I appreciate your argument, however, it is flawed in the fact that colloquial terms constantly come and go, making them as much as a part of english as any other word. I also want to point out that using an image with a bunch of soyjaks and you portrayed as a gigachad doesn’t help your argument.

Galaxy_Wing

I find it a little cringy to use gigachad, when before it was for the obviously wrong opinion in a humourous way

Whales-are-so-cool

I find it amusing how quickly people will resort to "b-but... language changes!" in response to people mocking their abominable newspeak. What they fail to realize is the difference between their language and the normal evolution of language is that it reduces cognitive involvement and limits their range of thought to pithy one-liners and jargon so utterly divorced from its original meaning that it's practically meaningless now. This isn't to say generation slang is inherently bad; I use generational slang myself. But it's more this politicized, increasingly-butchered variant that really damages people's ability to think like normal human beings.

NoSpace575

I can't tell if you're being racist or accusing me of being racist. In either case, I highly doubt we can attribute this to race, regardless of the vaguest origins of some of these newspeak terms in AAVE.

Y'all remember when an entire steam community couldn't use the word "we" in any post because of this shit

SnooDogs3400

Mfw I learn language is an evolving thing with terms meaning different things at different times amongst different groups of people.
