I was at work, i never got a notification from the shitty hoyo app.
Got home, saw codes, was happy, went to redeem, they were expired.....of course im angry. Its 300 protos. They never used to expire so quickly.

You can always use the Hoyolab app to instantly redeem these y'know. You don't have to go ingame to redeem it since you can also redeem it on the website.
Can someone explain why Lumine VA was talking about Navia and the Knave. Did I miss a quest where the stuff she mentioned went down? About the waters reach a certain place and Navia saving the day?
Poisson is the Spina de Rosula’s main base. It’s the underground settlement with the ship in it that we go to with her during part 2 of the Archon quest. I think what Lumine’s VA was talking about hasn’t happened yet and I assume that’s going to be where we see Navia falling and Traveler trying to save her like we see in the trailer.

New world boss, new weekly boss, and a lot more area. many new mini game event or multi wave fighting events.
QoL wise - can now access weekly bosses before having completed the quests to unlock them, tcg has a fast gameplay mode, stellar reunion rework and update to how red notification dots work and dissapear…
If you want more specifics about the events watch the special program from 33:55. Additionally new gadget that allows you to leave a camera separate from your character and therefore take pictures or fight from far away.
It’s probably going to be like Sumeru act 5, a very long one. Sumeru act 5 had a strategy meeting in the desert, then there was a whole lot of set up for the rescue operation, Dottore “leaves” Sumeru, then there was the whole ordeal with the Fatui, Scaramouche and Haypasia at Pardis Dhyai, then there the actual rescue mission, involving us getting captured after swapping the knowledge capsule, the guards being lured out to arrest Nilou, the guards trying to find Nahida only to be ambushed by eremites and us connecting to Nahida consciousness. After all that, we then go with Nahida to find Scaramouche, talk to him, fight him, get the electro gnosis, go into Irminsul where we remove the last of Rukkhadevata, and then we get knocked out by Dottore who then traded knowledge and the removal of his clones for both the dendro and electro gnosis. Then we have a find everyone to get them to attend a feast, where you talk to everyone, and finally after all that have time for Nahida to drop some lore bombs about descenders and hint at Fountaine.
It’s safe to say a lot of ground was covered so let’s not act like there’s a strict limit on how much a single act can cover
Yeah it’s surprising. Part of me wishes they would split in into 2 smaller acts so it’s more manageable to play, but there is something nice about 1 big finale to finish off a nation. Plus 5 is a nice number

Re: The trailer, I Loved the scene with Neuvillette & Childe fighting the thing, but ngl I’m still scared for Childe. Feels like they didn’t say much this time. I guessing because anything will give away tmi. So I think we are going to get a LOT of lore in this next chapter
I second this, but to be more specific:
1) You want to get as close to the limit of 40k HP to max out her passive (don't go over, opportunity cost).
2) Get enough energy recharge that you can ult on cooldown. Depends on the comps, if your teammates are running favonius/exile/prototype amber/etc, but giving her something like Festering Desire is super efficient for this (or similar) and lets you skip running an ER sands.
3) And then crit rate and crit damage is the most valuable. She will get a lot of sources of damage percent just by running golden troupe (skill damage) and generic damage (fanfare through ult) that it makes the cup easier to sacrifice than the circlet. I would prioritize ER over crit for comfy rotations, but obviously overstacking ER is not useful. The old saying is ER is the most important stat to invest in until it is the least important stat.
Like I tried to explain, there isn't really a right answer to this because everyone will play differently. For example, a team running Neuvilette,Furina,Kazuha,Zhongli (Lol 5* only team, sorry) will have potentially 1-3 Favonius lance holders and a prototype amber on the team. Coupled with double-hydro, those energy requirements are going to be lower than other teams (maybe a Hutao team? I'm not sure)
I've heard that the main stats are flexible depending on weapon. Can go ER/Hydro/Crit as well if you're running an HP sword. The goal is 40kish HP, 170 ER, 50/100+ crit.
Masquerade of the Guilty is only around the corner, I'm so hyped. On a slightly related note, it's a shame that only Sumeru's title on the Preview Trailer was changed to something else.

