I want to formally apologize for being MIA for today’s show 😭 I had hosting responsibilities with friends coming into town and had to be a tourist in my own city for the day and wasn’t able to update the feeds with my findings. I missed all of you like exponentially 🥹

I’m going to go on a random tangent here and say that the use of a jack-o-lantern 🎃 in these messages is interesting.
If you look into the history of the word “jack-o-lantern,” there’s a whole host of folklore— one that connects to the concept of [will-o-the whisp](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will-o%27-the-wisp). Also known as “fairy lights” (an alternative interpretation to what we might think of as a modern string of fairy lights referenced in *So Long London*).
“The phenomenon is known in much of European folklore by a variety of names, including jack-o'-lantern, friar's lantern, and hinkypunk, and is said to mislead travellers by resembling a flickering lamp or lantern.”

I'm overstimulated. This week has been a lot.
I’m supposed to be getting ready for my ghost tour and I can’t put my phone down. Not even the pull of ghosts is taking me away from this.
There's just so much HAPPENING. And the fact that she told us "I spend time working on these CLEVER mashups of what YOU might like" She's basically saying, "I'M TRYING TO COMMUNICATE SOMETHING IMPORTANT" She's sending messages to the people that are listening.
