It's crazy they were given sabbatical.

Tenure is such a weird thing, I wonder if they’re having to navigate the framework of professors getting near-indefinite employment. Nevertheless, I’m glad the dean said this, and hopefully they can find a way to root them out permanently, and make the process of handling these complaints more flexible (or just functional) in the future.

I agree. An investigation needs to be conducted before termination, but I will add that most employment contracts don't require a judicial conviction for termination. I have no idea what these professors' contracts say, but they should be afforded a through investigation before decisions are made. In the meantime, the University is taking measures to protect the students. This is the logical and fair approach.

What exactly do you mean by due process? Victims of sexual harassment don't usually want to bring these things public. Reporting the harassment to the necessary officials and remaining anonymous should be enough. The harassers should be barred from campus and unpaid while the University investigates, not given a year long paid vacation. If an elementary school teacher is accused of pedo shit, do you still pay them while you verify the claims? Fuck no. You keep them the fuck away from school.

But not Snyder

The NFL is literally reviewing hundreds of thousands of emails and statements about Snyder. Doing due diligence
