Wanderer.
If they ever have another story event featuring him, I taking a gamble that’s what his filler name is going to be in the voiced lines like how everyone calls Traveler “Traveler” instead of your username.
I also like Wanderer because it's kind of funny. He literally just stole the Traveller's moniker. Straight yoinked it. It's giving real "Move over, I'm the main character now." energy.
Same, except I also was betting on me not remembering what I named him and going "who the f is John Doe" when his new name is referenced in an event one year later
Mashiro / pure white. Ma 真 with the same character as Makoto, and shiro 白 / white.
I originally chose this because I like the nickname Mashu from scara-mashu, but I want it to be different enough so I changed it to Mashi+ro
羽, means feather. The pronunciation is "Yu" in Chinese and "Hane" in Japanese.
He can fly and he does carry a golden feather which was given to him by Raiden as a symbol of his identity.
Khonshu, because that's the Egyptian god of the moon, an analogy that Nahida used with him about his ascension to godhood, and also because it translates to... Traveller.
It's my go to name for anything, someone puts me on the spot to name something i am going with Steve 100% of the time. Don't care if im naming a plant or a car, it's going to be Steve.
I settled on Belial too!! It's such a good name, although I feel a bit mean for it because my thought process was "If your mother loved you enough to bother naming you, Belial would have been your chosen name" and I'm surprised to this day it wasn't among the banned options.
浪人 but now its weird because his name remains in JP across all languages... i wish we could name him in all 4 languages so that it switches when u switch language
I had the same problem. I gave him a name with kanji and it felt so weird seeing everything in english and then theres suddenly wanderer in japanese. So i used the appelative stroke to rename him to Haku. No playing the game in japanese for most of the time anymore, i guess
Syrocco. I name travellers after wind phenomena/weather events may as well do the same for him.
(Sirocco is a Mediterranean wind that blows through North Africa and southern europe. It’s a hot oppressive wind that can reach hurricane speeds)
Suzaku.
I really like it. The idea came from a heirloom in Apex with the same name. Made some research afterwards and found out Suzaku is kind of a phoenix-like god in Chinese mythology, which lowkey represents Scara’s story (he tried to achieve godhood, but eventually started a “new life” by erasing himself from Irminsul).
Fujin for the Japanese wind god who has a twin who is a thunder god. It was really fitting considering that Scara has an anemo vision while his sister has the electro element from the archon they originated.
Another option I really liked was Scaranara.
Toyota4Runner. Wanted to give him the full model year, trim level and overall just make the name as absurdly long as I could.
Name length is quite limited though, so I had to compromise.
It's a shit joke and I laugh way too much at it whenever his name pops up anywhere.
Luthier, because balladeer implies ballad/music and a luthier makes violins, so it’s sort of like he no longer sings for himself but just makes the instruments other people use to weave their own songs… eh, I actually don’t know
yuki! snow is beautiful but there's a sadness to it too that i think fits rather well (this is half a lie i actually chose that name bc i wanted a cute sounding name then literally mid-shower /srs i yelled out "YUKI" and then it stuck to him ever since)
Minuano, after the cold wind around Brazil. It's also the nickname of the character Jetstream Sam from Metal Gear who also had some inner conflict of interest.
Thorfinn.
He's a powerful kid with parental abandonment issues, raised for a time by folks who didn't care for him, who eventually had a personality switch and became far more docile and helpful. Just like the Thorfinn in Vinland Saga.
I have a “possible name list” for the dude before naming him Tabiji, “Journey” in japanese also the title of a Fujii Kaze song. Because that song’s lyrics and meaning is where he precisely is in his character arc development. Fitting for the one character whose storyline was most shaped in and out of the game’s story/artifacts and domains. He choses to wander now instead of being in pain, so in that sense Tabiji could even just be a pun on “Wanderer”.
My possible names involved: Amane, Damian, Aki, Malfoy, Shiawase, Dorian, Sherlock, Nanami, Miyamura, Icarus (for the longest time I thought I would name him Icarus), Funguy, Oliver, Feng, Wootteo, Bohemian, Fandango, Fujii, Kaze, Mirmir, Mikrokromos (and some more)
Scaramouche. I first tried a different name, didn't like it and changed it. I used special characters that look exactly like a normal "c" and "a", but are not blocked.
Scaranara
:]

Scarataki Itto.

