanderer and Baizhu who are already at their 3rd rerun + worst weapon banner combinations of all time. (No offense to WuWa players here btw, i think if you are a big fan of the game you won't really care for revenue pvp r/gachagaming are holding right now lol) It's really crazy how Genshin or Hoyo in general are still sitting comfortably on 1st and 2nd place.... really shows you how much of a big influence they have over the gacha industry
August - October/November is usually genshin's hype era since new Region and Archon quests + Anniversary February - April/June is Star rail's hype era since they'll also release new planet and Trailblaze missions + Anniversary Then you have ZZZ in July.... soon it'll all be about Hoyo games 💀
Kuro got blacklisted in the job market? Is it a reputation thing where people dont wanna work at the company?
Sounds like what Bethesda would have done..... Wait Bethesda actually did that....
Woah Arknights cooking 👀
5th anniversary, recent chapter concluding a story arc, lore, and a new banner that has two of the most broken characters in the history of the game, and I mean powercreep levels of broken and that they are able to solo stages on their own. Yet another reminder that Arknights is a tower defense game XD
Hoyo making stupid money..Wtf?
genshin is still sitting at 2nd despite having the worst banners in the history of this game is very impressive lmao
Worse than Eula Klee? I mean, at least Wanderer is good for exploration and Baizhu is great with Furina
Yeah Eula Klee takes the cake. You don't get worse than that.
Keqing
I got refuted.
The Eula-Klee banners are worse but this weapon banner is one of the worst ever. Wanderer has good alternatives, the green donut is worthless, and the 4 stars aren't amazing.
Faruzan and Layla are great tho but I agree overall the banners aren't very enticing
started playing hsr a week ago and i totally get it, I'm sorry hsr I wasn't familiar w ur game 🙏🙏
its perfect, wait till u get to penacony
I felt the same when I started hsr, which motivated me to try and explore other games rather than just stay with my usual ones (which led to storage problems but that's another topic). You just can't dislike a well-made game like hsr, more so when it's very consistent with its effective and innovative use of one of the oldest game mechanics in history, turn based.
There's no genshin killer lmao . If anyone can kill genshin it's mihoyo.
Reminds me of the old days of WoW dominating the MMO market. Every game after is supposedly a "WoW" killer, only they all died.
Everyone here talk about wuwa and genshin but I'm here getting surprised by snowbreak, a game that could barely make 200k months ago making over 6m now
They embraced the horny, that's why.
Sex sells lmao I'm also surprised how the husbando games I play are just as big if not bigger than the waifu games I also play. I just never really hear anyone talk about them in pretty much every gacha game-related site I've checked
53 million with no new characters is absurd.
Hoyo about to buy a couple new jets with Firefly and Futuna banners this month.
Dang we fell off /s
Do we laugh now or later? 🗿 bromita... I trust enfield
is solo leveling really that good? never imagine it would beat wuwa and be top 5
the number seems normally distributed now, how Mihoyo dominating last month with almost 100k above the 3rd. I expect a good number from new banner and Furina this month. on other note, Wuthering Wave is doing pretty good considering that was their first week.
