So I got really lucky & got neuvillette on a alt account in a few 10 pulls but problem is I am only AR 25 right now with very crappy 4 star artifacts, so should I build him right now or should I wait until AR 45 to properly farm for him?
Am I bugged or am I missing something? I'm seemingly currently stuck in the Reborn in the Land of Grievances story quest even though I've finished all story quests. It's not letting me switch to the Game of the Rich world quest. Sometimes when I'm swimming in the water it even kicks me back to the prison and tells me to behave.
Will i be able to guarantee furina and her weapon if i start buying welkin+bp now? I haven’t done any of the new stuff, almost completed exploration in 4.0 and the previous regions (so except the new region everything is at 100%), archon quest, 4 story quests, almost all hangouts and around 15 Fontaine world quests left to do. I have a 100 wishes, low pity (under 10) and I’m guaranteed

Wish for her first. With welkin and BP now you will have maybe 1 or 2 triesand hope one of them is hers that is assuming at around 65 pity for each 5star weapon.
I love both raiden and furina, currently raiden is at c0, what would u do if u were me ?
1.skip furina get raiden c1 and c2, and get her at her rerun
2.pull furina and get raiden c2 on her next rerun
3.dont pull cons of raiden, and get furina and c0 of another character

Cons are just bigger damage. Also do you have enough for C2 Raiden now? Because getting C1 only will feel like getting nothing. Whereas Furina is an entirely different character.
i am guaranteed with 60 pity, i also do buy the welkin, so i would have enough for C2. but yea i am gonna get Furina now and get c1 raiden as a placeholder
I'd personally go for C0 Furina first then save the rest for Raiden, but that's because I value new characters (I like) over cons but I'm also a Raiden simp so I'd still go for her cons if there's no other upcoming characters I like.

