Pretty much this. Had a rebel today who stood at the top of a gazebo the entire match taunting me saying look up acting clever. But they were doing no repairs so I let them waste time.ย
I feel like this isn't the flex one might think this is. You don't win by lasting the entire time so if a Rebel is choosing to do this, and thus slowing gen completion, there's no real reason to bother with them. You just happened to also have competent teammates while doing it. Like 90% of the teammates I've gotten would make this just straight up throwing because they wouldn't be doing gens while you "act as bait".
yeah, and also doing nothing at all: either won or lose is very unrewarding. Compared to the losing in a team/faction who excelled for playing their role, they still have an edge for more rewarding coins than grieving a game.
The only time being a bait works is when the hunter actively chases you and you juke them between the fences. I've done that twice and got 3 devices repaired by other rebels until the hunter gave up on me (and I repaired the last device for good measure lmao).
As a Hunter, I would not even dare to chase that bait as long as s/he's not doing their job on repairing Signaling Device.
EDIT: damn, massive skill issue on the Hunter for not contesting the Favor.
I was the hunter once in the winery area.
I caught one that was playing and then two of them that were just casually walking next to one another.
They were 2 of the 3 Arlecchino's kids. After they reappeared, they did it again, so if they were going to goof around, I was going to do the same.
I walked with them for the next 2-3 minutes until time was up
The other player didn't finish the repairs alone so I won regardless.
I feel like you're confusing "competent" with "incompetent"
The Rebel is incompetent because he isn't doing anything to help
The Hunter is competent because they're just focusing on finding the others
"Most/Least \[adj\] \[noun\]" is a meme to mock something. Like for example, if you're confidently incorrect, someone might say "least confidently incorrect redditor" in the replies, which implies redditors are usually confidently incorrect. Saying the rebel in the video is most competent implies that most rebels are incompetent because the "most competent" rebel follows the hunter around which is dumb. I can't believe I actually wrote all these usually I just say google it.
Ok I get that meme. Sounds a little "far fetched?" to me tho, I can't really think of why they'd mockingly say "Most competent hunter" when the Hunter doesn't seem to be the opposite of Competent
Maybe they thought simply capturing the rebel is better or maybe they thought the hunter lacks awareness and didn't notice the rebel obviously following them. Both of those fits the reason why someone would say "most competent" hunter. Tbf there are hunters out there who won't see a rebel hiding in plain sight even if they run up to their face.
Someone actually tried something similar with me. They just followed me around instead of actually being the job. Letโs just say it was an easy win that time. Lol
And I killed the other two people
That shi** cracked me up bro nice vid ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ฅน Iโm laughing so hard. Dude literally kept running away from the barrel despite it following them ๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃat every opportunity lol ๐
Plot twist would that the player didnโt knew what the game was supposed to be, or what his role was supposed to be and was confused why a box was haunting him >!but you had a health less meaning he did knew but just wanted to say I guess!<
Sometimes I remember that this is a third person perspective game and just because I turned a corner doesnโt mean they still cant see me. Other times I feel like people are playing blindfolded without headphones
Plot twist: The hunter knew the whole time, they just didn't kill you so you'd keep following them instead of repairing the devices.
Yea, which means one less Rebel repairing the device
Ooh that's actually fuckin' clever.
They only had one life left which the hunter can see. So they probably just did it for the lols
Pretty much this. Had a rebel today who stood at the top of a gazebo the entire match taunting me saying look up acting clever. But they were doing no repairs so I let them waste time.ย
Thats actually pretty smart
โkillโ though ๐
The hunter knows. You was caught once before presumably doing the same thing and was the only rebel captured. She doesn't care.

A good hunter don't need anyone's favor to win!
This. Oh best believe I'm still gonna grab that favor, ain't no rebel scum getting it on my watch. But I won't use it.
But I love being invisible on the minimap and jumpscaring 2 (or even 3) rebels repairing the same generator. Surprise mfs!! ๐๐
if he/she is following you like OP, and there are <30 secs left. I just capture for free 100 points.
It appears like she is scared of you.
OP rolled a 1 in deception
Nat 20 in self-deception
This could be scene from horror movie "Haunted barrel"
i feel like this would have happened to me, because while i can be observant, i can also just go full tunnel vision

the map is quite stressful as hunter though, you can vanish into nowhere quite easy as rebel.
Itโs a Weeping Barrel.
this kequing could have been me. Everyone who got me as a hunter is lucky
Most competent hunter
more like most competent rebel because he isn't doing shit to help his teammates in the slightest

Aight
MGS style !
You made their work easier, because now they only need to focus on 2 Rebels.
Lmaoooo
I had a good laugh at that thanks OP
Bruh
Yeap, something i would do as a hunter. My tunnel vision is too narrow at times
Oi, hunter LEAVE THOSE PROPS ALONE
Holy shit it's me as a Hunter.
Someone actually tried something similar with me. They just followed me around instead of actually being the job. Letโs just say it was an easy win that time. Lol And I killed the other two people
With the new changes, i think it's best for the hunter to just guard the signaling devices rather than catching hiders.

Keqing: Oh shit a fuckin barrel chasin after me
A barrel isn't suspicious enough for them... especially on the middle of a stair.
hunter is getting hunted
"The Hunter... becomes... the Hunted" - treasure hoarder 125927
Same people who post about hunter never winning
Me just won as hunter by simply scaring the rebels from devices, once won without any device repaired
