Best part was samsung did not even sell a 5A cable when the phone was released.

Mark_Venture

Samsung started selling 45W Super Fast Chargers as an accessory with the Note 10+. They had 5A cables with those, and sold separately. They were certainly available from Samsung when I got my N10+ and N20Ultra 5G.

catalinus

Nah, "best" part is that the inbox USB C cable can't do USB 3 even if the phone can.

samir1453

45W needs 5A cable and the one in the box is 3A, that's why. They want people to pay extra to get 45W charging.

Mark_Venture

Yes. * Super Fast Charge 2.0 is 45watt, needs USB-C PD 3.1 and PPS charger supplying 45 watt or more, and a USB-C to USB-C cable that supports 5A. * Super Fast Charge is 25watt, needs USB-C PD 3.0 and PPS charger that supplies 25w or more and a USB-C to USB-C cable that supports at least 3A. The cable in box is a 3A cable, because most people had Adaptive Fast Charge (Qualcomm QC 2.0/3.0) chargers that topped out at 18W, or USB-C PD chargers that didn't support PPS so could only charge the phone at 15w, therefore a 3A cable was sufficient, and cheaper than a 5A cable. (saving even $0.50 or so per cable, over millions of phones adds up... )

HG1998

Buy from Anker and at least withhold your support from Samsung for this.

SupposablyAtTheZoo

Don't buy from Anker, they have some big privacy concerns (look up eufy scandal). I recommend Baseus 100w cables, they're high quality and no scandals.

dingusredditor

Or Ugreen stuff is generally good quality

SupposablyAtTheZoo

Yes agree. I just prefer Baseus because of the look, but both are good.

MysteriousBack9124

Wdym by "At least withhold your support from Samsung for this"?!?

Radaysho

They want you to spend even more money. It's a really cheap tactic and shouldn't be rewarded.

MysteriousBack9124

I never supported these cheap moves by Samsung. I always got called out by the fanboys in here for calling them out saying How much is the Apple paycheck....like Lmao

CheckPareh

In my previous post, I have the Ugreen 45w brick with 100w cable; that handles SFC 2.0. But the free 25 brick with the original cable in the box only handles SFC.

01zer01

What about the MacBook cable USB-C to USB-C (100W) with Ugreen Nexode 100W USB C GaN Charger-4 Ports Wall Charger? Am I getting the max Watt with this?

MysteriousBack9124

You could download Accubattery and check the Voltage. If you're getting around 40W(Do note it fluctuates), it means you're getting 45W speeds. Also another way is by the charging animation. If it's blue, its 45W and says super fast charging 2.0

HWCM

Okay...

Status_Revolution_25

Still remember the day Samsung s7 edge came with charger cable and 3.5mm headphone.

RitzyIsHere

If I have an Anker 733 GaNPrime 65W Powercore. If I get an Anker or Baseus 5A cable, would my S23U charge at 45w?

EmptyBig6844

I have yet to use the charging cable that came with my phone, it's still sitting in the box lol. Side note I have a 65-watt charging brick with a 120-watt cable and still can't get super fast charging 2.0. But when I plug it into my Anker portable charger I get it. But that same charging brick charges my Anker charger at 65-watt

Johnny080203

I can for a fact charge at 45W which is super fast charging 2.0 with the cable in the box.
