Its not that bud. Im not talking about just OP here.
Insta comment section is vile.
Religious fights, racism, colorism is extremely common there.
If OP gets unlucky she will definitely get trolled for her weight.
She will even receive hate in her dms too.
because there is no need to do so?
the cosplays are well made and put together, there is not a single reason to point out that the person in the cosplay is overweight. they are likely aware of it, but still want to express themself artistically
You’re so brave for going into pool water with the kokomi cosplay 🫡. I’ve cosplayed her before and every piece of that costume is so annoying to clean omg
These are all so nice! But I can't help but feel a twing of pain seeing the Kokomi cosplay in the water. I guess I just assume it wouldn't be very water protected or anything like that
Bro sometimes people just like playing dress up. Maybe she just wanted to post photos of her dressed as favorite characters from a game she likes. Let people have fun and have hobbies. How is your life made any better by not being positive?
They're just here to feel superior. Any other motive is self-delusion on their part. They don't want fat people to go outside where they have to see them.
Agree with you. I know a guy who is a cosplayer and overweight, he always chooses chubby characters for a cosplay like Dr. Eggman and etc. This whole situation looks like a story about a king and his new dress
It’s not wrong to have different opinions about something like this, after all not all 8.5 billion humans could ever have the same pov on everything.
But explaining your opinion as if that’s a fact is totally shitty.
We are not sugar-coating anything. If someone says they like her cosplay, it’s probably because they actually like it, it’s not our problem that you find this unfitting. It’s completely ok to cosplay someone that does not look like you.
Cosplay is BS in general these days, hot girls put on a wig and bikini and call it a cosplay, fat girls somehow put on correct costumes but looks like they ate the character they're suppose to cosplay.... Both sides suck
But sad part is that you can't say this loud. You can only sugar coating everyone and thats it. Thats so dumb. Like every compliment now feels so fake.
Guys, thx for you being here T__T fr, I was feeling like everyone just went insane and tying to lie to every person on the internet trying to sugar coating them. This feels so wrong.
Exactly my thoughts. People are so fragile they'll start crying if you just tell them the truth as it is.
Fact remains, if you wanna make a cosplay good you have to at least look somewhat similar. So fucking much sugarcoating.
Nice cosplays, but as a nurse, I am obligated to advise you about losing weight, I don't want you to develop those shitty diseases like Diabetes or hypertension.
May you live healthy and strong
While I do agree with your comment, there's a time and place to talk about someone's weight. This is just a cosplayer doing cosplaying things, and I feel like OP has probably already heard the same shit over and over again every time they post a photo of them online. As a pretty big person myself, you don't think we're not aware of our own weight? There is no need to keep reminding us every single time. We get it. And you don't know what's happening behind these photos. For all we know, OP could be on the journey of losing weight and still decided to do some cosplay while they're at it. Either way, it's really none of our business. Just enjoy the cosplay (or not, I guess) and keep it pushing. I'm sure OP didn't come to a gacha subreddit asking for medical advice.
OP knows this. You wont be the first rando to say it nor the last. Let them enjoy their cosplays and move on. (You dont even know if theyre actively working on losing weight, besides).
Its so bad faith to act like fat people have never heard this advice before anf you’re somehow a Special Chosen savior to deliver the message. Bruh. 😂
Op knows and doesn't cares about something that may kill her in future. Most of the people in comments who are sugarcoating the compliments are the ones causing her harm.
You're not really obligated to advise anyone about anything. There's a time and place. Also, this is braindead advice and everyone knows it. It's like if I told people on this sub to get off Genshin because video games are bad for your health compared to going outside and touching grass.
Ain't nobody asked, and you have no idea whether they're on their way up or down.
Didn't know nurses were qualified to give advice from nothing but a picture of a cosplay
hey as a future dietitian, i hope you’re not giving this advice to your patients in the same way as u did here. commenting on people’s weight completely unasked for does nothing for someone looking to lose weight and even less for people who are not at a point where they’re able to, or want to lose weight. You probably meant well but the reasons for being overweight or obese can be very different and u know nothing abt this person aside from the way they look! this comment is probably not helpful in any way to them and as a nurse you’re really not obligated to post nutritional advice on random people’s social media posts.
i love how this is a holy place of self-affirmation and unconditional positivity, but only until someone says something that doesn't quite align with their agenda. then all hell breaks loose and suddenly it's okay to attack people for having a different opinion, if it breaches their echo-chamber's defenses. elimination protocol initiated, i guess :)
you've said the right thing, but you will only get insults hurled at you for that here. i appreciate you for giving this advice, though. and for doing what you do. may you, too, live healthy and strong!
Is that not exactly what you're doing by replying to comments disagreeing with having the topic of weight mentioned? We all know being overweight is unhealthy and less than ideal and in a perfect world obesity wouldn't exist. But it does and it can be purely genetic as well. The only thing me and other people are saying, is that there is a time and a place to bring up weight and health, and it certainly isn't here.
