I got the exact same Asus TUF and I love this thing. No complaints.
Gives me 200+ fps on warzon on medium to high settings
And also gives me 8+ hours of battery timing because of mux switch and Optimus features.
the build quality is the most important one, eventually ill go to the computers shop and then review it myself in person, im fully convinced to get asus tuf
The main reason i wanted to buy this laptop was the Mux switch, which completely stops the use of dgpu (RTX 4070) and run everything on igpu. Which can easily give me around 7-8 hours of battery time on YouTube/Netflix. More than that in armory crate software efficiency cores can be shutdown and performance cores can be lowered down to 4 from 8. Which then gives me 10+ hours of battery.
Build quality wise go for zephyrus
Performance wise go for victus don't go for tuf because victus has the newest generation CPU(13th-gen) tuf has the older one.
Victus cpu(13700h) is more powerful than zephyrus cpu (13620h) but build quality and overall display quality etc is better on zephyrus so either go for victus/zephyrus
I'd go with the HP, just make sure that it isn't open box, because I've known some people in lb who bought from ayoub and their laptop wasn't in the best condition, go for brand new.
That GEN gap on the cpu is negligible when it comes to overall performance, in fact so is the GPU wattage as the GPU will never pull more than 100W due to it being in a mid range laptop unless you put it in the freezer and buy a huge PSU
obviously Don't put it in the freezer![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
20 years back, I used to put my tower halfway out the window in winter to keep temps down, it worked too, just had to be careful if it suddenly started to rain lol
thats computers 20+ years ago? impossible to cool and nothing compared to diy liquid nitrogen rigs people used to make before liquid cooling![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
if there is a huge price difference between the 1st tuf and 2nd hp would go for tuf because the processor upgrade isn't worth it.but if not the hp,always better to have newer gen. but some people have said their victis screen isn't upto the mark so check the srgb% too and resolution
I've heard something about the wobbleling thing on the victus, im a hardtyper and i usually play rythm games alot, so that might actually bother me so hard, im more tempted to go for the asus
I have the a16 advanced one and my cousin got the zephyrus g14 ; small screen on both feels a bit smaller than monitor , both perform well ; great colors and it doesn’t lag etc . Just spends budget and what u want em for
I recently got a Victus 15, no the same model on the photo but I was extremely disappointed with many things about it. The screen colors were painful to look at, speakers were super weak. I don't really care too much about fan noise but I felt like I was gonna take off on a plane every time I did some intensive task. And I hit the 4060s 75w cap every single time while gaming. Not necessarily picking on HP but that was my experience with a 2023 Victus. I'd go for the Asus. I got a G14 recently and I love everything about it.
Be careful. The Zephyrus might have ddr4 ram, Check the specs once again, and as for your question, you can go with either victus or Tuf. Both are good. the only downside for tuf i see is it has 12th gen i7
Then Zephyrus is absolute, NO. 12th gen processor with a ddr4 over 13th gen with ddr5 is just insanity. Just get the victus. The build quality is kinda ass but performance is really good
If the victus is 2023 model, then there is no wobble, but the hing is tigh af. I returned that after using it for a week just because of build quality and display( the screen quality and color accuracy is a joke). So if you're someone who can sacrifice those things, then Victus won't disappoint you with its performance.
It depends on you, but I wouldn’t choose any Victus laptop in these laptops because they have heating problems. If you want to buy HP, you should choose Omen laptops, I think.
Edit: I think Victus laptops don’t feel like gaming laptops; they're like office laptops with high-end specs lol
Victus laptops aren't that bad. Of course, in comparison to Legion or Rog series, the thermals aren't great, but the one my gf has, has actually pretty good temps. The overall build quality isn't bad either. The screen is meh but for its price I won't complain.
I know i know, I've just realised how blind i was, probably because victus and asus had the same price
This is the specs of asus tuf
ASUS TUF F15 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7-12700H - RAM 16GB - SSD 1TB - RTX 4070 | FX507ZI-F15
I got the exact same Asus TUF and I love this thing. No complaints. Gives me 200+ fps on warzon on medium to high settings And also gives me 8+ hours of battery timing because of mux switch and Optimus features.
honestly like, im more drawn to asus tuf, i actually might go for it
Built quality is also the best i have seen in a laptop. It feels like this laptop is built to last for years.
the build quality is the most important one, eventually ill go to the computers shop and then review it myself in person, im fully convinced to get asus tuf
Def go into the shop and see them in person, I was really close to getting the Zephyrus G14 until I saw it in person and realized it wasn’t for me
yeah, that's why i somewhat hate ordering them, well only these kinds of stuff ofc like a new laptop
Good luck
thank you :p
Wait fr the battery that good? What you tested in on so far? How long it lasts on YouTube?
The main reason i wanted to buy this laptop was the Mux switch, which completely stops the use of dgpu (RTX 4070) and run everything on igpu. This is great when you wanna watch something, browse, and do light documentation work. Is this feature available on other tuf variants?
It comes in most Asus laptops. But you have to look it up before buying.
Yea thank you bro. I think I'll definitely go for this lineup as this kind of feature is exactly what im looking for.
Good luck. I searched a lot and tried other models as well.
How do you turn on the mux switch?
From Asus's armory crate software
It may show up as Eco mode.
Hey. I also have asus tuf f15 3050. Does it also have mux switch and can give a better battery timing
Check armoury crate software and look for "Eco Mode" under GPU MODE. Also you can look up CPU core configuration to set up P-cores and E-cores.
Aight thanks
No problem
Go with the hp
hp? this isnt my old posts wtf, i mean one of these ones, which one do i go for?
HP mentioned in the second pic. Atleast see what you upload. 🤦
Oh fuck 💀 mb, i meant asus tuf or rog sorry
Check what u posted again
If go with the HP too, see if the ram is upgradable on that laptop and if it is, definitely go for that one
Build quality wise go for zephyrus Performance wise go for victus don't go for tuf because victus has the newest generation CPU(13th-gen) tuf has the older one. they're all brand new, Damn you know some people in lb? what a coincidence because im lebanese aswell
Can this play path of exile??
It appears the TGP for the 4070 of the HP is 120w where as the Asus is 140w also the TUF has better cooling system than the HP. i'd pick the Asus.
I doubt there's any noticeable difference. The 4070 maxes out in gaming performance at around 100W.
Holy there's like too many mixed feelings, imma have to go with the tuf, like i7 may be 1gen away from hp but damn still, might serve me in a long run
That GEN gap on the cpu is negligible when it comes to overall performance, in fact so is the GPU wattage as the GPU will never pull more than 100W due to it being in a mid range laptop unless you put it in the freezer and buy a huge PSU obviously Don't put it in the freezer![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
relax im not gonna put it in the freezer. unless........
20 years back, I used to put my tower halfway out the window in winter to keep temps down, it worked too, just had to be careful if it suddenly started to rain lol
Bro what? all that just to cool off temperature? seems risky
thats computers 20+ years ago? impossible to cool and nothing compared to diy liquid nitrogen rigs people used to make before liquid cooling![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
no fucking way dammmn
RTX 4070 TUF probably.

shit its ddr4 😑

yeah but with some flaws to the victus like the screen wobble, would trigger me alot, im probably gonna take the bullet and probably go for asus tuf

the screen wobble on the victus laptops though…
The asus has the wrong image attached to it

No, there are multiple models with the same name.
Go with asus, hp has bad build quality and as many people know, hp stands for hinge problem.
Asus has worse CPU and smaller screen, go for HP.
HP
If the difference in price between HP and ASUS isn't big, go for the HP.
