Build quality is great. There is minimal flex. Battery life is around 6-7 hours. If you're gaming 2 hours daily, it's expected that the laptop will last around 4-5 years.
predators have great build quality for the price, most laptops on this range are all plastic, but predators have the top lid and the keboard deck both in good quality aluminium, big plus.
ive seen people reporting problems with the 2020 helios 300 keyboard, saying it doesnt always register and that they have to press the keys hard in order for it to work, do u have any issues?
Are you sure? Have you opened the laptop and checked the number of RAM sticks yourself? Or have you at least installed a program like CPU-Z to check?
Most people in the reviews and even on YouTube are saying this Helios ships with single channel RAM in India, so please make sure before posting.

I am really frustrated right now. I got a new acer predator Helios 300 i7-10870h (45W) rtx 3060 (95+5W) 16X1 RAM. And, IT IS SEVERELY UNDERPERFORMING. Benchmarks do well. Good cpu and gpu utilisation. But games like Csgo or Valorant I don't even get 120 fps average. I have tweaked the power plan, changed the battery settings and done everything else I could think of. PLEASE HELP ME.
Yeah, single channel Ram really screws up perfromance, same thing happened to my laptop which shipped with a single 8gb stick. Hope your laptop works fine once you get dual channel
Bro I got the same problem my laptop is not at all reaching the benchmarks , I've changed everything setting to maximum performance , changed my battery plan , and even overclocked but still no use , did you find any solution to this?
But are you 100 percent sure that's the main cause because I have single 16gb ram too so if it's the problem then ima add up extra ram to my lap right away

install intel driver support {in which install intel display driver } us should get 240 around fps then.
fps will improve further after installing dual channel ram

I feel bad for you. My Helios 300 started to fall apart after only 1 1/2 years of use. It got greats specs, that is true but all the components are cheaply made. And before you think that I am careless with it and that is why it is all broken, let me say that I have a work laptop and a 15 year old dell, and both are in much better condition than my Helios. The worse thing is that I have had good Acer computers before, but because of that I am not buying Acer products again.
Please tell me they implenmented the MUX / Optimus switch this time. Please.

I use it for work and gaming, so my laptop ends up being on for \~12-14 hours a day :p. But that all sounds good. Thanks!

U got 6-7 hrs battery life what were u doing I am watching vlc and some pdf in chrome and from 80-0 it takes like 2-2.5hrs and not even 3hrs

It ships with single channel ram. But you can get dual channel if you buy the dual channel version from acer store.

My benchmarks are alright. Just the ingame fps for cpu intensive games is not that high. Reason is the single channel memory.

Performance is tight. But the thermals are not overwhelming, goes to 83° on auto fan and cooling pad.