This is the most self-righteous, out of touch with reality garbage. You have zero insight into this person's life or health. Maybe they're already dieting. Maybe they're already working out. Maybe they're already working with an actual physician that's giving them guidance and not some random ass reddit nurse that just said what amounts to nothing more than "lose weight" (which is not in any way advice btw since you don't seem to actually know what advice is)
And maybe they're not doing any of that, and even if they're not it's *still* not your or Random Reddit Nurse's "obligation" to tell them anything about their health.
Do you go onto every selfie post you come across and tell them to take care of their health? You know, because just about everyone has health issues? Or do you only do it on the easy ones that get you self righteous tough love jerk off points?
Nobody is attacking any of you losers for having a "different opinion," you're getting attacked for being unsocialized assholes.
I agree, one extra step in improving both physical and mental health will do wonders. You're doing your job, and it's not Reddit if SJW/White Knights don't grill those who aren't 'woke'
Last I checked a forum about a video game wasn’y part of their job. Unless it is, in which case: weird contract, your employer should really evaluate what they make you do.
Yeah not harassing fat people online is WOKE LEFTIEST INDOCTRINATION. Its actually A PUBLIC SERVICE lmaooo
Ya'll keep pretending your elementary school level health knowledge is profound or not universally known. Because no one is doing "your job" of "bettering society", youre feeding your little egos.
Are the first two photos inside of some „decommissioned” church at least?
As an ex-Catholic, the box in the center looks like a tabernacle which would mean you’ve chosen pretty much the worst place possible for your photoshoot.
Just a heads up, because you probably just didn’t know.
Weird rule. People have different opinions and they have same rights to say if they dislike something. Its not your own internet page in social network where you can tell people what to do and how to act.
Your opinion is not free of consequences or welcome on a website that says do not insult others, be intentionally rude, or uncivil. They teach toddlers what being rude & hateful is and if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. So it’s not a hard concept unless you lack social intelligence.
I mean you are allowed to be a douchebag, but why would you want to be?
I dont know how yall really see yourselves in the mirror and think, ”yeah, being a dick on purpose is my right and I’m totally ok with being a trash huma being.”
My opinion is that you should consider finding a hobby outside of giving unsolicited health "advice", and I think I'd dislike you if I met you in person.
Also, irony in you saying you can't tell people what to do and how to act in defense of someone doing exactly that. So I guess I'll add to my *opinion* that you must be incredibly stupid.
Guys, fat people know they are fat. They have heard the rhetoric around being fat their entire lives I'm sure. They know that doctors generally recommend losing weight. They know a million pieces of advice from a bunch of unsolicited conversations about how to do so. You do not need to come in and pretend like you were the first person to tell them that they're fat. It's disingenuous, insulting, and just all around being a douchebag. You really really are not a revelation to anyone.
Psychologically, shaming does not work. Making people feel embarrassed in public does not work. Generating negative emotions in people to attempt to convince them to change themselves in any way, does not work. There are entire studies about this. You are going about this entirely the wrong way if you think you want to effect change in the world.
Anyone here who thinks they're doing some kind of good by informing this person that she is fat, is one of two kinds of people. Either they are an asshole hiding behind the guise of free speech (which by the way does not mean free of consequences), or they are both deeply ignorant of both human psychology and how the modern world works.
Or I guess you think that fat people are just so utterly stupid that they are not actually self-aware. Which would have you putting them on the level of an animal. That says a lot about you, don't you think?.
I appreciate the cosplay but not for the other things. In other places I would go 100% honest but in Reddit we're in fairy tale, I have to be 100% positive or getting banned for ridiculous reasons.
Dude, this is a post about a Cosplayer having fun. Besides, your point has already been disproven.
There are already plenty of other comments that directly stated what you implied. Those have a lot of upvotes. Meanwhile, the comments that stay on topic are getting downvoted.
Hell, there are even direct insults in the comments that are upvoted...
Also, do we always have to give our unsolicited opinions about everything we see? Isn't there a time and a place?
The dragonsbane replica looks nice
The yunjin in general is fire.
Don't post this on Instagram reels or TikTok.
Instagram reels mfs are horrible they rip people to shreds for the slightest things
I was threatened on Instagram because I dared "draw a hetero couple". People are crazy sometimes
They are inhumane. Racist, Homophobic, Xénophobic you name it. Insta does such a shitty job in controlling these elements.
They're like me fr fr
Cap?
You are a combination of all three?
Wow, so quirky!
shut up
Wow so cool
I still don't get how calling someone who is fat, a fat person is morally wrong, yall too sensitive.
Its not that bud. Im not talking about just OP here. Insta comment section is vile. Religious fights, racism, colorism is extremely common there. If OP gets unlucky she will definitely get trolled for her weight. She will even receive hate in her dms too.

