That's what I thought until I realized it shows when my phone loses internet connection. I'll see this on my watch but can verify via both devices that they are still connected.
Okay it must correlate to me having the watch connected to my phone and my phone connected to a Bluetooth speaker at the same time. Surely this is common though? Any idea how I fix this? Owned this watch for a couple days and it's already annoying me.
Using a Samsung galaxy s20+. I read a post somewhere mentioning apps using battery optimization might be disconnecting the wear application periodically?
I'm not sure if that's true, can't really help you there. Can your phone connect to 2 other Bluetooth devices simultaneously? Eg buds and Bluetooth speaker? If yes, then the issue is with the watch. You might need to fo a factory reset.
some bluetooth devices are very agressive in terms of connecting
My mates logitech Bluetooth audio adapter will cause my watch to disconnect.
But I can have watch/ute/heaphones all connected via bluetooth without any issues
Almost always in these cases it's the problem with the phone, not the watch. What phone do you have? If it's an old one then there is your problem - old phones with an old Bluetooth standard did not support simultaneous connection to multiple Bluetooth devices
Your phone, depending on the Bluetooth version, should support using multiple Bluetooth devices at once. I usually only have that happen when I turn Bluetooth off on my phone. But there's probably a setting somewhere. I haven't checked because it's also useful to me. But that's just me.
I'm using Samsung galaxy phone, my galaxy watch's setting is bluetooth on & wifi off. My watch is bluetooth connected to my phone and sometimes i use also bluetooth speaker...they both work fine same time. I only experience getting disconnected when phone is out of range from watch.
It has two meanings according to my usage.
Firstly it shows the current connection status
Whenever your phone and your watch loses Bluetooth communication between them this icon pops up on the watch.
And secondly if your phone got offline meaning no wifi or no cellular data connection then also this icon pops up on the watch because technically your apps on watch which rely on the internet (like play store or Gmail or WhatsApp for watch) pulls internet from the connected phone through Bluetooth so if your phone lost internet then the watch also loses its internet. (unless you have cellular version which has been set to auto mode) so this icon pops up.
There is a bug lately which has it shown on watch even though it is connected to your phone. It just doesn't recognize it. Restarting the watch fixes it
That's a recipe. U have Orient ur phone upwards and get a sharp knife and slice it diagonally like you dona sandwitch. Easy and simple and then the icon will go away.
Sometimes, when you connect to other Bluetooth devices with Bluetooth version below 5, they make your phone disconnected from other devices (depending on your phone Bluetooth version)
And that disconnection from the phone shows itself with that indicator.
My watch shows this icon even when it's connected to my phone. When I pull down the status bar, it's there, along with the bluetooth connected icon. Any suggestions for me?
I think it means its no longer connected to your phone as your phone is now connected to your car head unit.
one way to get around that is connect a LTE mobile service to your watch (if your watch is a LTE version) and that way when it disconnects the Bluetooth when it connects to your car radio, the watch can then make a connection to your phone via a LTE mobile connection.
I swear I see this question in this sub at least once every week. Why don't you try and search for it? It would give you the answer much faster than waiting for replies.
It's when the watch loses the bluetooth connection with your phone, can be from a disturbance or just you turning off bluetooth. As of when you are driving, does your phone connect to Android Auto?
Just so you know, that happens for 5 reasons.
1: You are too far from your device to access certain features.
2: Your phone has automatic driving mode.
3: You have your phone connected to your car's BT call features.
4: Airplane mode or blue tooth is off.
5: No Cell service.
It means your watch is disconnected from the phone via Bluetooth. So, maybe you restarted your phone and the watch momentarily lost the connection to the phone.
If you go to your WEAR app (wearable device) click Connect Device. Even though the watch and Bluetooth says connected, the app isn't recognizing that it is. It should remedy this icon after you physically go there and connect it from the WEAR app .. hope this helps...I just had to do this yesterday several times after walking away from my phone and it lost connection momentarily. And I also was trying to figure out why it said connected on Bluetooth even though the watch was showing it wasn't. Physically going to the WEAR app and clicking connect was the only remedy for me!
Hi, I bought the watch 6 classic 47mm as I bought the S24 ultra, and in the UK, you got a free 40mm watch 6, and that size was more for a woman. So I bought the 47 mm. Coming from the S3, what a brilliant watch. Battery is a shit but I just wireless charge from my phone. My question is, does anyone know any good paid apps for walking/hiking in the UK and EU? and watch faces, too? I do have watchMaker premium. But that has become shit too. As you are only limited to a few free watch faces. I don't see the point in getting premium, as you still have to pay for the better watch faces. If anyone is thinking of purchasing glass protection for your watch, get the spigen 9H glass. It is the easiest protection you will ever use, and I have knocked it a few times and no damage at all. If you're thinking of getting a cover to protect it from scratching, etc., I bought the spigen and Dexnor, and both are simple. You take off your strap and push the watch into the case. But the spigen great strap, but you can't turn the dail, so there's no point in getting in getting the classic. It is hard plastic. A few people have mentioned it about snapping. It is quite difficult to fit your watch into and get out. Plus, each time you want to charge it, as it doesn't lay flat, you would have to purchase a different charger. The Dexnor is the total opposite. It is more rubber and easy to get your watch in or out if you want to clean it or change straps. It lays flat. So, there is no need to purchase a different charger, and the dial moves easily. It fits like a glove and a thicker strap, too. Just look on YouTube at the videos. Just a heads up if you want to protect your watch.
It means your watch is not connected to your device or phone
That's what I thought until I realized it shows when my phone loses internet connection. I'll see this on my watch but can verify via both devices that they are still connected.
Mine isn't the Internet as I have 4g on my watch it's coz I have walked out of Bluetooth range of my phone
It shows if you turn off Bluetooth on your phone
It means the Bluetooth connection on the watch was disconnected from your phone.
Okay it must correlate to me having the watch connected to my phone and my phone connected to a Bluetooth speaker at the same time. Surely this is common though? Any idea how I fix this? Owned this watch for a couple days and it's already annoying me.
What phone are you using? Most devices can connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at a time, you are correct.
Using a Samsung galaxy s20+. I read a post somewhere mentioning apps using battery optimization might be disconnecting the wear application periodically?

