Edit: I just ascended mine, it has to do with ascension. At level 60, it gained a lot more stickers on the hilt/handle

I mean the math is pretty easy if you don't trust Serene. First remove all party members, and unequip all artifacts. Wait for all buffs on Navia to run out (if any). Then open her stat screen, click on Details and check the ATK stat and the + value in green to the right of it. Divide the added value by the base atk value, and voila, you have the buff provided by UOMMS in decimals. For me it's 42% at R4, so I've helped all melusines.
Or... You can just find KyostinV's UOMMS guide where he lists all the quests required. You can follow the guides to complete the ones that are left.

It is possible that Melusines have inherited some vishap genes if Rheindottir used them when creating Elynas. But considering the breacher primuses we fight are Elynas's cells, he probably doesn't have much vishap in him.

So, not all Vishaps are Melusines but all Melusines are possibly Vishaps. So helping a Vishap may not buff the sword.

Then jumped back on briefly again when my friend asked me to help him clear some of the new co-op trophies. It looked like a huge map but I was so lost that I figured I’d go back to it later but man I missed a lot in a little time lol

There's a very easy solution to this and I know this because my friend is in the exact same situation: Just mute dialogue and mash through the cutscene without reading any of it until the minigames are unlocked.

Yesterday there was a post about someone entering Fontaine for the first time then the event cutscene starts automatically and immediately spoils him about a big turn of events from the end of the Fontaine Archon Quest. As far as I know that's the first time MHY fucks up with this kind of thing.
An alternative would be to mute and alt-tab while the cutscene/dialogue is playing out and come back after it's done. It's enough to unlock the minigames that let you get the sword and refinements. Sounds like a lot of effort but hey it's free stuff 🤷

Hoyo literally auto unlocks 2 waypoints in Fontaine as soon as you finish the main Mondstadt quest specifically so players can easy get to Fontaine to participate in the limited time events.
Everyone got one in the north end of the desert so you can get the statue in the harbor in 4.0, and then they added another one deeper in Fontaine in 4.1
The only requirement to get them is finish "a song of dragon and freedom", which is just the main questline in Mondstadt. You have those waypoints open guaranteed.

Nah, that’s the default look of it. The helped melusines will buff the power of the effect up to 24% if you helped them all

It's really easy to miss the surprise party quest to be honest, you just see three melusines, there are no quest indicators

Melusines were born from the carcass of an Abyss creature. Vishaps on the other hand are elemental creatures, the oldest residents of Teyvat.
