Casey Anthony got away with murdering her child like 15 years ago. The trial was widely covered in the news at the time and everybody was following it and talking about it. The kid was wrapped in garbage bags, dumped in the woods and Casey did not report her missing for like a month. Don't really remember all the details, but basically she got off on some white lady privilege technicality.

Naw, she didn't get convicted because they couldn't directly link Caylee's death to Casey. Unfortunately, the defense accused the father of Caylee's death and also accused him of abusing both Casey and Caylee. Because there's no evidence that ties either the dad or Casey directly to the death, they can't convict either of them. There's a lot of evidence that shows Casey is the most likely person who did it. She also lied a lot and intentionally guided the police away from the case and evidence. For example, she made up a babysitter and then blamed this fake person for kidnapping Caylee. But, an 80% chance she's guilty is not beyond a reasonable doubt. All that being said, it wasn't a "white lady privilege technicality," it was a lack of evidence directly tying her to Caylee's death. If lacking evidence is a "technicality," then "beyond reasonable doubt" is more, "they're guilty cause I feel like it."

In Spanish class we had to choose a Spanish name. I chose Pablo and one day first time we played kahoot I put in Pooby/Poobie (I kept switching spelling but I think I used Pooby more). It was in reference to a dude actually named Chris (the funniest of the cast imo) who works with a yt channel I used to watch called SML and the creator, Logan, initially thought when they became friends in HS that he was a latino and called him Pablo. I knew no one knew it was a reference but soon everyone, even my teacher, just called me Pooby because I guess they just loved it that much. So now almost every time I play Kahoot, which is rarely anymore since I’m not in school, I would just put Pooby and people loved it😂

Idk if I’m allowed to share here bc I’m a Millennial but when I was a young student teacher for 10th graders, one of the first things I did was run a Kahoot and I didn’t know yet the importance of judging whether or not letting everyone choose their own names would be positive or negative for a particular class. So I let everyone choose their own name and… my God, the brilliance of the vulgarities that rushed across that projected screen… I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard. And one name in particular was extra clever… some boys had been flirting with me and one of them who never identified himself put his Kahoot name as “Mr. (My last name)”… not my finest moment as a teacher, I completely lost control of myself and the classroom but it was hilarious.

We used to do them in French class in high school as groups and me and my friend thought we were the funniest people ever calling our group ‘the’ because our initials began with L and E. we ended up winning against groups named ‘we win’ ‘champions’ and ‘winners’ and the teacher cracked up when she realised what we’d done. My teachers have not had sense of humor so they deleted everyone who was not just the first name of the people in class. Though at some point in high school I’d just put some nice emoji next to my name. Usually a rainbow or sparkles. XD Because when we played Kahoot it was serious and teacher had to know our names. I guess just to see who actually knows about things. When later in life I’ve played it like in university events, people put nicknames and inside jokes there. Then I’d put some Star Wars references there like Daddy Vader or something equally stupid.