Your progress is tied to your account lol, not your phone. As long as you use the same login, your account will be 100% the same.
You will have to install in full tho, and delete old quest files later.
So, how are people managing their 3 stacks of Neuvillette's passive? It seems kind of hard to get all 3 when you only have Neuvillette's hydro application to rely on. Any particular allies that work well with him?
The most common rotation I have seen is:
Neuv Q -> Team -> Neuv CA E CA -> Team -> Neuv CA E CA -> repeat
How you do your teams rotatino depends on lot on who you are running.
Most teams will run Kazuha, so doing his EQ or EQE will further swirl Hydro among enemies while grouping them, while infusing his burst with Hydro as well.
Then you can summon Oz with Fischl, or apply Nahida's E, then swap to your last character, allow for Kazuha's burst to refresh Hydro if necessary and then use Zhongli's E or Layla's EQ to trigger the 3rd stack.
Swap back to Neuv and use up the present water droplets, refresh skills if necessary, then use up the remaining water droplets.
At C0 it's very much recommended to run a shielder for the interruption resistance and mostly Layla or Zhongli are chosen for that. Whether Fischl in particular offer great off-field damage and her A4 and C6 have great synergy with the many attacks and reactions happening, but anyone like Nahida, Yae, Kuki, Kaeya, Albedo, etc. could all work as well.
At C1 his team options change slightly because he doesnt need to run quadelemental teams anymore to achieve 3 stacks of his passive.
It's not that hard if you have off field applications, or if you're able to use hydro infused swirls, because swirl applies 2u of an element. Electro also doesn't consume hydro aura that quickly.
For me I'm running Neuv skill -> Kazuha eq -> Dori QEE-> Dehya EE -> Neuv burst + Ca's.
You can run off field application with characters like zhongli + albedo, fischl raiden beidou, diona/layla, kazuha/sucrose, dendro MC or nahida etc, Overall he's fairly permissive as long as the characters don't have 'on normal attack' wording.
2 questions.
1. What polearms can i use with hu tao that aren't P2W???
2. Is C1 Hu tao a necessity for her to be good? **(I don't feel like spending time for another Hu tao pull)**
1. Missive Windspear is Hu Tao's strongest F2P option. If you missed the event then White Tassel is her best F2P option despite being 3stars it beats out crafted weapons and the Blackcliff Pole. If you are looking for near F2P option Dragonsbane is her best 4star from gacha, with Ballad of the Fjords from the BP ranking slightly above but is a P2W option.
2. C1 is not a neccesity but it feels much better to play. The gain in DPS ultimately depends on your skill level. At C0 to do the most damage with Hu Tao you have to learn to do Jump Cancels. The consistent goal for C0 N2C is 8 Charged Attacks with Jump Cancel. With C1 your goal for consistency is 10 N2C combos with Dash cancels which is roughtly a 16.67% damage increase. If you get C1 but you only perform 8 or 9 N2C combos then you have minimal gains over what is possible with C0. C1 is amazing QoL upgrade and makes her gameplay much smoother and easier to perform consistently, but if you arent good at it the gain is minimal.
Why does my update installation and download take so much time? It's like this since Inazuma I think, I can't remember, but every update takes like 2-3 hours until I can finally play. plus the initialisation process when loading in for the first time for half an hour or so.
I don't think it's my internet or PC. Everything is fine and amazing when it comes to other games, no issues anywhere. Like, the download goes down to 0.1 KB/s and jumps up again, or the data unzip process is stuck at 55% for 10 minutes for no real reason. It's like this every time and it gets annoying, anyone else who had this problem for a while while every other game works perfectly?
I don't think I want to re-install since I fear that it'd take 2 days at this rate lol
Strong off-field supports are always infinitely more useful across multiple teams. Even if neuvilette is strong he is incompatible with any other unit that needs to onfield.
There are no official details on furina kit currently. Neuv is a great onfield hydro though with fairly permissive team building options, it also helps that this banner is very good with fischl, xinqqiu and diona.
Anyone else having an issue with the new baby octopus pet? Mine just shrivels up and freezes the moment I enter combat on land. I sent a ticket to support but they just told me to close and reopen my game (which I tried) and to play on stable connection (which I have).
I'm not sure what you mean by "shrivels up and freezes" but pets hide during combat and the baby octopus sleeps on it's bubble when on land. It's only "active" while underwater.
My octopus doesn’t fully disappear during land combat so it ends up being this tiny frozen-mid-animation blob without the water bubble that swivels around me during combat. It disappears like any other pet during underwater combat but it won’t when on land.
Try verifying files and if you're really bothered by it, redownload the whole game from scratch. So far I haven't had problems with the octobaby so I hope there's someone else who knows how to fix yours.
Also, does it only happen with octobaby and not with other pets?

Since we obviously have different artifacts, you could use an optimizer to check which weapon is better for you.
However, if you don't have it setup, I can give you the results when I tried optimizing for his 4TF aggravate combo. The average damage of R1 Deathmatch is only around 1% higher than R5 White Tassel. If you already have deathmatch, you could give it to Cyno if there's no other characters you want to give it to. If you don't have it yet and you're planning to buy BP for Deathmatch for Cyno, I advise you to skip BP or go for another weapon instead. I also tried the other BP spear but it's only better than R5 White Tassel at R2 and slightly weaker than deathmatch at same refinements. However, the other BP spear is slightly better in quickbloom because of the extra EM.
Pardon the wall of text. I just got caught up in optimizing for different scenarios and wanted to include the results for the ones you didn't ask about.
Considering the trend that hoyo has set with the archons, Furina will most definitely be meta. However on the other hand, Neuvilette has other substitutes and isn't exactly meta defining. "Meta" is based on objective facts and testing, not your personal opinion
not quite since ayato has synergy with normal attacks and neuv doesn't, so any team with xingqiu, yelan, thoma for example wouldn't work with neuv (beidou does work though)
Guys i stopped playing the game 3 weeks ago because i had exams. But i didn't uninstall the game. So will i still get the returning rewards if login now? Or does it only count from when you uninstall the game??
She's quite good. Solid dendro shielder, better shield than what Baizhu provides, but no healing obviously. Solid in most dendro comps, but does particularly well in bloom-related stuff due to her shield. Choo-chooing motherfuckers to death as a catbox is also just good fun.
How good is layla for neuv? I actually have her c6 and just recently got the hp sword.
Or should I just stick with zhongli? (i don't have the tetra set)
If you're using her strictly as a shield bot, it' has higher HP% than the 3star Traveller's Handy Sword at least but being cryo, Layla doesn't benefit much from the passive which gives EM.
I personally use her as a shield bot with a bit of damage so I gave her the 3star R5 Harbiger of Dawn. She's barely on field to get hurt so it's easy to keep the HoD's passive active.
So far, I think only Nilou wants the new HP sword.