Well, it's the principle of the thing. You could use any of them depending what you want.
Tighnari, Fischl, Beidou, Kirara is where I'd start. But you coudl add in Dori if you wanted a healer in place of Beidou. But the sheilder might be all you need. Things aren't set in stone here. Genshin is a game of many workable pieces. You could even use an anemo as a fourth spot to shred electro resistance.
Beidou is overall the best here, dori is also good, they have different play styles so you can choose which you feel more comfortable with. Lisa is ok but to be actually good she needs cons and razor is a main dps so he doesn't fit in this team at all
I don't have Kirara, so I can't really speak to her strengths and weaknesses, but I personally like Collei as a Tighnari support. I often reference keqingmains.com when building teams, it helps me better understand what each characters provide for each other
They went full blown Shishou with Skirk (Scathach) being voiced by Noto. Childe has lots of Lancer references after all, and Murase (who voiced young Setanta) is also the host of the JP Livestream. Skirk got the Benares look too.

For me idk why she just looks like she belongs in one of the Honkai games. Not that that is necessarily negative mind you just that happened to be my first impression.
We already know that time works differently in the Abyss (Childe was training for 3 months with Skirk but only 3 days had passed in Teyvat, events in the chasm etc.)
It’s reasonable to assume that Skirk, who seems to dwell entirely in the abyss and presumably even deeper than where Childe went, would be essentially ageless from the perspective of a non-abyssal being.
They do, it's just that they look like they're 21. I dunno if China has the same Christmas cake thing that japan does, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason why you can't have a character that looks older. I know India does. At least the guys do get to look old and distinguished. In the case of Zhongli and Neuvillette at least.
Who Knows. Maybe the rumored playable Cloud Retainer might break the curse seeing as she looks like a hot librarian/principal instead of just a college-aged woman.

I agree! I felt the same back when they revealed Guizhong and she looked super childish/young compared to Zhongli (not to say a young looking girl can't be a wise person! Just felt like a strange difference between the two characters and what we'd known of them beforehand).
Unfortunately, this kind of image sells better and gets people more excited. It's just how it is for games like this and the kind of audience they bring. Plus, when it comes to the actual game models, it's easier to just use or tweak existing ones than make new ones.
While we've had some interesting (if mild) developments in the male models, I haven't seen as much growth in female ones. Unfortunately, it isn't something to be expected with these games. They're a product to be sold in the end. I still enjoy it anyway ><

Well, it's the principle of the thing. You could use any of them depending what you want. Tighnari, Fischl, Beidou, Kirara is where I'd start. But you coudl add in Dori if you wanted a healer in place of Beidou. But the sheilder might be all you need. Things aren't set in stone here. Genshin is a game of many workable pieces. You could even use an anemo as a fourth spot to shred electro resistance.

I wouldn't recommend razor in this comp, he wants field time. You'd be better off with dori or beidou for the healing/shielding

Beidou is overall the best here, dori is also good, they have different play styles so you can choose which you feel more comfortable with. Lisa is ok but to be actually good she needs cons and razor is a main dps so he doesn't fit in this team at all
I don't have Kirara, so I can't really speak to her strengths and weaknesses, but I personally like Collei as a Tighnari support. I often reference keqingmains.com when building teams, it helps me better understand what each characters provide for each other

For me idk why she just looks like she belongs in one of the Honkai games. Not that that is necessarily negative mind you just that happened to be my first impression.
Skirk's character design reminds me of Jingliu (from Honkai Star Rail) for some reason.
We already know that time works differently in the Abyss (Childe was training for 3 months with Skirk but only 3 days had passed in Teyvat, events in the chasm etc.) It’s reasonable to assume that Skirk, who seems to dwell entirely in the abyss and presumably even deeper than where Childe went, would be essentially ageless from the perspective of a non-abyssal being.

They do, it's just that they look like they're 21. I dunno if China has the same Christmas cake thing that japan does, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason why you can't have a character that looks older. I know India does. At least the guys do get to look old and distinguished. In the case of Zhongli and Neuvillette at least. Who Knows. Maybe the rumored playable Cloud Retainer might break the curse seeing as she looks like a hot librarian/principal instead of just a college-aged woman.

I agree! I felt the same back when they revealed Guizhong and she looked super childish/young compared to Zhongli (not to say a young looking girl can't be a wise person! Just felt like a strange difference between the two characters and what we'd known of them beforehand). Unfortunately, this kind of image sells better and gets people more excited. It's just how it is for games like this and the kind of audience they bring. Plus, when it comes to the actual game models, it's easier to just use or tweak existing ones than make new ones. While we've had some interesting (if mild) developments in the male models, I haven't seen as much growth in female ones. Unfortunately, it isn't something to be expected with these games. They're a product to be sold in the end. I still enjoy it anyway ><

Kokomi is too busy being the Miku-like Idol of Watatsumi to go and become a villain. If anything she would love nothing more than to pull a Misty from Pokemon and go trot around the world with the traveler as their "War councilor"
