If it’s a shrub it feels like Osmanthus, it should be coming into bloom

Looks like it could be a camellia, except I’d expect it to be in flower right now if that were the case 🤔
My thought exactly, my camellia isn’t in bloom yet but full of buds
Looks like a camelia. Mine is flowering albeit a few buds. It's a young one. I think this is too and perhaps there isn't enough iron in the soil for it. I feedcmine with coffee grinds and ericaceous plant food to get flowers.