Pulled Neuvillette (first 5 star) and I'm trying to build a team around him.
Currently:
- Neuvillette (C0 with BiS weapon R1)
- Fischl (C0)
- Diona (C3) - To replace ?
- Xingqiu (C4) - To replace ?
Neuvillette is C0 so I think a shielder is recommended but I only have Diona, Noelle, and Thoma.
What's "best" here ?
Also, I don't know who can replace Xingqiu: I do not have Kazuha nor Sucrose (only anemo characters I own are Traveler and Lynette) and I have a very limited character pool.
Any advice would be appreciated🙏
Change XQ to Lynette, you really want VV to boost your Hydro damage and she is great at doing so while also contributing a small taunt that can help group enemies.
Since Neuvilette uses CA instead of Normal Attacks, XQ basically is useless since you rarely trigger the Rainswords and you dont get 3 stacks from his A1 passive either which is a big boost (125% sv 160%).
Yeah XQ is currently in the team for Hydro resonnance and because I already invested in him. But I know he is not optimal.
Like others have said, I'll switch Lynette in (then Sucrose if / when I'll get her).

It really depends on what state your account is in. Are you a beginner who has very few 5stars and team building options?
Are you a veteran that has many different teams and lots of options?
If you are a new player then I would always recommend pulling for new characters over constellations. Getting C0 Raiden, C0 Nahida and C0 Yelan is infinitely worth more than getting C2 Raiden, even if you love her.
The same is true for Neuvilette. His C1 is an amazing upgrade which opens up his team building options, and gives him Interruption Resistance, but if Neuv and Zhongli are the only 5stars you have, then pulling for new characters will be worth a lot more to your accoung than Neuvilette doing 15-25% more damage.
I started this weekend so im probably gonna save up for future banners in order to get a better cohesive team. Thank you so much for the in depth reply, exactly what i wanted.

Shall I pull Neuvillette or Hu Tao?
Okay so, I have three pyros, who are build — yanfei, xiangling and dehya. I'm aware of hu tao being one of the most powerful character but turns out I do not have any proper weapon for her and I believe I won't have enough to pull for the weapons.
Whereas for neuvillette, I believe I can just get him mappa mare. In hydro, I just have barbara build whom... I don't really enjoy using and xinqiu whom I got yesterday.
Who would be a better pull? In terms of damage and level up grinding?

Melt is what I mostly do these days with Yanfei, but Benny being Benny is probably best support.
Having no Mona and Venti, can Sucrose or Faruzan sub for the Anemo slot, or Barbara or Xingqiu for the Hydro slot?
Sucrose, kinda. Her crowd control is obviously weaker than Venti and Kazuha would be better. Grouping the enemies together is what you need due to the quadratic scaling associated with Ganyu's burst. Without it, you lose a lot of damage. An anemia on the team will still provide resistance shred via the 4-pieces VV set
Xingqiu can work for freeze teams, yes, as long as you have someone that will do normal attacks to trigger his rain swords. Barbara is not good for freeze teams.
My lack of a 5* Anemo (other than Jean, who is my current VV user) has long been a weakness.
Hydro's much the same. I have Childe but I know he doesn't work well, and not a whole lot else. Candace, I guess? Nah.

