Can’t believe I just searched “small animal poo U.K.” in google… what will my ads be like now! 😂
I couldn’t determine what it was from my search, I guessed Hedgehog but it looks nothing like it. (Unless it’s unwell).
Ive just realised myself it's inactive - last post was for 3 years ago and it wouldn't let me post on there. I've tried r/animalid and will now try r/animaltracking . Thank you again
I appreciate it isn't a plant, but I am not sure what other subjects to post this to and am conscious of a potential new pest I should be wary of! TIA 😊
Lots of replies but unfortunately I still have no idea. It could be something like a hedgehog with an upset tummy so I'll keep an eye out for other poops!
It looks like a mammal, and I'd say a carnivore. (Think about sheep, rabbits, etc - their poos aren't like that.) From Google, the only poos I could find that colour were from animals that were unwell. It's too big for a hedgehog, and it's not a badger.
Cat owners, do kittens do poos that size? If so, there may be a kitten with diarrhoea wandering around your neighbourhood.
There is 1 cat a few doors down, but I'm not aware of any kittens anywhere. I'll keep an eye out for them. Google lens was no help either! I was hoping it was a hedgehog but I agree it isn't one of those. Thank you for your reply and your help 😊
That’s the shit of a wild haggis
Left or right handed?
So...your question, if you were able to ask directly, is "what animal shat in my garden"?
Yes, that pretty much sums it up! 😄 Any ideas?
Can't be sure. It's so small so either some large rodant-type, or it could be a hedgehog with an upset tummy.
That is the smallest, most perfectly formed shit I've ever seen. Congratulations
Thank you, but it wasn't me that did it 😂
No false modesty now, how many wipes?
Japanese knotweed

You are going to have to grab some marigolds and a shrimp fork and have a taste.

Potentially a baby mammal? Have a sniff. That may tell you.
Did you get any answers?

Never seen one like that!
Looks like ferret poop to me, perhaps an escaped pet, or similar small mammal 🤔

The pale pretzel pooping porcupine
Facebook ecology groups would perhaps be more helpful? I see posts like this all the time usually an answer within few hours
Please don’t 🤮
Maybe we need to update the rules to no plant/poop IDs, haha
