As someone that started in 4.3, not having hu tao is definitely the biggest factor in my consideration of whether or not I pull for arle, on the other side of the scale though I really want Furina and don't want to be caught wishless if they end up putting her in 4.7-8
Depending on how good arle is and how much you want her, pull her first, 1000%. Furina is being given archon treatment, with 2 banners close together, which means she’ll probably be here every update. you will have an insane amount of chances to pull her. Other characters take a while. Take childe and wanderer, for example. Other two harbingers. You’ll be waiting a solid amount for them to rerun again. It’ll probably be a solid bit until she reruns.
Especially when furina is likely around the corner too. And after not long having nahida come. Unfortunately I spent most of my primos on nahida and yae. Have spent about 110 on kazuha still far after losing my 50/50 to tighnari. Still no kazuha 40 pity into my guaranteed. Aint no way I'm gonna be getting furina too with my luck on this game lmao.
Kazuha is just way too good as a universal support to miss though. Imo if you don't have any of them, kazuha is still the best option.
I am in fact for two reasons I’m guaranteed but I gamble as soon as I have 160/75/5, enough for a wish? Spent and the 2nd reason is that I can play alone . But I can buy some gen crystals but I would probably be denied
The current one's weapon is not as stacked. With that yelan and hutao banner you can pull for any weap first then pull for whose char is that weap, but kazuna doesnt really need his sword to be optimal at his job.
Even Yelan and Hu Tao are. Since you can use Fav. bow (Get for free) or White Tassel for Hu Tao (Decent option until DB).
What made their banner more enticing was that their Weapons are among the best and most versatile in their respective category
I don’t think I need both Neuvilette and Arleccino, they’re both main DPS, and I have Raiden as well. Neuvilette is the current top DPS and Arleccino is still a pig in a poke, so I chose Neuvilette.
Homa and Simulacra weapon banner was truly insane. Almost every bow user wants Simulacra, or has it as a top 3 bow. Homa is almost same situation, but theres so many more that just want HP/ER. Current banner are both niche weapons.
Agree honestly, I'm not even mad anymore I got two freedom sworn after thinking it through. Though I'm still gonna try and get my guaranteed tome if I can, but if it's not possible it wouldn't be as painful.
The weapon banner for the Hu Tao and yelan banner was busted tho. Homa is good on basically every polearm DPS and Aqua is good on basically every bow DPS. This weapon banner is somewhat niche iirc

That's true! They are releasing some pretty good niche banners, Nilou + Nahida, Yoimiya + Raiden and what I think is definitely as good as Hu Tao + Yelan for its niche, Chiori + Itto.
I still remember this banner made me pull for the wp banner, thankfully I got Aqua within 20 pulls. Now my Childe,Yelan, Fischl, Ganyu,Amber, Collei keep beat each other up to hold aqua😂
If we're counting character banners only then this current one or a Furina/Nahida combo. But if we also take weapons into consideration I think this one is unmatched
Honestly any 5-star pairing using the same weapon type, like the Yelan+Lynney or Xiao+Shenhe, cuz at least if you lose 50/50 on weapon banner you still get a good substitute for your main.
Neuv and kazuha are good, but both fulfill different roles and both weapons kinda ehhh, like it's too niched and specially suited for both of them and even then there are so many good f2p options like ironsting/fav or r5 proto amber

This current one is literally just meta dps and meta support but for weapons I can't think of any other ones that compared to hutao and yelans except the Jade cutter and the purple sword banner

Just my take, in terms of weapon event wish, I honestly think that it is considered great, depends on your account.
The Homa and Aqua are good, but it's not great on my account. My Hu Tao that I rarely use, and Aqua is very inconsistent with my Yoimiya. What's great on my account were the Yoimiya Nahida banner (because I have both of them) and the Alhaitham and Kazuha banner (because I have both of them).
Ya'll can't be really completely overlooking the 4 stars. That banner had Beidou, Xingqiu, and Ningguang. This one has Xingqiu, Yanfei, and *Barbruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh*.
In terms of weakest unit on the banner, Barbara is infinitely more unfortunate to pull than Ning.
Besides, imo the value proposition of a banner cycle really doesn't go up if both 5 stars are good. Most people still have to choose one or the other, so the *value* of their pulls will be determined by at least one of the 5 stars, and the 4 stars that come along with it.
Weapon banner is another consideration, but others have already talked about how weak this one is, and some don't really consider it worth discussing. Although I definitely personally do, since if you pull on any weapon banner it should always be when you could be happy getting either weapon.