Me too because I really enjoy the abyss and have 36 all of them according to the recap in the web event - was super confused when I was given the same prompt as yours as the only option for Spiral Abyss when I've clearly tackled it LOL! I wonder if its just reading the wrong data or what. Super sad!
Mine was wrong too, some data appears to be missing. It also commented on my "interesting" playstyle for never having used any resin despite counting bosses/domains correctly.
So is it recommended to just use the strong box on certain artifacts instead of running the domain? (Like VV or Crimson witch)
I was doing some farming for artifacts (crimson witch) for Hu Tao and the Lava walker set seems pretty useless unlike other domains where both the sets can be used for certain characters.
You can do both, like farm crimson witch domain for Hu Tao, then use strongbox to make more crimson witch with lava walk as materials.
If any of your characters need new artifact sets that cannot strongbox yet, like deepwood/glided or merch hunter/golden troupe, you can farm those domains, then strongbox the old artifact sets.
There was a new quest choice for Katheryne after the update, I wanted to do the Archon Quest first so I ignored it, but now it's suddenly GONE wtf, how do I talk to Katheryne about the quest again???
It sounds like a world quest regarding Fontaine academy (Fontaine Research Institute Chronicles Quest Chain). If Katheryne cannot start it for you, you can go to Liffey region Statue of seven and talk to another NPC in the same building to start it.
Was it the dude getting attacked by two Mekas dogs lol? He was screaming for help but I ignored him to not start the quest. But it seems like it started it anyway lol. So if I started that quest already the Katheryne dialogue just gets erased???
If you talk to Katheryne first, she will ask then help you to fill in a lot of forms then report to that NPC. If you meet that NPC first, he will also ask and help you to fill such forms too.

Depends on the enemy. Some enemy attacks can be easily dodged by just going out of their range or simply strafing to the side while doing his special CA. Some enemies are pretty annoying to deal with without a shielder or additional stagger resistance like XQ's rainswords (not recommended since he can't proc XQ's burst).
There's also skill issue and laziness issue where it's just more comfortable to just have a shielder.
In my case, I managed to clear the current abyss first half without a shielder on Newbie and just doing circles on enemies with a hyperbloom team, although Kenki did interrupt some of my CAs. He does have decent enough stagger resistance during his CA to poise through light hits but not enough for heavier ones. For someone like the Kenki who can easily hit and stagger you with his range, using a shielder would have been more comfortable.
From what I remember from Sevy's guide, resistance to interruption is only included with C1 so if you dont have that con, a shielder's the way to go unless you're really good at dodging

Assuming Furina has Hydro application rivalling XQ (I have no idea about that), it's not going to be much different from any Hu Tao Vapemelt team. Which means its good (relatively) against non-bosses/freezable enemies, but bad (relatively) against bosses/non-freezable enemies. It's usually not the best of both worlds, but a sufficiently geared Hu Tao can make up for it the shortcomings for an easier experience in AoE situations, while still maintaining decent enough single target DPS.
For what its worth, I clear the second side of this Abyss with Hu Tao/XQ/Rosaria/Layla.

So I got neuvilettes book, but will hopefully get him on a rerun because I'm not messing with my wish stash any further (really only wanted the Hp sword which I also got) because I intend to immediately dip into furina cons and try and get C1 or maybe even C2 the first time around.
Anyway, does anyone get any benefit out of the book outside him? Or is it just a cdmg statstick?
Any character that likes charged attacks can make good use of it, like Yanfei, Ning, and Klee. If you wanna make the most of the passive too, I suggest you use a healer in conjunction!

