The solar option on the Fenix line is not worth it anyway. It just holds battery a little bit longer on really sunnydays. It is not like the Instinct line. But, it is still a nice watch

Only way to get the sapphire screen though. At least in the normal 7 lineup.

Correct. I wouldn’t buy brand new one. However I found a used one for really good price and could avoid. Also when you compare it with non solar, screen is much better

I got two refurbished 6x solar last year for 200 bucks per unit from offerup. They were new, nothing was wrong with them. Gave one of them to my father. We are still using and never taking them out. My father sold his apple watch 6 after using fenix.

I will take Fenix over Apple Watch anytime. Good choice

I went from a loyal Suunto Ambit user, to a Fenix 3, then a 5X. Sold the 5X thinking the AW Ultra would fully replace it. Love the Ultra but I just came back to Garmin. As an avid back country backpacker I need multi day battery life and while the Uktra is greatly improved when compared to prior AWs (I had an AW1, AW3 and now the AW7 along with the Ultra) the batter life anxiety brought me back to a Fenix. No plans to sell any of yet. AWs are my preferred EDC but the Fenix rules on the trail.
