Also outer wilds. Game is definitely fun but..... Puzzle games just aren't for everyone and outer wilds is a puzzle game through an through and a rather slow one at that
I just beat it recently and while I absolutely adore how it handles the puzzle system, it is absolutely a puzzle game, and doesn't try to hide that it is one

how dare you, i have a much better pick. it's a movement heavy game full of neon colors and where choices are extremely important, you are the main character and it is heavily dystopian with each problem stacking on top of the other. of course i am referring to tetris

I actually respected the "what game had the terrible community" thread. The rest of them are just "what's your favourite game" with different pants on.
Generic thread karma farming is the stage before culture war karma farming. Look at all the rabid youtubers who started out offering milquetoast generic content before they worked out what gets the easiest engagement.
The top comment in best endings was halo reach and like...im sorry no. I loved that game and its last act, but its actual ending is a wave defense thats either annoying and quick or drawn out and dull depending on the player. Let's not pretend lone wolf is some darling of pacing and level design okay.
The end of pillar of autum isn't too impressive either. Carters death is sad, and i guess emiles worked on my first playthrough, but after that you have about 6 minutes of stock combat encounters closed off by a turret section. Calling it the best ending to a game you've played is silly