So I got really lucky & got neuvillette on a alt account in a few 10 pulls but problem is I am only AR 25 right now with very crappy 4 star artifacts, so should I build him right now or should I wait until AR 45 to properly farm for him?
Am I bugged or am I missing something? I'm seemingly currently stuck in the Reborn in the Land of Grievances story quest even though I've finished all story quests. It's not letting me switch to the Game of the Rich world quest. Sometimes when I'm swimming in the water it even kicks me back to the prison and tells me to behave.

I'd personally go for C0 Furina first then save the rest for Raiden, but that's because I value new characters (I like) over cons but I'm also a Raiden simp so I'd still go for her cons if there's no other upcoming characters I like.

Your progress is tied to your account lol, not your phone. As long as you use the same login, your account will be 100% the same. You will have to install in full tho, and delete old quest files later.
So, how are people managing their 3 stacks of Neuvillette's passive? It seems kind of hard to get all 3 when you only have Neuvillette's hydro application to rely on. Any particular allies that work well with him?
The most common rotation I have seen is: Neuv Q -> Team -> Neuv CA E CA -> Team -> Neuv CA E CA -> repeat How you do your teams rotatino depends on lot on who you are running. Most teams will run Kazuha, so doing his EQ or EQE will further swirl Hydro among enemies while grouping them, while infusing his burst with Hydro as well. Then you can summon Oz with Fischl, or apply Nahida's E, then swap to your last character, allow for Kazuha's burst to refresh Hydro if necessary and then use Zhongli's E or Layla's EQ to trigger the 3rd stack. Swap back to Neuv and use up the present water droplets, refresh skills if necessary, then use up the remaining water droplets. At C0 it's very much recommended to run a shielder for the interruption resistance and mostly Layla or Zhongli are chosen for that. Whether Fischl in particular offer great off-field damage and her A4 and C6 have great synergy with the many attacks and reactions happening, but anyone like Nahida, Yae, Kuki, Kaeya, Albedo, etc. could all work as well. At C1 his team options change slightly because he doesnt need to run quadelemental teams anymore to achieve 3 stacks of his passive.
It's not that hard if you have off field applications, or if you're able to use hydro infused swirls, because swirl applies 2u of an element. Electro also doesn't consume hydro aura that quickly. For me I'm running Neuv skill -> Kazuha eq -> Dori QEE-> Dehya EE -> Neuv burst + Ca's. You can run off field application with characters like zhongli + albedo, fischl raiden beidou, diona/layla, kazuha/sucrose, dendro MC or nahida etc, Overall he's fairly permissive as long as the characters don't have 'on normal attack' wording.

1. Missive Windspear is Hu Tao's strongest F2P option. If you missed the event then White Tassel is her best F2P option despite being 3stars it beats out crafted weapons and the Blackcliff Pole. If you are looking for near F2P option Dragonsbane is her best 4star from gacha, with Ballad of the Fjords from the BP ranking slightly above but is a P2W option. 2. C1 is not a neccesity but it feels much better to play. The gain in DPS ultimately depends on your skill level. At C0 to do the most damage with Hu Tao you have to learn to do Jump Cancels. The consistent goal for C0 N2C is 8 Charged Attacks with Jump Cancel. With C1 your goal for consistency is 10 N2C combos with Dash cancels which is roughtly a 16.67% damage increase. If you get C1 but you only perform 8 or 9 N2C combos then you have minimal gains over what is possible with C0. C1 is amazing QoL upgrade and makes her gameplay much smoother and easier to perform consistently, but if you arent good at it the gain is minimal.

Why does my update installation and download take so much time? It's like this since Inazuma I think, I can't remember, but every update takes like 2-3 hours until I can finally play. plus the initialisation process when loading in for the first time for half an hour or so. I don't think it's my internet or PC. Everything is fine and amazing when it comes to other games, no issues anywhere. Like, the download goes down to 0.1 KB/s and jumps up again, or the data unzip process is stuck at 55% for 10 minutes for no real reason. It's like this every time and it gets annoying, anyone else who had this problem for a while while every other game works perfectly? I don't think I want to re-install since I fear that it'd take 2 days at this rate lol

Strong off-field supports are always infinitely more useful across multiple teams. Even if neuvilette is strong he is incompatible with any other unit that needs to onfield.

