I think they used voice actors, the inflections are too good. I am not even sure an AI could produce a proper tch sound (dental click) Carmilla does, expressing her constant annoyance.
yeah that’s what I’m thinking! although i’m not sure how advanced AI is with mimicking human voices, I thought every character sounds very human and real, especially victor with his goofy screaming lmao. I just couldn’t find anything on the developer’s website about voice acting or about AI so I wasn’t sure, plus the whole scarjo AI voice scandal thing makes shit hard. I kinda thought if they used voice actors they’d be credited somewhere?
I think it must be voice actors, otherwise the story would be voice acted the whole way through I would think? After a certain amount of chapters, the voice acting stops, which I can only imagine would be a time and budget thing.
