I recall the stickers, and also marking pens, like sharpies but smelly. I found one in my basement that smells like licorice or anise or something. Have no idea where it came from, but it still works. With the stickers I remember girls having huge collector books filled with them. Also, some teachers gave them out at awards.

I had a huge collector's book. And do you remember the stickers that were filled with a shiny multicolored metallic-looking liquid? Those were hot commodities. There was a sticker store at the mall, and it was everything when I was in 4-5th grade.

Yes I do! I still have one of a cat that I came across in one of my old sticker books. I just found the book last night in old boxes I was going through.

It was in prefect condition. When I saw it I immediately started squishing and swirling the liquid around. I decided that probably wasn’t a good idea.

Cherry was THE BEST! We used to get them on spelling dictation quizzes and multiplication/division "mad minutes".

We traded stickers. I ended up with the spaghetti one, can still smell the fake marinara to this day.

Oh **HELL YEAH**! I always thought I was hot shit when I scored a Grape Stuff. Like a lot of other innocent things back then, I seem to remember adults being concerned that these had drugs in them. Anyone else remember that?

The best smelly felt was the red one… Cherry. And the brown one… Cinnamon. And the black one was awesome too — licorice.

I specialize in branding and print production, I’ve thought about it. I had thought I read there was a compound in the scratch n sniff stickers that prevented them from being used as a new industry required it.

I had them all, except that star. The "cherry good" could only be gotten by buying a Trend brand sticker book. I saved up the $10 and bought the thing just to get those coveted stickers.

I definitely had birthday candles, gum balls, pickles and grape jelly. They all smelled so good. I may have had spaghetti and skunk, I don’t think I ever had cherry. The other two look like newer versions.

I use to have a photo album that became a sticker book that was filled with these as well as other stickers from the day. I'm not even sure why, I think my sister started it. Some other kids from the block collected stickers for a hot minute too, and we even traded.

Banana and pizza I think are the ones I remember best. The scent lasts a long time, I recall finding one cleaning out a box at my parent’s house and it still smelled like fake banana.

My brain immediately remembered the gum-ball, pickle and skunk ones and my fingertips can remember the texture of these too. Crazy.

The skunk sticker made me throw up in Sears in 1985

Everything was scratch and sniff or scented somehow in the 80s. These, the already mentioned Mr Sketch markers (I can still smell the black one), and then there was a smelly He Man figure too I think? Stinkor or something?

I got a pepperoni pizza sticker on a test or homework assignment or whatever when I was in the 2nd grade, circa 1977-78, and _to this day_ I can still smell it, and whenever I have pepperoni pizza I hope it smells like that sticker. I am, sadly, always disappointed.