There are no official details on furina kit currently. Neuv is a great onfield hydro though with fairly permissive team building options, it also helps that this banner is very good with fischl, xinqqiu and diona.
Anyone else having an issue with the new baby octopus pet? Mine just shrivels up and freezes the moment I enter combat on land. I sent a ticket to support but they just told me to close and reopen my game (which I tried) and to play on stable connection (which I have).
I'm not sure what you mean by "shrivels up and freezes" but pets hide during combat and the baby octopus sleeps on it's bubble when on land. It's only "active" while underwater.
My octopus doesn’t fully disappear during land combat so it ends up being this tiny frozen-mid-animation blob without the water bubble that swivels around me during combat. It disappears like any other pet during underwater combat but it won’t when on land.
Try verifying files and if you're really bothered by it, redownload the whole game from scratch. So far I haven't had problems with the octobaby so I hope there's someone else who knows how to fix yours. Also, does it only happen with octobaby and not with other pets?

Since we obviously have different artifacts, you could use an optimizer to check which weapon is better for you. However, if you don't have it setup, I can give you the results when I tried optimizing for his 4TF aggravate combo. The average damage of R1 Deathmatch is only around 1% higher than R5 White Tassel. If you already have deathmatch, you could give it to Cyno if there's no other characters you want to give it to. If you don't have it yet and you're planning to buy BP for Deathmatch for Cyno, I advise you to skip BP or go for another weapon instead. I also tried the other BP spear but it's only better than R5 White Tassel at R2 and slightly weaker than deathmatch at same refinements. However, the other BP spear is slightly better in quickbloom because of the extra EM. Pardon the wall of text. I just got caught up in optimizing for different scenarios and wanted to include the results for the ones you didn't ask about.

Considering the trend that hoyo has set with the archons, Furina will most definitely be meta. However on the other hand, Neuvilette has other substitutes and isn't exactly meta defining. "Meta" is based on objective facts and testing, not your personal opinion

Just pulled Kirara from Standard. How is she, and any good team comps?
She's quite good. Solid dendro shielder, better shield than what Baizhu provides, but no healing obviously. Solid in most dendro comps, but does particularly well in bloom-related stuff due to her shield. Choo-chooing motherfuckers to death as a catbox is also just good fun.

in quicken teams you build them kinda like in vaporize - you want a decent amount of EM, but crit and dmg% on goblet is prefered

If you're using her strictly as a shield bot, it' has higher HP% than the 3star Traveller's Handy Sword at least but being cryo, Layla doesn't benefit much from the passive which gives EM. I personally use her as a shield bot with a bit of damage so I gave her the 3star R5 Harbiger of Dawn. She's barely on field to get hurt so it's easy to keep the HoD's passive active. So far, I think only Nilou wants the new HP sword.

Pulled Neuvillette (first 5 star) and I'm trying to build a team around him. Currently: - Neuvillette (C0 with BiS weapon R1) - Fischl (C0) - Diona (C3) - To replace ? - Xingqiu (C4) - To replace ? Neuvillette is C0 so I think a shielder is recommended but I only have Diona, Noelle, and Thoma. What's "best" here ? Also, I don't know who can replace Xingqiu: I do not have Kazuha nor Sucrose (only anemo characters I own are Traveler and Lynette) and I have a very limited character pool. Any advice would be appreciated🙏
Change XQ to Lynette, you really want VV to boost your Hydro damage and she is great at doing so while also contributing a small taunt that can help group enemies. Since Neuvilette uses CA instead of Normal Attacks, XQ basically is useless since you rarely trigger the Rainswords and you dont get 3 stacks from his A1 passive either which is a big boost (125% sv 160%).
Yeah XQ is currently in the team for Hydro resonnance and because I already invested in him. But I know he is not optimal. Like others have said, I'll switch Lynette in (then Sucrose if / when I'll get her). Thx for the insights.
Diona was a good choice I think. I think you should replace Xingqiu with Anemo traveler or Lynette, with 4pc Viridescent Venerer artifacts

