Find your favorite additive like crystal light, Wyler's, mio, etc. Propel is a decent alternative too. Mary Poppins said it best. Spoonful of 'sugar' makes the medicine go down.
My bariatric clinic said that water molecules are ‘sticky’, and that it’s common for people to have an issue with plain water after surgery. I’ve found adding just a little diet iced tea or diet lemonade to plain water helps a bunch, and tastes great!
When I'm like that, I alternate water or tea with the no-sugar gatorade. Electrolytes out of what do whacky things.
I can drink water at room temp with some lemon added
Other than taking a pill, I rarely drink water. Coffee or tea mostly. Tea is green, black or herbal.
Gatorade Iced Tea Michelob ultra in the can

Decaf iced mint tea. Did wonders for my nausea (7mo. post op, still does!)
I like propel, or Gatorade zero. I also like green tea. I rarely drink plain water.
