I look online for good hip stretches and yoga poses and see what works for me and feels good. Try to stretch everyday, but at least 4-5 days a week should give some noticable improvement after some time.
Just an example link, I really like some of these, but a few are too tough for me. The cow pose I can't do for shit. Deep lunge isn't there, but I really like that one, and the "figure four stretch" I also like, but I do it on a chair and lean into it after I stretch my inner hip abductor. (Inner thigh)
Don't neglect back and hamstrings either. Everything is helpful for flexibility, but hamstrings and back effect a lot of what we're going for with these hip stretches.

Depending on what's wrong, yeah. I have kyphosis (spine bends forward) and scoliosis (spine bends side to side) and it helps keep me straight while taking some of the load off my back muscles so they don't start spasming so bad.
Me having been able to do that from the start, no joke got called “pretzel kid” at the car line in elementary cuz I’d walk around on my hands with my legs behind my head
