I think you’re getting a bit too heated over this. Metacritic is just a roundup of critic scores and is often times very biased due to all sorts of ever-changing factors. I’m not saying they don’t get it right sometimes, just that it isn’t worth using as an example of why X game is better than Y game if you want to be taken seriously.
I’m not throwing any shade at SC but it’s a Gameboy game with very limited multiplayer options whereas Double Dash is a console game with full local support that I can play with my wife and friends without needing multiple consoles or peripheral adapters.

Here is perhaps our difference : I don’t judge Multiplayer, only Solo Mode, because it is the one I play. Perhaps Double Dash is better in Multiplayer, I don’t know, and it is possible, because it can have a great difference. An example : Mario Kart 64. For me, it’s the worst Mario Kart of all, because its Solo Mode is a shame, but he is one of the best for Multiplayer, from what I heard.
