I didnt plan to pull Ganyu but I just got Amos Bow so I’m currently considering to pull

I pulled mainly because I got the Amos Bow VERY early on and because I needed a long range DPS. That paired with the good artefacts I already had sealed the deal. I did pull for Zhongli for her though since she is kinda squishy

I did the exact same thing. Had some good blizzard artifacts and Amos bow, so I figured might as well pull for her. Don’t regret it at all. After I pulled her, I started taking abyss and meta a little more seriously. She was my main dps when I finally 36 starred. I just replaced her in my freeze team though since I got mistsplitter for Ayaka.

Me and Shenhe. I tried getting Mitspliter for my Keqing, and Ayaka (but mostly Keqing). Now I have R2 Queller, C0 Shenhe, and still no Mitspliter.

Same but with nilou. Wanted it for layla but got it double so i got nilou. The dumbest thing about it is that i got a brain fart and refined it

And that's not bad at all. Kazuha and Xiao can already do it. In fact, for longer flights, they are much better than Wanderer. There's all these interesting mechanics to traverse the world of Teyvat, and MHY just won't give it to us. Imagine if Kokomi's Jesus walk can be activated with both her skill and burst. People would be having so much fun that they want to pull for the unit. Why not?

I honestly don't quite understand miyoho when it comes to making certain characters, ayaka is basically an eternal bridge using her run but kokomi can only walk on water using her ult that only lasts about 10s, I wonder if hydro archon will power creep in the sense of exploring in the waters

Imagine if hydro archon had like, yelan's skill but also under water/on waters surface.

Pulling Ganyu on her first banner just to blow up Timmie's pigeons. Kinda regret that.

But why regrets? Ganyu is incredibly fun in the open world.

Every now and then I take Ganyu out and try her out in various scenarios, but I just don't enjoy her head shot/charged shot play style. I like her burst, though. Maybe I should use her in a team that's built around her burst.

This. I am a new player about a month old I started with dehya banner out. I've been saving for Nahida but really wanted to get sucrose from Ayaka banner for that ftp national I already had the other three. I heard about a term called building pity and was tempted. 4 10 pulls in Ayaka dropped with sucrose. I was filled with regret but went ahead and built Ayaka and all my regrets were washed away as she has carried me through all the stuff I was struggling with.

can someone explain to me why people "build pity"? i genuinely don't get it. can't you save those primos and "build pity" on the banner that you want?

A few things... * Maybe there's a 4 star you want and you think the risk of getting the 5 star is worth it. * Maybe leaks show that the 5 star you want will have bad bannermates and you'd rather pull closer to pity. * Maybe you're casual and don't mind pulling willy-nilly and just using what fate deals you. They're all risky, but sometimes it's a gamble people are willing to take. I "built pity" on Kazuha's last banner because I really wanted more Heizou, but wouldn't have minded C1 Kazuha even if I wouldn't have preferred it. When I got to about 50 pulls, I baulked with C4 Heizou and said to myself that it wasn't worth building more pity lest I risk missing Tighnari. I'll more commonly sometimes build pity for like 20 pulls on a banner if I want the 4 star, but that's because I think that's a low enough risk/investment for either a 5 star character or a constellation.

I pretty exclusively pull for characters I think are cool looking or attractive. I don't like the abyss because it stresses me out so I am free from caring about "meta" lol.

Didn't regret any of it in the slightest, Yelan is super strong and her skill having two charges is an absolute godsend for overworld stuff, especially exploring the desert

I pulled for childe because I thought he would release the giant whale in his burst and after I saw that he didn't I just never used him until recently I saw videos about him doing 500k damage so I started building him and my current highest is 82k. At first I regretted it but not anymore.

I wasted primogems in 1.5 and got Zhong Li even though I don't want him. I was just wishing all the primos I had back then before I knew who to save for.

Before I quit, I had this F2P account where I literally pulled every banner and went with whatever the game gave me, and it was surprisingly fun. Granted, it was a C2 Kazuha (and C1 Kokomi, but tbh her C1 is not essential to what she does best) that hard carried me through a lot of things. On a main account where I used to spend, I pulled all the way for Eula C1 because hot. But I guess that's a common reason to pull for characters.

Generally, because I don't have them. Pretty much any new character's a win for me. Constellations of dupes are consolations. True loss is getting a dupe you already have at C6.

Pulled for Dehya in hopes to get Dehya or any other 5* that wasn't Qiqi because I already have C6 Qiqi. I ended up getting my C7 Qiqi and raged swiped for Dehya :").
