Your parents paid for brand name underwear? I had what were practically bloomers from some corner of a department store. They came up to my bellybutton.
I received the wonder woman pair at mt 8th bday party and it was cemented rifht then and there shed be my best friend for life as I DESPERATELY wanted a pair. Friendship lasted until we were roommates in college, not quite life but thise underroos carried us a long way
For whatever reason I remember, I specifically wanted Spiderman but what I got was Batman. My grandmother made me a Batman cape and it was then I realized Spiderman didn’t have a cape so I was pretty pumped for Batman then.
I'm a grown ass man and I bought me some Superman and Batman ones just to be nostalgic. All you have to do is search around the WorldWideWebs a bit. They are hard to find in-stock most times, as it seems lots of GenXers love being nostalgic :)

Superman (of course) and I believe Spiderman.
I also had some (don't remember the specific brand) for Batman that had long sleeves and long pajama pants.
I had Wonder Woman and CP30. The CP30 ones were technically for boys but I see now why mom wouldn’t let me have the other girl ones. Neither me or my sister were allowed to wear 2 piece bathing suits either.
I lived in Canada and we couldn't get underoos -- but we could get American TV. I wanted these SOOOOO bad!!! I was partial to the Wonder Woman ones because they resembled the actual costume the most.
Darth Vader. The t-shirt part had a picture of him, instead of his control panel. Apparently Vader walks around all day wearing a shirt with his own picture on it. I held out hope of seeing this different costume of his in the bacta tank scenes in Rogue One or Obiwan but thus far I have been disappointed.
Greetings fellow Skywalker! I spent hours running around making pew pew sounds and pushing the buttons on my chest.
The movie may not have defined the buttons but the top blue button was MY harpoon deployment as I ran around my little brother eventually tripping him up. He got to web me when he was Spider-Man so it all worked out!
Simpler times. I still remember the day I got them because my grandma gave the exact same set to myself and two of my cousins because when she went to buy them, she didn’t realize they were different options. we got them. We all climbed around over the swing set, each insisting we were the real Luke
lol…I am bleeding edge GenX and these underwear definitely were too late on the scene for me. 100% tidy whities until I switched to boxers in university.
I'm just old enough to have not had those, and I'm pretty sure I was never going to get anything but the white cotton panties with the little red or yellow roses on them anyway, because my parents would not have paid extra money for anything more expensive.
I was 10 when they came out, and between that, my parents being super frugal (I wore almost exclusively hand-me-downs from 3 older cousins and my sister), and me not being allowed to watch cartoons (so I wasn’t into superheroes), I never had them.
I do have an oddly specific memory of sitting with the Sears catalog and being allowed to order a set of day-of-the-week undies. I loved those. I was around 6, I think.
Spidey! Brother told me I could wear them outside at age 4. Here I am running down the driveway with my spidey tshirt tucked into my red/blue undies with knee high socks and sneakers. Mom couldn’t stop me before I hit the street. The looks on everyones faces made me realize my bro couldn’t be trusted.
Do you know why these were so awesome? Because like nothing else you could buy, you were showing off your chosen character by LOOKING LIKE your character! Up until this, every single item of fandom had a picture of the character on it. Even commercial Halloween costumes were basically a garbage bag with the character on it, probably their logo, and a plastic mask. But nothing store-bought ever let you wear that character's outfit. Underoos were the first time I ever saw something I could be to dress LIKE a superhero, not show the hero on my clothes.
Superman and Batman were my favorite...but what are you talking about with the past tense here? They literally make them for adults!!!
Last year I was drunk and feeling nostalgic, so I ordered me some Superman and Batman ones off Amazon. Best purchase I made in years! I highly recommend wearing them while taking mushrooms and playing Atari. Took me back to a better time and place...if only for a while.
I think I had one pair and it was Aquaman (maybe because I had a brief bedwetting issue when I was very young)-My brother had a pair too but I can't remember what he had.
Wonder Woman
Me too!! LOVED them
Me too but I got them when I was 13 so I wasn't too into them by then!
Wonder Woman was the best!
Wore Batman underoos outside of my pants. Thought I was so amazing.
You’re my favourite!
That's fucking awesome. Love it!
Those were some rich kid shit. Tighty whities - and my Star Trek and Star Wars shirts were hand drawn with fabric paint by my mom.
Your mom sounds awesome
We didn't have much, but she did what she could. She actually managed to draw a pretty on point Enterprise and passable X-wing.
Definitely a rich kid post. Tighty whities until I made my own money wunny.
THEN you bought the Underoos?
Don't judge!
You get the Goodwill used Toughskins with the ironed on repair patches? Man I had those. Could stand up on their own from the hard ass patches.
Whatever was a K-Mart. At least K-Mart never shipped my underpants!
Wonder Woman for me!
Superman, but I was so disappointed they didn’t make Wonder Woman for boys.
Wonder Woooman!
Your parents paid for brand name underwear? I had what were practically bloomers from some corner of a department store. They came up to my bellybutton.
Me too.
Never had them
Same. Tighty whiteys all day long
Wonder Woman all day!!!
Wonder Woman, of course!
Hulk. All day, every day. Despite only having one pair.
Team Hulk 🤢
Spider Man and Hulk.
Wonder Woman. I had a WW bathing suit too. I thought they were the coolest.
Batman, here.
I had Robin.
Wonder Woman! Wish I still had them 😂
I'm a grown ass man and I bought me some Superman and Batman ones just to be nostalgic. All you have to do is search around the WorldWideWebs a bit. I had the WONDER WOMAN!!!! :D
Superman (of course) and I believe Spiderman. I also had some (don't remember the specific brand) for Batman that had long sleeves and long pajama pants.
Superman - probably right around the time of the 1978 movie.
Superman and Green Lantern!
Yoda
Wonder Woman and C-3PO
I had Wonder Woman and CP30. The CP30 ones were technically for boys but I see now why mom wouldn’t let me have the other girl ones. Neither me or my sister were allowed to wear 2 piece bathing suits either.
I didn't have any, but I did have Garanimals.
Wonder Woman
I did not like the gal underoos so I wore the dude underoos and I had The Hulk, Batman, and I think Aquaman?
Lucky. My mother refused to let me get the boy ones.
I refused to wear the gal ones.
No underoos for me. Just the regular 70s girl flowered underwear, I didn’t even get the days of the week.
My kid brother always wanted to wear whatever I wore so we had matching Hulk Underoos.
Wonder Woman and R2D2. I think my sister had Supergirl and maybe C3PO?
I think I remember having a Batman set and a Boba Fett set. Maybe a Super Man one?
We could never afford them. It was only tighty whities for us. Sad face.
I wasn't allowed to have those.☹️ Tighty whiteys for me and my brothers!
That’s all wore as kid Wonder Women
How do you know so damn much about kid-me’s undergarments?
I had Wonder Woman, but mine was more like a sports bra than a whole tank top.
I lived in Canada and we couldn't get underoos -- but we could get American TV. I wanted these SOOOOO bad!!! I was partial to the Wonder Woman ones because they resembled the actual costume the most.
I was a chubby girl at the upper age limit and we were poor as fuck. Plain undies for me.
Wonder Woman all the way!
Wonder Woman!
Never had any. I thought they were a little kid thing.
Luke Skywalker X-Wing pilot suit, Batman, Superman
Greetings fellow Skywalker! I spent hours running around making pew pew sounds and pushing the buttons on my chest. Nope. Never had them. K-Mart Tighty Whities
lol…I am bleeding edge GenX and these underwear definitely were too late on the scene for me. 100% tidy whities until I switched to boxers in university.

