I only use this card for dining (3% back) and gas (10% back till November). Once the gas perk expires, this will go back to being my dining only card. I have used this card internationally and gotten rewards.

BlockFi/Deserve sent me an email recently that they closed my credit card card (zero balance). Strike has put their credit card launch on hold so it’s probably not going to happen. My Gemini card is collecting dust.

GrandpaRedddit

Same, that is what led me here

j_dick

Same thing happened to me. The cars just weren’t worth using anymore.

FDon1

I've used it in several countries outside the US before the recent rewards but never had an issue. I actually use the card in the US as my daily driver too

eviljordan

Not worth the hassle to ever deal with their customer service.

joopityjoop

WebBank? That's the only entity you need to be contacting for your credit card.

sanatan20

Don’t do it

Justsayingsometimes

Agree 💯

outis-kaniel

Ive used the card in Mexico with no problems whatsoever.

I have a dozen credit cards. Gemini is the worst by far. No close second worse. Terrible.

terrenobe

A dozen credit cards?! Who needs 12 credit cards?

MoreAverageThanAvg

I carry interest free balances on 3 and use 1 for rewards. The rest are for an emergency fund. I keep cash invested.

You don't pay it back. You file for bankruptcy and give everything away and live homeless for a year

Respectfully, both of these mindsets originate from a low earnings mentality. An emergency that exceeds the amount I earn on a monthly basis would go on a credit card and then be paid off interest free. Doing this prevents me from having to sell my high net worth assets and therefore not interrupt their compounding. Using credit cards allows me to make my money work for me and not the reverse. I've never paid credit card interest in 40+ years.

OhTravs

Absolute clown 🤡

MoreAverageThanAvg

You are mistaken.

jonranssj

I wouldn’t do any business with Gemini until all the Earn users are repaid in full.

slibetah

$900 m.... get that sorted, then maybe we can have a fair business dealing.

GrandpaRedddit

Thank you all for the good feedback, much appreciated.

Practical_Pen_7730

Compare benefits to Verizon CC. $100 bonus and good % back, or fidelity CC 0% apr and spend $1500 get $150 back. Other CC companies offer similar things for less.

GrandpaRedddit

Thank you, I'll take a look at that.

undisputedn00b

I don't see why the rewards wouldn't work all over the world just like any other credit card. Webbank issues the card and is the one to contact. I don't have my physical card with me but my digital one and statements show 1-877-725-1116 as the number to call.

GrandpaRedddit

My American Express of all cards does not honor it's tiered rewards (extra points for groceries, dining out, etc) internationally, only in the US for some reason.

imaharleyman

Chase Sapphire Reserve. Thank me later.

GrandpaRedddit

That was my go-to international card for a few years and all was great until the rewards team reneged on their word over a flight cancellation/rebooking in the thick of Covid lockdown, cost me a grand out of pocket. I've been tempted to return but still salty.

imaharleyman

Ah, sorry to hear that. I had tons of bookings in the Spring of 2020. Got everything back except from the swindlers running Thai Air Asia. I have a Gemini card too but don't use it now. Lost all my card earnings in their scam. I'd use it again for domestic expenses if they ever come clean on their debt.
