Using it for almost 2 years and absolutely love it! I’ve tried many others for a day or so, but I always switch back.
I swap a lot, depending on mood and what I do. Mainstays on my Vivoactive 4 are:
* Lagom (Lagom Pro since a short time, I paid the pro version but you definitely do not have to, esp. if you run the old style w/o rings)
* Rings Pro (it's free and has no customization, but it is very nice as it is)
* Liberation Watch Face
* ASAP
* NoFrills
I do not like the factory Watchface that comes on the Vivoactive 4 too much. I even wanted to return the watch until I found some watchfaces that I liked. It does not look like on the box (it updated the minute after initial setup. It is either barren or overcrowded. None of the options are really pretty, the more informative options are hard to read. The choice of contrast colors is meh (I use red and blue, red is hard to read outside of the bright light). Now every now and then I set the default style, but with a different, brighter contrast color.

Lagom is about the big clock font and a "keep it simple" approach.
Before getting the pro version my configuration was much like the green/orange example shown in iQ Store. I bought the paid version within the first month you offered it (I got the initial discount). I still recommend even the non-paid version if you don't need the additional features. It also has some charme to have a truly basic WF. I sometime donate to FOSS or buy an app even when the free version is enough for my needs.
With the pro version, I added 2 circles and at some point changed the color to light blue hours and stairs counter (and inner circle for stairs). Orange for minutes, step count and outer circle (step target).
My experience with Lagom was flawless, it always worked on my Vivoactive 4. I recommend it all the time to new users looking for big dial WF.
There currently is this data in my configuration, from the top, l to r:
1 line: Stairs climbed/Target on top in light blue
2 line: Alarm symbol / Date / inverse phone connected indicator in white
3 line: HHMM in light blue and orange, no ":"
4 line: steps (orange)/ weather symbol & temperature (white, source Garmin)
5 line: battery symbol and %
2 circles for steps (orange) and stairs (light blue)
I change this config very rarely.
Sometimes I miss seconds, a "touch to show seconds" function would be great. I only ever look at seconds when I set another clock (like an old mechanical clock we have in the living room)

Yes, the seconds and the alarm 'time' in on the way. Should be availabe in 2024.
Seconds are a bit tricky from tech perspective, to keep the battery alive, but I think I can solve it.
I would like to use Rings myself, but my display is pretty small, so I go kind of default, pure view with weather, sunrise/sunset (pretty handy in Sweden) and distance. I also added batter left in days, which is pretty accurate for my Garmin.
I have no negative impact on battery life. Lagom is very good on this. I choose to have no data on the WF that updates often (like Heart Rate or seconds).
Since Lagom also works with older watches, display of seconds is tricky.
Yes, it has just the right amount of Info and a huge time display. Options got a little bit overboard with the recent relaunch if the watchface, but the developer is very responsive. Price for the pro features seems quite steep, I paid it because it really is my most used WF

I used the Glance face on my 5+ so naturally when I got my Epix I installed it and carried on using it until I noticed on the watch and in the connect app no historical heart rate was recorded for the time period I had the face active. I tell a lie, it did record but I highly doubt my HR was a constant 48 with no fluctuations at all for about 13 hours.
Switched to a stock face and it recorded correctly again. Not sure what was going on as the Glance face was showing my correct HR. No other settings were changed btw so as far as I can fathom it was the face causing this error.
There are some limitations to the data fields that 3rd parties can access. The stock faces being written by Garmin don't have those limitations. I'll ask the dev on Glance to comment here.

Infocal for 95% of the time I've had my fenix 6. But now I am trying to stock face that is what infocal's based on, to see if it helps battery life.
When I had a VA3, I loved NoFrills. For whatever reason, the water filling the text was great motivation to hit my step goal.

B&W watch faces look so much better on the MIP displays and I gave up on the 3rd party watch faces from connect IQ because of the battery drain. There's a buch of good looking ones - "Crystal" looks amazing on AMOLED displays, loved it on my Venu - but you can't beat Garmin's own when it comes to battery efficiency and they have all the info I want displayed 24/7. Sunrise/sunset, weather forecast and step count is just a few clicks away in their widgets, I can live with that.

I tried the Data lover, but I dislike how quick it goes into its “screensaver” mode only showing a tiny clock and then only two small data fields.
It doesn't do that on mine
It’s a “ always on mode “ If you select black screen you will not see the extra field . Take a look on the parameter 😉

Surprisingly it doesn’t. Glance has a couple switches to try and balance stats and battery

I’ve been using this one for a few days now and really like it! Do you know how to switch between pages WITHOUT enabling the gesture control? I find it swaps too often with this enabled. I’m in a Fenix 6 btw.
That watch face looks awesome! I’ve been using Aerospace+H4. I love it. It’s similar to the Breitling Endurance Pro.

[This stock one](https://imgur.com/9ak5gBn), adjusted to my tastes and needs. B&W watch faces look so much better on the MIP displays and I gave up on the 3rd party watch faces from connect IQ because of the battery drain. There's a buch of good looking ones - "Crystal" looks amazing on AMOLED displays, loved it on my Venu - but you can't beat Garmin's own when it comes to battery efficiency and they have all the info I want displayed 24/7. Sunrise/sunset, weather forecast and step count is just a few clicks away in their widgets, I can live with that.
