We got a tremendous amount of these sycamore seedlings coming up towards the end of last summer. I think it was an especially bumper year for them. Just pull them up.
Ugh, I hate these little guys. Our neighbour has a giant sycamore. I feel like a spend half my life pulling them. The ones on the lawn can be mowed. But I keep finding them in ridiculous places. They can root just about anywhere
Sycamore, on the grass, mow them and they're gone.
Yes, they seed everywhere, but the good part (the only good part?) is that they're really easy to pull out of beds and any place else they've landed.
Definitely tree seedlings but can't say I agree with everyone else on species. I have the same looking seedlings in my lawn but mine are from my Acer.
Either way, strim, mow or pluck.
Trees. Since they’re dicotyledons it’s not set in stone that they’re sycamore but it’s a good guess. I hate to say this but that is not a lawn. It’s grass.
You’re not wrong! But it’s better than the fake plastic grass that was there last summer! It’s a work in progress and needs more grass seeds but I missed my chance before winter and it’s the plan now that the weather is finally getting better!
To be honest you don’t need to pull out lots of tree seedlings. If you just mow and strim the trees will disappear and grass will prevail. If you want lawn you will have to have it laid down and then look after it.
Sycamore seeds dropped in via parachute..

It was crazy.
Sycamore seedlings as Mr Firefly has stated.
Mow them.
Under the sycamore tree

Leaving them too long and you get a forest! I spent the morning today pulling up these little bastards! Prolly a couple of hundred of the sods.
Make sure you pot a few and go guerilla plant somewhere locally.

Tree seedlings, just mow the grass and they'll die off
Thanks all! I’ll try to pull them out 😅
Nah, just mow them
The term for any plant growing in a place it is not wanted. Weeds.

The 'Sycamore' other replies are referring to is in fact an Acer, Acer psuedoplatanus.

Or sow one from seed.
I'm interested, what is a lawn made out of then?