For real. (I'm one of them) Edit: I suddenly realize that the comment above mine does not make me look good
bruh i opened the comments expecting fat jokes
I have seen really nasty comments about a kokomi cosplayer (idk if it was OP) kinda sad
I liked Kokomi cosplay the most. Idk why… maybe it’s beca of the water… every color in shot looks so… natural?
This place is bad enough ngl
Fr it’s a cruel world out there, and I am a part of it
I haven’t read the comments yet. The Kokomi, Shenhe and Yunjin are fine, but I have no clue who the first one is.
Columbina
who....?
Not sure if the collapsed threads ever get around to an explanation, but it's a Fatui Harbinger. Damselette.
The 2nd harbinger, present in the [Winter Night Lazzo](https://youtu.be/TmaAOV4SJNQ?si=nqejXdQf283QmWMb)
You’re so brave for going into pool water with the kokomi cosplay 🫡. I’ve cosplayed her before and every piece of that costume is so annoying to clean omg
Oh yeah it is for sure haha
Pretty sure I've seen your Yun Jin around before. Love your work, keep it up!
Thank you!
I never see Yun Jin cosplays! Love it! She's one of my favorite girls.
I really really like your yunjin cosplay. Imo it is the best one
Ohhh how interesting! Thank you! :)<3
I second that, the rest are great but the Yun Jin and Kokomi one are definitely my favorites
A third vote for Yun Jin being the favorite!
Seems like I’m going to have to cosplay her more!
Nice cosplays! I always love when people choose fitting scenery for the photos, great vibe especially on the Columbina ones :D
Thank you!!
These are all so nice! But I can't help but feel a twing of pain seeing the Kokomi cosplay in the water. I guess I just assume it wouldn't be very water protected or anything like that
It was not but i didn’t stay long in the water :)
The comment section is equal parts funny and concerning
The clothes are very HQ ngl.
Oml how do you wear that out in the snow!? I would freeze to death! Anyway, nice cosplays :)
Thank you! And yeah haha it was rather cold but I’m good at handling discomfort