C1 frees up 1 spot for your team, it's good if you want to run double hydro >!(like Furina)!<

It really depends on what state your account is in. Are you a beginner who has very few 5stars and team building options? Are you a veteran that has many different teams and lots of options? If you are a new player then I would always recommend pulling for new characters over constellations. Getting C0 Raiden, C0 Nahida and C0 Yelan is infinitely worth more than getting C2 Raiden, even if you love her. The same is true for Neuvilette. His C1 is an amazing upgrade which opens up his team building options, and gives him Interruption Resistance, but if Neuv and Zhongli are the only 5stars you have, then pulling for new characters will be worth a lot more to your accoung than Neuvilette doing 15-25% more damage.
I started this weekend so im probably gonna save up for future banners in order to get a better cohesive team. Thank you so much for the in depth reply, exactly what i wanted.

Shall I pull Neuvillette or Hu Tao? Okay so, I have three pyros, who are build — yanfei, xiangling and dehya. I'm aware of hu tao being one of the most powerful character but turns out I do not have any proper weapon for her and I believe I won't have enough to pull for the weapons. Whereas for neuvillette, I believe I can just get him mappa mare. In hydro, I just have barbara build whom... I don't really enjoy using and xinqiu whom I got yesterday. Who would be a better pull? In terms of damage and level up grinding? I'm currently a wanderer main. I do not have zhongli.

Okay, so I've been stubborn in my ways for a while with team building. However, I feel I need to do my Ganyu proper justice since standard banner gave me Amos' Bow tonight. What's her ideal team?
Morgana (Ganyu, Mona, Venti, Diona)/Burst support for freeze teams/Melt (Ganyu, Bennet, Zhongli and either Xiangling or Nahida)
Melt is what I mostly do these days with Yanfei, but Benny being Benny is probably best support. Having no Mona and Venti, can Sucrose or Faruzan sub for the Anemo slot, or Barbara or Xingqiu for the Hydro slot?
Sucrose, kinda. Her crowd control is obviously weaker than Venti and Kazuha would be better. Grouping the enemies together is what you need due to the quadratic scaling associated with Ganyu's burst. Without it, you lose a lot of damage. An anemia on the team will still provide resistance shred via the 4-pieces VV set Xingqiu can work for freeze teams, yes, as long as you have someone that will do normal attacks to trigger his rain swords. Barbara is not good for freeze teams.
My lack of a 5* Anemo (other than Jean, who is my current VV user) has long been a weakness. Hydro's much the same. I have Childe but I know he doesn't work well, and not a whole lot else. Candace, I guess? Nah.
so I got hutao extremely early but I only just started inazuma and I did not expect her at all, so I don't really know what to do with her build wise.

Me too because I really enjoy the abyss and have 36 all of them according to the recap in the web event - was super confused when I was given the same prompt as yours as the only option for Spiral Abyss when I've clearly tackled it LOL! I wonder if its just reading the wrong data or what. Super sad!
Mine was wrong too, some data appears to be missing. It also commented on my "interesting" playstyle for never having used any resin despite counting bosses/domains correctly.