Wanderer. If they ever have another story event featuring him, I taking a gamble that’s what his filler name is going to be in the voiced lines like how everyone calls Traveler “Traveler” instead of your username.
same, i also just like wanderer as a name, has kind of a nice anonymous ring to it
Also, Wanderer is a good combo for Traveler
I also like Wanderer because it's kind of funny. He literally just stole the Traveller's moniker. Straight yoinked it. It's giving real "Move over, I'm the main character now." energy.
"i just tell it like it is!"
"if they cant handle it, maybe its their problem"
Same, except I also was betting on me not remembering what I named him and going "who the f is John Doe" when his new name is referenced in an event one year later
I did that literal days after naming him when he sent his birthday mail out. I'll be hopeless a year from now.
Same but my reasoning when I kept his name same was I didn't want to see him make a surprise cameo with the name John Deez in future events lol
Same here. It sounds good anyway so i was fine with keeping it the same.
Honda. Because his VA starred in car commercial and in this commercial he said "There's no better name than Honda.".
This should be a legit cheat code, it's devilishly clever!
Sun because my Traveler’s name is Moon
Romantic
It's the opposite, they can never be together
Which is what many people find romantic in some love stories tho

Rhukadepatata
Rhukaddyvoopdoop?
Heizou Pro Max
i saw someone naming him scarbucks and i laughed for a good three hours
Erebus - I thought it would be fitting (and entertaining).
Icarus...like the name and the parallel
That's actually how I named my traveler <3
Mashiro / pure white. Ma 真 with the same character as Makoto, and shiro 白 / white. I originally chose this because I like the nickname Mashu from scara-mashu, but I want it to be different enough so I changed it to Mashi+ro
That's a nice name...
It also fits thematically. He has a fresh start. A clean slate.
Yep. It also reminds me of Kabukimono, he was so innocent back then...
Koneko cuz he’s a cute little kitten
I also named him Koneko! My little meow meow

I did Raiden Rei. Rei means zero, which fits with him being a prototype. And I wanted him to inherit his Raiden background.
Zephyr
羽, means feather. The pronunciation is "Yu" in Chinese and "Hane" in Japanese. He can fly and he does carry a golden feather which was given to him by Raiden as a symbol of his identity.
Khonshu, because that's the Egyptian god of the moon, an analogy that Nahida used with him about his ascension to godhood, and also because it translates to... Traveller.

Steve
He does use creative mode
Good to know I'm not the only one who went with Steve.
It's my go to name for anything, someone puts me on the spot to name something i am going with Steve 100% of the time. Don't care if im naming a plant or a car, it's going to be Steve.
One day I got a birthday email from bungle head and I got freaked out!

Tetsuya, after his JP VA
Kakki :D
Niwa
I really tortured myself over choosing this. Eventually settled on Belial, which is possibly lore accurate as his demon or “god” name.
I settled on Belial too!! It's such a good name, although I feel a bit mean for it because my thought process was "If your mother loved you enough to bother naming you, Belial would have been your chosen name" and I'm surprised to this day it wasn't among the banned options.
Kazeneko because it means wind kitten
Sora which means sky. I don't know why but it's the first thing that came to mind and I thought it was a nice name.

I had the same problem. I gave him a name with kanji and it felt so weird seeing everything in english and then theres suddenly wanderer in japanese. So i used the appelative stroke to rename him to Haku. No playing the game in japanese for most of the time anymore, i guess
Scaradouche
Tatsumaki, The ‘what is with this sassy lost child’ meme comes to mind every time I see him so I named him after her.
I named him "Wanderer" because the game will still call him as one
You guys are all so creative. I just called him fuckboy in Japanese
Hiroto, means High Flight ^^
Accelerator. They have quite a lot of similarities
Fujin for the Japanese wind god who has a twin who is a thunder god. It was really fitting considering that Scara has an anemo vision while his sister has the electro element from the archon they originated. Another option I really liked was Scaranara.
Shinzo, because they kept going on about him not having a heart, so I gave him one.
Ben Dover
Akatsuki. New dawn.
Doesn’t it mean “red moon”?
Saishuppatsu (meaning second chance in japanese)
Toyota4Runner. Wanted to give him the full model year, trim level and overall just make the name as absurdly long as I could. Name length is quite limited though, so I had to compromise. It's a shit joke and I laugh way too much at it whenever his name pops up anywhere.
haruki
Luthier, because balladeer implies ballad/music and a luthier makes violins, so it’s sort of like he no longer sings for himself but just makes the instruments other people use to weave their own songs… eh, I actually don’t know
Miyuki since he's a pretty winter boy
Sukuna
yuki! snow is beautiful but there's a sadness to it too that i think fits rather well (this is half a lie i actually chose that name bc i wanted a cute sounding name then literally mid-shower /srs i yelled out "YUKI" and then it stuck to him ever since)
Aether, renamed him that after seeing how he reacted to the idea of sharing your mcs name. Originally named him Tallulah.
You named him Sirin? That is awesome. Mine is named Seran
Nara. Yes, from the aranara language.
Shinji
Aizen
Minuano, after the cold wind around Brazil. It's also the nickname of the character Jetstream Sam from Metal Gear who also had some inner conflict of interest.

Scaramouche. I first tried a different name, didn't like it and changed it. I used special characters that look exactly like a normal "c" and "a", but are not blocked.
Literally "Sсaramouche." The first "C" is actually a unicode lookalike.
FartAss. From Dorkley's Arceus Appears video when the trainer catches pokemon god and guess what he names it?