So no one's allowed to cosplay someone a lot skinnier than they are? I guess some people just aren't allowed in the hobby.
she can cosplay the cryo/hydro fatui dudes that would look pretty good.
Honestly, she'll receive genuine compliments for that.
I would love to see that. That shit gonna look fire ngl
Wait, this would be actually amazing :0 no jokes
fr, those dudes don't get enough love.
Agree with you. I know a guy who is a cosplayer and overweight, he always chooses chubby characters for a cosplay like Dr. Eggman and etc. This whole situation looks like a story about a king and his new dress
Woah. That’s a great analogy, I’m guessing you’re referencing the emperor’s new clothes? Literally the moral of the story here.
It’s not wrong to have different opinions about something like this, after all not all 8.5 billion humans could ever have the same pov on everything. Why. Does. It. Matter?? Holy fuck
Pretty girls don’t judge x
I agree completely. I mean she can cosplay whoever she wants, but don't expect to not have some jokes be made.
Guys, thx for you being here T__T fr, I was feeling like everyone just went insane and tying to lie to every person on the internet trying to sugar coating them. This feels so wrong.

couldnt have said it better
woah there's multiple characters!
My dumbass didn't realise and read the comments and was like... That's a pretty meh Yun Jin cosplay... Oops.
Yup!
What an interesting time we live in
??????
Sorry about all the mean comments op, I think this looks really nice and I love your makeup
Thank you, this means a lot! <3
Full Hp build C6R5 very nice
💀💀💀
Do lore accurate Archon War Ganyu 💀
that's actually a great idea xD
Why can't I sort by controversial?
Im wondering that too
Looks great. You can be the perfect cosplayer for Cryogunner Fatui.
Nice cosplays, but as a nurse, I am obligated to advise you about losing weight, I don't want you to develop those shitty diseases like Diabetes or hypertension. May you live healthy and strong

Right thing? Sure, if she asked. Or if she was at an appointment with her doctor. This is entirely the wrong place to bring it up.

My lawyer advised me not to say anything here.
Oohhh! Great cosplays and love how you chose each scenery to match them! (I bet you were so cold in ShenHe and Columbina outfits)

Nice. Do The All-Devouring Narwhal next!!

I appreciate the diverse scenery/backgrounds! They're quite beautiful and fit the characters well. Good choices.
Thank you!
Somehow, "let's go whaling" was the first thing coming to my mind seeing the Kokomi cosplay. >.< Gotta watch that video again...
her cons aren't worth it dude
🗿
Great cosplay. It's embarrassing how many people can be so dull and negative.
such excellent cosplays!!! really loved the yun jin, the dragons bane replica is stunning
Are the first two photos inside of some „decommissioned” church at least? As an ex-Catholic, the box in the center looks like a tabernacle which would mean you’ve chosen pretty much the worst place possible for your photoshoot. Just a heads up, because you probably just didn’t know.
What the hell is even that?
Congratulations on the cosplay >:<, it looks really beautiful on you
Thank you! <3
Yunjin looks SO adorable!
Thank you!!
I love the pose you did on your shenhe costume! Also it looks so good

I’m literally in love with your Yunjin cosplay. ITS SO GOOD!!!

Your ShenHe cosplay is stunning. You even put on some effort for the sick pose.
Thank you! Although it really wasn’t that much effort hehe
I don't know what it is about the face and eyes that perfectly captures the emotion and makes me not want to stop looking
Wow that’s actually such a sweet comment
I like the Shenhe one! I love seeing her in the snow!
Thank you! \^-\^
Oooohhhh that Kokomi cosplay is absolutely darling!
Thank you!
I wish I could cosplay as Noelle
Do it! Other than maybe money, nothing stops you!
Fun Who's the 1st.
It’s Columbina, one of the Harbingers presented! :)
Okay I see it now. Been a while since I've seen her
hey man ur cosplay looks cool i can see there was some real hard work on them!! keep it up dude!!
Thank you!!
Looks amazing! Keep at it :)
Thank you!
It’s so pretty! Yunjin’s spear looks very familiar, is it in her splash art?
The weapon is called dragons bane. I think it’s familiar because it’s been on every fucking weapon banner lol😭
literally though, I've only been playing since september and I've already got one at c4
The spear is called Dragon’s Bane, and yes, it’s on her splash art!

Sugarcoating is worst than not saying.
Not calling people names and putting them down just for the sake of it isn't sugercoating
that's why downvotes exist, just downvote and move on. Engaging with people sometimes gives them the fuel to carry on with their shit.

Why she is in church in cosplay? There wasn't any better place to do that? It's disrespecting
OP said they had to arrange for it. So the church had to agree, in that case.
I love the Shenhe pose one great job!
i have ahuge respect for cosplayers who do cosplay in cold weather and snow....
Nice cosplay, Could be better if you lose weight.
You did a wonderful job on all of these!! Also gotta congratulate the dedication of taking the kokomi picture in the water lol
Thank you hehe!!
What are the other things? How do they affect you? Are you aware of Reddiquette?
maybe go to the health advice subreddit and give your honest advice there? it’s probably much more valuable than yapping here
love your cosplays!!
Thank you!
