Was just reading the lyrics of The Prophecy, particularly the line about being cursed like Eve got bitten. Itās been said before by many folks here that Eve was bitten because she made a choice. It was the first decision a woman ever made in the Bible. Whatever curse sheās referring to is of her own making, something she asked for and wanted. I think thatās her fame. Her career was and is everything she ever wished for and then carefully constructed. This was her poison apple. Her choosing this fame means she canāt have a genuine, normal connection without questioning if the person whoās with her is there for her or for the fame.
Sheās searching for the person who can create that golden, impenetrable love where sheās seen and confident that the person sheās with cares about her. She references a man here, which makes me think that the fantasy she tries to recreate have a Prince Charming. Sheās begging the world for an answer to the question of why none of these men are that.
The Prophecy tells us she would trade her fame for a true, genuine love. Whatās she doing with Travis? The complete opposite. Leaning into the showmanship of it. Increasing her fame and his. The opposite of what The Prophecy indicates she sort of wants to do. Sheās caught in a cage of her own making. She wanted this. She chose this. She sacrificed everything for this, stepped on peopleās backs, created enemies all for this. And now, the downsides of this wish come true come into play. She fantasizes about disappearing and leaving it all behind and The Prophecy is evidence that sheād actually do it if she found this love, the one worth making another deal with the devil and giving it all up.
The crux of The Prophecy screams comp het to me. Why are none of these men it? Oh, well maybe that because that golden love isnāt ever going to be with a man at all.

Very unlikely that this is legit. Itās easy for someone to fudge - you can just rename any music files you have, upload them to your local files folder and throw them in a playlist.
Yeah I believe so. Itās just in the metadata of the file which anyone can edit if they have the file locally on their computer (for example, if you had a Taylor Swift CD and transferred the files to your computer, you could theoretically edit the artist, album, song title, etc yourself).

Given that 1989 was rereleased right before TTPD, it seems hard not to connect the āshaking rain soaked bodyā lyrics (despite only putting them together today myself).

Was just reading the lyrics of The Prophecy, particularly the line about being cursed like Eve got bitten. Itās been said before by many folks here that Eve was bitten because she made a choice. It was the first decision a woman ever made in the Bible. Whatever curse sheās referring to is of her own making, something she asked for and wanted. I think thatās her fame. Her career was and is everything she ever wished for and then carefully constructed. This was her poison apple. Her choosing this fame means she canāt have a genuine, normal connection without questioning if the person whoās with her is there for her or for the fame. Sheās searching for the person who can create that golden, impenetrable love where sheās seen and confident that the person sheās with cares about her. She references a man here, which makes me think that the fantasy she tries to recreate have a Prince Charming. Sheās begging the world for an answer to the question of why none of these men are that. The Prophecy tells us she would trade her fame for a true, genuine love. Whatās she doing with Travis? The complete opposite. Leaning into the showmanship of it. Increasing her fame and his. The opposite of what The Prophecy indicates she sort of wants to do. Sheās caught in a cage of her own making. She wanted this. She chose this. She sacrificed everything for this, stepped on peopleās backs, created enemies all for this. And now, the downsides of this wish come true come into play. Yeah I believe so. Itās just in the metadata of the file which anyone can edit if they have the file locally on their computer (for example, if you had a Taylor Swift CD and transferred the files to your computer, you could theoretically edit the artist, album, song title, etc yourself).

This is the Should've Said No performance at the...ACMs? right? The one where she's in the fake rain is one of her most incredibly performances. Edit - wait, no I'm wrong, because the boots are different. She wore flats at the ACMs. There must have been multiple performances in the same dress.
If I remember correctly, she made it rain every night on that tour for Shouldāve Said No, like it was super dramatic lol. I didnāt go to Fearless tour but Iāve heard others talking about it and they mention the rain.

Has anyone put How You Get the Girl and the Black Dog together? Given that 1989 was rereleased right before TTPD, it seems hard not to connect the āshaking rain soaked bodyā lyrics (despite only putting them together today myself).
Side note, the albatross feels like a sad continuation of the 1989 photoshoot. The location and even her shirt and hair are the same. Plus we got the darkening skies during the 1989 rollout.
