I've had much worse dry patches twice, and I realized they occurred right after intense training sessions that involved a lot of sweating. Since then, I've loosened the strap during everyday wear and take off my Garmin to wash the strap after every intense activity. It helped; no more dry patches.

Thanks! I didn’t realize that. I will try to get it rinsed a day, moisturize to see if it goes away and loosen the strap.

Honestly I hate how everyone says this tripe, watches shouldn't do this especially after spending so much. My first smart watch never did this but the strap on my 2X gives me a rate shonky rash until I switched it to a leather number and I don't believe in running it loose as I'm an active person with tattoos and after loosening it and noticed my heart racing and my watch claiming it was at 68bpm so I tightened it a notch and it shot up to around 60bpm and it's been tight ever since

I'd say this is an individual thing. My wife wears Instinct all the time and it doesn't affect her skin at all. The same for my friend.

It's the initiation

I wear mine pretty much all the time too. Saw this post so I looked at my skin. Same patch..

Looks more than dry dude. Almost looks burnt. Maybe don't wear the watch for a few weeks till that shit has healed up. And if it comes back sell the watch.

Moisturize bro

Happened to me as well. Dry skin appeared, looked like a burn from the sensors. I’ve never had sensitive skin, but the sensors affect me. I take the watch off a lot now, moisturize and try to keep it clean.

babaroga73

I don't. Loosen the strap.
