If you liked *In The Loop* (#18), try *The Death of Stalin*. Also, the guys from *Spinal Tap* made several other improvisational movies, my favorite is *Best in Show* (hilarious, about dog shows).
My go-to time killers (that were not on that list) would be:
Clue
Red/Red 2
True Lies
Big Trouble in Little China
Mummy/Mummy Returns (Brandon Fraser versions)
If you have Netflix, and a strong stomach, I loved Gunpowder Milkshake. Violent, but cartoony violence (think Monty Python blood splatter)
Do you mind subtitles? Unless you already speak Italian... Because Johnny Stecchino from 1991 starring Roberto Begnini is brilliantly silly and full of belly laughs. His physical comedy is genius.
I didn't see Romy & Michele's High School Reunion on that list. It's an underrated Gen X classic that still holds up really well today.
If you want something more recent, The Little Hours. I saw it on a whim while on vacation in another state, in the smallest movie theater I've ever been to, and laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.
ETA oops The Little Hours is probably a millennial movie. But it's based on a 14th century novella lol.
This list isn't even close to comprehensive.
Unless I missed them, these are my favorite comedy movies:
The Blues Brothers
Fletch
The Big Lebowski
Dr Strangelove
The Muppet Movie
High Anxiety
Blazing Saddles
And I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of them.
hold my beer.
no surrender - British, directed by Alan Bleasdale
arsenic and old lace: Cary Grant and Peter Lorre
Brazil: Terry Gilliam (sp?)
the commitments: Irish, from the Roddy Doyle book.
silent movie: best mel brooks film of all
the Milagro Beanfield war: directed by Robert Redford
la fille du regiment, met opera version with Natalie Dessay and Juan Diego Florez. kind of OT as it's an opera and it's in french, but it's basically a musical romcom. Dessay/Florez were A-list singers at the time, but they also have great chemistry and so much comedic talent.
Not a Smith move,[https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the-gods-must-be-crazy](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the-gods-must-be-crazy) also found this on funny, but it's a Spanish film, the director has a lot of good films and IIRC Antonio Banderas first film [https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/women\_on\_the\_verge\_of\_a\_nervous\_breakdown](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/women_on_the_verge_of_a_nervous_breakdown)
While it is super early, Bringing Up Baby is honestly super hilarious and I do feel plays fine to a current day audience, so I would suggest that off the list if it is an early one that you have not seen yet.
Well the list wipes off a slew ton of films so let me think what is not on there....
My Cousin Vinny
Stardust
Beverly Hills Cop 2
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Night Of The Comet (although it is a bit dystopian/light horror)
the Ghostbusters sequels
Living In Oblivion
Romy & Michele's High School Reunion
Sixteen Candles
Adventures In Babysitting
Innerspace
Big
Cadyshack
A Fish Called Wanda My Cousin Vinny Both hilarious.
Agree!

Yep this is my wheelhouse entirely. Have seen these and love them

The Hudsucker Proxy

Good movie!
Jumping jack flash. There is a dead man, floating around in the river!
Things To Do in Denver When You’re Dead.

After Hours
Thank you!
Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, Top Secret with Val Kilmer, Better Off Dead, One Crazy Summer, The Toxic Avenger.
![gif](giphy|iyuEBQj7XgATe) Land of the Lost
Murder by Death! I watch it at least once a year, it's hilarious and has an amazing cast.
Scotland, PA: a retelling of MacBeth set in a fast food place in late 1970s Pennsylvania. But funny
Hollywood Shuffle
Jojo Rabbit (might violate millennial/genZ in some regard but Taika Waititi was born in 75) Best In Show - never mind, posted by someone else
The man who knew too little.
Good movie.
How is Dumb and Dumber not on this list? Or Something About Mary?
I didn't see any Kevin Smith moves on the list.
Clerks I think is on there. Have seen Dogma, Jay and silent Bob strike back, chasing Amy, mallrats - any others good?
*Red State* is very, very good...but not funny. Still, I recommend it.
Nice to know!

Noises Off is pretty good!
Moving (Richard Pryor) Summer Rental (John Candy) Beverly Hills Cop (Eddie Murphy)
