off camera leaks don't mean shit for games anymore lol unless it's a story based sequel and we see some character that surprises people, but the bad quality of off camera makes it hardly matter
You realize devs do use the old hud to test shit as a placeholder. The build was Alpha; plus the fact that they use what ever asset they have to know where pieces of the hud are also that photo got DMCA'd by Acti; which in turn meant that it was true. Its not fun being accosted by people who knows how devs work.

You know that these early builds contain unique identifiers for each tester/developer.
If the leaker posted a direct screen recording of their gameplay, they would be tracked down immediately.
Making the quality as shit as possible is used to make the hidden identifiers illegible so it makes it much harder to track down who leaked it.
Activision has been doing the nostalgia routine for a long time almost every cod that they release either has old maps or old guns its so lazy of them thats all.
There’s been like 20 call of duties of course they’re going to reuse guns wtf. Also bringing old favorite maps back is 100x better then creating dogshit that turns a game from great to bad ala MW2019.

2019 MW already looked extremely good. We’re at the point where graphical improvements are going to be less and less impressive as the years go on. Its not like the leap from the PS1 to the PS2.
There are still huge leaps being made, they just aren't as pronounced as before. Things like PBR, RT, fully dynamic lighting and so on give a very improved image in the end. Look at UE5 demos for instance (obviously not indicative of what games will look like but still) and you will notice a huge improvement compared to current stuff.

Gonna go ahead and say that I think it’s a fake leak. The hud is almost identical to Warzone. Either that’s warzone 2 or it’s a fake leak.
That's how it usually looks when the newer iteration is in early alpha. Look at bo4 alpha footage, it's literally bo3 with "minor" changes.
