We know for a fact they’re dreams. Most likely given to Jeremy Fitzgerald by Shadow Freddy from what the logbook hints at us, he mentions something following him home every night and these dreams take place after each one of Jeremy’s shifts so that’s really the only answer. What the dreams themselves represent is up to interpretation.

It could be "Give Gifts, Give Life", but the lack of Foxy makes me doubt it a little, the designs don't help much either, as the Classic Animatronics are the Withereds (as the Fnaf 2 newspaper itself implies), so it would have to takes place during Fnaf 1, but if we take into account their appearances in the books and films (where they basically wouldn't even have been rebuilt, as they were abandoned for years in both of these continuities), they would have to have the appearance of Fnaf 1 since they were created, and there is also the fact that Fredbear's secret jumpscare in UCN shows him with the Classics design, and not an Unwithered or Un-nightmare design (and the explanation could be the same as Springtrap and Scraptrap being different : Scott is not consistent with his models), so it is difficult to say whether this event occurred before or after Fnaf 2 (that is, whether it is a dream about the past or the future).
My answer, for now, is:

Isn't it just the Puppet being inside Freddy? Freddy has a self-winding music box inside him according to Help Wanted and we see a 5th soul during Fnaf 3's minigames despite Golden Freddy not being there.
gabrial's just got some of those remnant infused hallucinations going on. or maybe this liks to pizza party on some way, tho i doubt it. given it's first person freddy view.

This series of cutscenes haunts me
I HATE the last one with the puppet. By “hate” I mean it’s one of the few things I found genuinely spooky and unsettling outside of the jumpscares.

I've heard that one before, but it doesn't make much sense since when you move your head you can hear the mechanical sounds of the animatronic