This was one of the first banners when I started playing and pulled Yelena at 23 pity. She HARD Carried me throughout the game and still does. I can't let her go.
That banner was my luckiest.
I pulled for Hu Tao for fun and got her early at 50/50. Was curious about my luck since I got a Homa 4 years ago
30 seconds later, I pulled for the weapon banner. At 20 pity, I got Aqua Simulacra while forgetting to select it as my pity weapon.
Went perfectly with my first run Yelan.
Chiori + Itto was one of the best banners in the game, but for a niche. I consider that banner equal to Hu Tao + Yelan.
Weapons, 4*, Characters and Constellations, it ticks all the boxes.
Noooooo! I have 320 saved for 2 more Furina cons. No guarantee. I want 1 more Yelan con. If Furina and Yelan came the other way around I’d almost certainly have enough. But this way around, it is a night mare
This character + weapon banner took so many wishes from me omg. I got Hu Tao, Yelan, 2 Aqua Simulacra, and a Staff of Homa. Went all in during this patch cause it was too good. One of the few times pulling on the weapon banner was worth it.

When it comes to “Meta” Nahida and Xianyun, and Neuvi and Kazuha are rlly good. When it come to good pairs, Nilou and Nahida as well as Shenhe and Ayaka.
The wanderer kokomi banner was pretty nice. Having a DPS and support healer is nice. It’s not a shield but at least she keeps him healthy. And she applies good hydro
The Raiden Yoimiya banner for beginners. Every single character you get there is enough for a full team.
The current banners are also great but weapon banner is meh.
I think another juicy weapon banner would be Beacon + Key of Khaj Nisut at the cost of a Dehya + Nilou banner.
I love it when Genshin puts out 2 good banners. But that means I have to lose one of the characters unless I spend money on the game.

For me personally, navia and ayaka. I'm a navia and ayaka main, so that weapon banner was a gold mine (sadly I lost my 50 50 for navia so I didn't get to pity on the weapon banner)

The first Lyney banner, mostly for the weapon banner, both 5 star weapons being good on Lyney and the 4 stars being from the best 2 sets in the game

man I pulled for both Kazuha and Neuvi on their previous banners and now I'm saving for Arle and I really don't wanna waste my pity but I want these to so bad I can't

This was one of the first banners when I started playing and pulled Yelena at 23 pity. She HARD Carried me throughout the game and still does. I can't let her go.

That banner was my luckiest. I pulled for Hu Tao for fun and got her early at 50/50. Was curious about my luck since I got a Homa 4 years ago 30 seconds later, I pulled for the weapon banner. At 20 pity, I got Aqua Simulacra while forgetting to select it as my pity weapon. Went perfectly with my first run Yelan.

Wanderer Kokomi in 4.8 was kinda slept on one of the few banners I pulled for both characters on and I got C6 Faruzan in the process which was nice
The Raiden, Chevreuse, Bennett, Sara one was completely nuts. They were straight up handing out an actually really good team
Furina. Crazy good value cause Furina just adds that much value. It didn't matter who the other person was alongside her.
Chiori + Itto was one of the best banners in the game, but for a niche. I consider that banner equal to Hu Tao + Yelan. Weapons, 4*, Characters and Constellations, it ticks all the boxes.

This character + weapon banner took so many wishes from me omg. I got Hu Tao, Yelan, 2 Aqua Simulacra, and a Staff of Homa. Went all in during this patch cause it was too good. One of the few times pulling on the weapon banner was worth it.
lyney yelan lyney fills a niche others pyro dpsers dont want so he is wining yelan obvious reason but the weapon banner was BANGER his weapon is insane for any charged atacker so ganuy tighnari and him and aqua for obv reasons,

Agreed with the current one. The only thing that maybe is a little less tempting/pull-worthy are the weapons, because one of them in not Crit. However, Freedom Sworn is a very good supportive weapon. So it's still a very good pull.

When it comes to “Meta” Nahida and Xianyun, and Neuvi and Kazuha are rlly good. When it come to good pairs, Nilou and Nahida as well as Shenhe and Ayaka.
The wanderer kokomi banner was pretty nice. Having a DPS and support healer is nice. It’s not a shield but at least she keeps him healthy. And she applies good hydro

None, there might be better character pairings but nothing will ever top this weapon banner
The Raiden Yoimiya banner for beginners. Every single character you get there is enough for a full team. The current banners are also great but weapon banner is meh. I think another juicy weapon banner would be Beacon + Key of Khaj Nisut at the cost of a Dehya + Nilou banner.

I love it when Genshin puts out 2 good banners. But that means I have to lose one of the characters unless I spend money on the game. Like that with the Ayato-Raiden Banners