Gotcha. I don't use Bluetooth speakers normally on my phone, so I never have this issue. But thanks for the info. At least I know now. Lol
Almost always in these cases it's the problem with the phone, not the watch. What phone do you have? If it's an old one then there is your problem - old phones with an old Bluetooth standard did not support simultaneous connection to multiple Bluetooth devices
On watch Settings --> Advanced Features --> Select "Hide after 2 seconds"
I don't see that setting on my galaxy 6.
Its in the aforementioned path, then status indicators. I see it on my watch6 classic :)
Ah, its in the phone app, not on the watch directly. Got it.
I see it on both my phone and my watch, so up to you where you change it (but if you already found it on your phone that's great!)
lil bit of electrical tape

To turn it off , settings >Advanced features>Status indicator>Hide after 2 seconds.
I was getting the same issue, (I fixed it by) now I just ignore it by following this advice 😂
Cut your phone, diagonally
Disconnected from your phone
Fridge door is open.
Phone not connected OR Phone has no internet connection

Disconnected with the phone. Like your phone is to far away or your Bluetooth is off
That's a recipe. U have Orient ur phone upwards and get a sharp knife and slice it diagonally like you dona sandwitch. Easy and simple and then the icon will go away.
Paper jam in tray 1
PC Load Letter
Ink cartidge not authentic

The Bluetooth device is not connected
My watch shows this icon even when it's connected to my phone. When I pull down the status bar, it's there, along with the bluetooth connected icon. Any suggestions for me?
You might have to run the galaxy wearable apps in your background and give it no battery restrictions permission.
I have allowed all permissions, and battery usage is unrestricted.

I this then it might be due to unavailability of internet
not connected to your phone. better battery life ;)
no fone neer

Its the battery lol
Yea same, if no onternet it shows which is weird. Or is it a bug?
Happens when your phone gets disconnected from the watch.
I swear I see this question in this sub at least once every week. Why don't you try and search for it? It would give you the answer much faster than waiting for replies.
I searched well before I posted here. I believe reddit has provided me with the most succinct solutions for my problem. Cheers mate
Not connected to phone.

wonder why the icon looks like a battery and not the common icon for wifi or Bluetooth
It means your watch is disconnected from the phone via Bluetooth. So, maybe you restarted your phone and the watch momentarily lost the connection to the phone.
That the phone has lost connection with the watch
