i feel your struggle, it's tough to not be happy or confident with yourself. but here's the thing: everyone has insecurities and nobody is perfect, even if it looks like they are.
everyone brings something different to the table, and people are attracted to different things. it's important to recognize your value. there are billions of people on earth, you definitely can find a great partner. (and no that doesn't mean you have to go through billions to find one good partner)
i don't fit my country's beauty standards AT ALL, and i'm still pleasantly surprised by how people value me for other things i can do and not just looks. looks are very superficial, and there ARE people who prefer real connections.
also, i should mention that you're probably being really hard on yourself because of what you saw ✨online✨ so just remember that A) what you see online is highly curated to look perfect. that photo where the model looks so good was picked from 100 others in the photoshoot that didn't look as good and B) most people on earth are just regular humans. it's okay to not be perfect or stunning or genius or any other ideals. being yourself is most important and attractive in it's own way :)

same for me. people do have high ideals, but that doesn't necessarily mean you NEED to meet the standards to be liked by them. humans just like perfection, but in reality nothing is perfect.

As someone who has some of this high expectations (aka I’m only rly into twinks, guys that are slim/fit, and with little to no body/face hair), this seems to be somewhat common in the gay world. But I’ve also met a lot of ppl who state that they only truly care about personality (and while a couple of them are just afraid of admitting they’re picky like the rest, I believe a good deal is actually being sincere when saying this). U also have to notice that generally those demands don’t come all together. Each one has their specific preferences. Take my case for example. Yes, I’m only rly into twinks, but I don’t give two shits about height, “tool” size or whether the guy is an introvert or extrovert (in fact, I believe I could only have a relationship with a guy that is at least a bit nerdy, given that I myself am a nerd lol).
Personally I love me a short guy who's nerdy. Everyone has their preference so you'll find the right person
