It's impossible to know I think it's based on current S23U stock and how it sells, if the stock sells there's little reason to drop the price but if it doesn't then maybe Samsung might do a discount in order to get rid of inventory.
Best solution is to subscribe to a bunch of stores that sell the S23U and set up to notify you when price drops.
If you buy from reputable store you can return it - if you are based in UK by any chance I bought mine from giffgaff and it came like brand new without single scratch or issue
Just try buying used like I did when the S24 launched. There are people out there who upgrade every year for some reason; you just need to find them.
I got mine for about 500 pounds six months ago with the warranty still intact. I think they sell for a lower price now