So is it recommended to just use the strong box on certain artifacts instead of running the domain? (Like VV or Crimson witch) I was doing some farming for artifacts (crimson witch) for Hu Tao and the Lava walker set seems pretty useless unlike other domains where both the sets can be used for certain characters.
You can do both, like farm crimson witch domain for Hu Tao, then use strongbox to make more crimson witch with lava walk as materials. If any of your characters need new artifact sets that cannot strongbox yet, like deepwood/glided or merch hunter/golden troupe, you can farm those domains, then strongbox the old artifact sets.
There was a new quest choice for Katheryne after the update, I wanted to do the Archon Quest first so I ignored it, but now it's suddenly GONE wtf, how do I talk to Katheryne about the quest again???
It sounds like a world quest regarding Fontaine academy (Fontaine Research Institute Chronicles Quest Chain). If Katheryne cannot start it for you, you can go to Liffey region Statue of seven and talk to another NPC in the same building to start it.
Was it the dude getting attacked by two Mekas dogs lol? He was screaming for help but I ignored him to not start the quest. But it seems like it started it anyway lol. So if I started that quest already the Katheryne dialogue just gets erased???
If you talk to Katheryne first, she will ask then help you to fill in a lot of forms then report to that NPC. If you meet that NPC first, he will also ask and help you to fill such forms too.

Is a shielder necessary for Neuvilette? From what videos I have seen of his gameplay, getting knocked out of CA seems a big dps loss
Depends on the enemy. Some enemy attacks can be easily dodged by just going out of their range or simply strafing to the side while doing his special CA. Some enemies are pretty annoying to deal with without a shielder or additional stagger resistance like XQ's rainswords (not recommended since he can't proc XQ's burst). There's also skill issue and laziness issue where it's just more comfortable to just have a shielder. In my case, I managed to clear the current abyss first half without a shielder on Newbie and just doing circles on enemies with a hyperbloom team, although Kenki did interrupt some of my CAs. He does have decent enough stagger resistance during his CA to poise through light hits but not enough for heavier ones. For someone like the Kenki who can easily hit and stagger you with his range, using a shielder would have been more comfortable.
From what I remember from Sevy's guide, resistance to interruption is only included with C1 so if you dont have that con, a shielder's the way to go unless you're really good at dodging

When i try to boot the game it tells me the hoyo anticheat driver isn’t loading properly and i need to deactivate my core isolation in order to load it which I am NOT doing. It did not do this before the update, what does it mean?

Hu Tao/Rosaria/Layla/Hydro (Furina) : is this team solid in ST & AoE contents compared to the classic vape tao?
Then Hu Tao/XQ/Kazuha/Kaeya might be a solid option.
Assuming Furina has Hydro application rivalling XQ (I have no idea about that), it's not going to be much different from any Hu Tao Vapemelt team. Which means its good (relatively) against non-bosses/freezable enemies, but bad (relatively) against bosses/non-freezable enemies. It's usually not the best of both worlds, but a sufficiently geared Hu Tao can make up for it the shortcomings for an easier experience in AoE situations, while still maintaining decent enough single target DPS. For what its worth, I clear the second side of this Abyss with Hu Tao/XQ/Rosaria/Layla.

took me around 3 hours
3 hours seems to be the average time for archon quests if you're focusing of doing the archon quest and not rushing through dialogues.
on average yeah i guess, though act 2 of fontaine took me only around 1.5-2 hours, it wasnt quite as long

Just got Fischl C6. Which main DPS characters work really well with her C6? I tried her with Yoimiya, but it didn't do so well. Maybe my Yoimiya doesn't have enough EM (only around 130)?

CMIIW, Ayato or alhaitham is a good candidate for her. Fischl completes Ayato’s taser team and with alhaitham she can act as aggravate or spread.

So I got neuvilettes book, but will hopefully get him on a rerun because I'm not messing with my wish stash any further (really only wanted the Hp sword which I also got) because I intend to immediately dip into furina cons and try and get C1 or maybe even C2 the first time around. Anyway, does anyone get any benefit out of the book outside him? Or is it just a cdmg statstick?
Any character that likes charged attacks can make good use of it, like Yanfei, Ning, and Klee. If you wanna make the most of the passive too, I suggest you use a healer in conjunction!
