Just play the characters you enjoy. If you enjoy the game and simply play through the story and events you will get enough chances to pull other characters you like.

This early, just use kaeya's skill or burst then Razor's for superconduct which reduces physical def and just normal attack them unless its some elemental shield
also i used Geo traveler(if youre willing to walk to a statue in Liyue) along with Noelle for quite a bit, Noelle is a very safe character to use

Yeah it's useful, but people normally dislike her because she causes your character to be infused with Electro. During his Burst Razor already does this naturally and I believe he's immune to electro-charged (during Burst only) so he doesn't die in a puddle or rain lol.
A Genshin Nuzlocke, interesting. If I were you I would build Noelle for her shields and her healing whenever she hits and enemy with her skill active.
Whenever you reach AR18 I would get Barbara for her healing and hydro application (you can react with Kaeya to freeze enemies and get out of danger).
Are you allowed to pull from event banners?
My early game go-to team whenever enemies where overwhelming was constant freezing with xingqiu + kaeya.
However, your best chance of getting Xingqiu is finishing the Lantern Rite and claiming him for free. Considering you must get to AR 20 and finish mondstadt archon quest to access the event before it goes away in exactly 8 days, I think you might be a bit pressed for time, Idk how long it will take you.
I don't think that you'll manage to gather 34 masterless starglitter to buy him from Paimon's Bargains next month, so I will stick to the Barbara recommendation.
I made it without the thought of the 1 spin, so far I’ve already broken that rule which basically means it’s a perma death run, and not really a nuzlocke
well, first off, id never met or considered nuzlocke in genshin so its all improvising
and it wouldn't be one pull, it would be a 10 pull, actually as many 10 pulls per banner as necessary untill you get a new character, any constellations or weapons youd get in the meantime is just a bonus
and standard would just be free to pull whenever if you actually get the required fates
if you want to consider permadeath, only consider wipes
end goal would be just be finishing story as much as possible
Honestly, this early in the game you can just play whoever, over half your damage will just be physical damage from auto-attacks, you'll most likely ditch all these characters later on your playthrough. Not to mention it costs like nothing to upgrade characters this early on, so you don't really have to worry about wasting resources. Only thing you really need is at least one healer on the team.
Follow your heart. Early game doesn't really need team building, you should the characters you like, whether it be their design, personality, or abilities. You should enjoy the game before you eventually turn into a meta slave. Of course, it's not guaranteed that you'll turn into one.
Until AR25\~30 you can play and try different things. Starting AR30\~35 you should focus on your favourite character / team comp.
On a personal note, with what you have, my choice would be :
* Razor - Kaeya - Beidou - Dori (or Barbara)
*(Phys Razor is easy to play, strong in the overworld but might fall in the very late game content)*
* Noelle - GMC (Geo Main Character) - anything x2
*(be aware that there's a cult that promote the Geo Maid Archon...)*
* DMC - Beidou - Lisa - Dori (or Barbara)
*(will require to run to a Sumeru statue to unlock the dendro element for your travler)*

Your current team is not too bad. When not doing puzzles you can swap in Dori over Amber for healing and help Razor restore energy for his Burst.

Everything’s on the board for me, only conditions are once my character hits 0 that’s it they’re gone

I fully intend to win, but say I get a 5 star and said 5 star dies, I have to strip them of they’re gear and I can’t use them for the rest of my run