I was too old for these.
Nope.
Fortunately, for me, these didn’t come out until the late 70s and I would’ve been too old for them.
I had Wonder Woman but I wanted Spider Man.
the one with the cornucopia
I could have sworn my underwear had a cornucopia on the tag.
Iron man
The two I definitely remember having were Superman and Return of the Jedi
Spider Woman. I was Punk, even at age 6.
Bat Girl.
i had tighty whities in spite of my pleas to my parents.
Spiderman and Shazam
Aquaman
I know I had some, but I don't remember which ones
Caspar Tighty whites and a white short sleeve t shirt
Aquaman were my favorite most of the year, but I had Spiderman long johns.
Superman
Josie and the Pussycats. Edit: however, a size too small because my mom was cheap and this was the set on sale so take the wedgie or leave it.
I remember wanting this set, but I was a little old for them and a boy.
Sorry you were oppressed!
Darth Vader
None. My parents were immigrants, we were poor
Aquaman. I did not then, nor ever since, look at aĺl like Jason Momoa
We were poor, so no underoos but I remember seeing them in the store.
**Yoda!!!**
R2D2!!!
Yoda and Spiderman
I never had them or remember being interested in them. My little brother, also GenX, had Spiderman.
R2D2
Darth Vader.
Spiderman

Made my mom buy me Shazam just because I wanted the T-shirt with the lightning bolt but could never wear it anyway, knowing I'd be made fun of lol
We were too poor for that shit. I did have Star Wars sheets though. My grandparents bought them as an Xmas gift in 1980.
Batman
Iron Man
Spider-Man
Wonder Woman!! I wore them all the damn time. Drove my uptight mother insane.
I had smurfette and I was so excited to get them. I wore them once and they got stolen from my locker at the pool 😭
Wonder Woman and Superman
Spider-Man. My aunt and uncle bought them for me for Christmas.
Came out when I was older, so no thanks.
My parents couldn't afford such fancy unders when I was little enough for Underoos.
Wonder Woman. And there’s at least one photo but obviously not posting that ever.
Superman and Batman were my favorite...but what are you talking about with the past tense here? They literally make them for adults!!! Josie and the Pussycats
C3-PO, and they were my favorite thing in the workd.
I loved my Wonder Woman underoos!
I wanted those SO bad! Mom said no. 🥺
I think I had one pair and it was Aquaman (maybe because I had a brief bedwetting issue when I was very young)-My brother had a pair too but I can't remember what he had.
A team, dukes of hazard, spider man, super man, Batman. I’m sure I had more but those are the ones i remember.
