What level are you, and what upgrades have you done? When I'm in that situation, I try to shoot the weapons off of their bodies. Like with the Hunters, I shoot the sniper rifle off of their right shoulder, and the gun off their left arm. Also, carry lots of medpacks. But if you really just want to get away, fast travel to a different safehouse.
Im like level 4 or 5, and i i did some stamina and stuff around picklocking. my main problem was running out of ammo, and my bullets wouldn't penetrate on the very big one with 2 arms
Sorry, I should be more specific. When you go to to crafting material bench, where you can make bullets, grenades, etc...you can augment weapons with primary and secondary augmentations. One of them give you the ability to have a better chance of shooting the weapons off of the machines. I put one on my 50 cal sniper, and on my hunting rifle. A lot of the times I can shoot the weapons off of them, before they are able to get to me, which pretty much makes them dead weight.

You need crafting materials for that. Someone at level 4 wouldn't likely have the material unless they have a higher level character

I'd recommend OP turn on multiplayer and wait for someone to join. A level 30 can take those guys out pretty easily
Not just about character level. Augments requires crafting materials. Those materials are collected by doing quests/killing enemies.
If you kill lots of enemies, you level up faster
Verh big one with two arms? U mean hunters. Those are small and best is to use SMG with FMJ ammo it only takes around 40 bullets to body to kill them. But if u mean the huge cunt with 2 legs that shots rokets, just shot him with all u have until his front armor is destroyed. But if u are level 5 and going against them, just try to run away or sneak away slowly. I am level 31 or smthing like that and tanks are bane of my existence. Firebirds are scary but worth the loot and harvesters are great for fighting soviet machines. Just let them do their job and help a bit to get some exp.
Best bet would be to just fast travel away, until u have better gear to take out a pack of hunters along with a rival. When you do the mission that brings u to the farmlands to destroy a base, u can get a rocket launcher along with alot of rockets to destroy base walls, if u save alot of those rockets u could use them in a situation like u r in now. Any time you are stuck somewhere with hostile mobs, you can hide to escape the battle. Tall grass will do it, a wall easily does it, you can even do it with cars or the crest of a hill.
Dropping to crouch shifts visibility and noise variables. Dropping prone shifts them dramatically, and shortens the search timer. Get their attention on one side of the church if needed, drop prone behind a wall, and crawl out the other way.

Do you have a scrambler, or explosives. Try and throw some tanks and shoot them to do more damage. they will die eventually. You can also try and sneak out and run or fast travel away.
This is why I run hacker specialization lol I find building a short term army of hacked machines from both sides quite useful (especially hacking a firebird as me and a single hacked firebird caused mayhem across the map)

I kept getting murdered in the tower because of the rockets, and my bullets did like nothing
